《Stupid Cat》108- Stupid fairy maid

Fubuki's fears that Wavr and Hifu were coming to assist her cleanup of the cats were unfounded.
A ball of water containing the robot maid Wavr floated down inside Danberu's fortress. A flash of green covered the empty grounds as Hifu condensed out of the air. Wavr sneered at a nearby barracks, through the windows she could see the shadows of fox spirits milling about. A grey shifty one caught her eye. She sniffed, wiping her nose with her sleeve.
"Killing them all would be vital to our efforts. Would that be outside of orders?"
Hifu slapped her hand on Wavr's shoulder, pressuring it.
"Holding back from now on sounds more fun. Don't you agree? You agree."
Wavr turned to the green haired maid and saw a generous smile on her lips. No good, huh. Too bad, Wavr thought. They would be an information leak. That grey one didn't look right to her. Anyone could see how untrustworthy they were. If they were Wavr. Wavr was especially worried since she had just wiped out a city. Poor Prsuka. It looked like a wonderful place. Her orders were merciless. Ichi was a monster.
Hifu was worried too. She was worried about Wavr, who wiped out the city of Prsuka. Hifu tried her best to hold Wavr back with her wind magic. She thought that as long as she was there, Wavr would behave herself. The innocents and cats of Prsuka both perished as tornadoes of flame and fat waterballs merrily rained down upon them. No one was left alive. Hifu felt betrayed.
She thought Wavr was nicer than that. She was quiet. She was the only one who would talk to Hifu in Avalon. They spent all day together. Wavr would keep a neat distance from Rikya, respecting her boundaries. Hifu didn't think much about the strange rumors surrounding Wavr, other maids just didn't understand her.

Even Fubuki steered clear of Wavr. What hope did the other maids have against her? Stories sprung up among the robot maids about Wavr, how she was the true master of Avalon and Fubuki was but her mere servant. That the girl she attended to, Rikya, was some evil god, who summoned Ichi to be their dark servant. To the maids, Ichi looked like a whirling black tornado, so it was natural for a robot maid to run away.
The maids Hifu and Wavr failed their mission to wipe out the cats. The maids succeeded in wiping out the nearby city, the one where the residents of Avalon planned to replenish their supplies from. Hifu hoped that she could make an excuse when the time came to report their efforts, saying that now, they could take everything.
It would be free! It would all be free! Think of the money they would save! Don't think of the dead innocents. Please.
Wavr and Hifu opened the giant robots chest and jumped inside. Hifu thought it best to guide Wavr to the only one who tolerated her presence, Rikya. She hoped Rikya would make an excuse for Wavr, otherwise, the both of them might have to fight their way out of Avalon to survive. Hifu didn't like that prospect. Fubuki's thundering form appeared in her mind like a storm cloud. She sighed as the chest to the giant robot closed.
In the cockpit of Avalon, Wavr found Ichi's sleeping body. Wavr thought it a good chance to finish him off, but she knew that Fubuki would be there in a flash if she did. Stupid druid with his stupid overpowered fairy maid, Wavr didn't like them one bit. Hifu frowned as she saw Wavr's emotionless face puff up with anger.
Hifu thought it would be for the best to leave it alone, which was why she decided to do the opposite. She thought it a good opportunity to learn more about Wavr and perhaps prevent a measure of Wavr's future mayhem.

"You look mad. Isn't this our Master, Wavr? Maybe we should bring him back to the castle..."
Hifu gingerly broached the topic. Wavr turned away from her.
"He's sleeping. Let him sleep. Who are we to judge this idiot for sleeping on metal?"
Hifu let the topic drop. It would definitely take time to get to the bottom of this. Hifu was the only one who could. She tightened her fist, imagining herself putting on a Sherlock Holmes costume as she stepped Ichi's body.

8 156Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
