《Stupid Cat》9- Sex and Violence pt. 2

Ichi took Myon's shot straight on his breastplate.
"Those bullets aren't going to kill me."
Myon fired a couple times more, shifting her aim to his head guard's grill for one shot out of five. The flurry of bullets didn't last, but when the sound stopped Ichi had his head covered with both arms. Myon sighed at Ichi, who blocked his own vision to avoid a dummy bullet to the eye.
"If this were a real fight-"
"This isn't a real fight," Ichi countered from behind his gloves, "this is kendo."
"A sport. That's," Myon paused, "right."
Myon scooted forward, shuffling into range and called out, "Tsuki!" as she jabbed with her stick straight toward Ichi's neck.
In kendo, Ichi thought, a tsuki is a dangerous attack that shouldn't be used lightly. In competition, it's not banned, but a strong tsuki signifies that you are fighting an opponent worth injuring for a victory. Using it when you don't need to is an act of desperation. This isn't a test. This is Myon wanting to see Ichi broken.
Ichi realized that before the tsuki hit, and scooted back beyond it's range. Although the guard wouldn't let him see the stick tapping the neck of his headguard, he felt the headguard shift on his head. Light touch. Even a sliver away from Myon, or a sliver closer to Myon, he felt like either would have ended up in punishment. Frustration for Myon's one handed tsuki not hitting Ichi, and Myon looking down on him if it hit full on.
Ichi's windpipe would have been crushed as well, but Ichi wasn't thinking about that at all.
"So, this is Myon? Such a sad smile," Ichi said looking down on her.
Ichi looked at Myon's face as the tsuki touched him. Light smiling Myon, but Ichi's nose could tell. This is anger. This is her saying, "I've lost? Again?" That isn't what Myon said out loud, that was what Ichi thought she thought inside.

What happened in reality was that Myon scooted forward again, her stick still at Ichi's throat, and her thighs under the dress unleashed all their force as she squatted and released them in one swift action. Ichi's time lost in thought and responding to Myon with words rather than knocking her stick away had cost him. Ichi floated back in the air from the force of the push against him briefly before crashing down flat on his back. As he hit the floor, Ichi started laughing. The sound reverberated throughout the spacious dojo. Myon stood over Ichi, her ungloved left hand tightening on her gun.
"Myon, you really hate losing, don't you, Myon?" Ichi said.
Myon stood silent, catching her breath.
She dropped the bamboo stick, and started undressing. Her armor came off all around her like a waterfall, and she turned as the last of it fell on the ground around her, walking towards big slatted paper doors. It wasn't an exit, Ichi saw, as Myon wrenched both slats aside with both her hands in an explosive motion. It looked like a dead end, pitch black all around her, not even the evening light touched the inside of that room.
Ichi saw Myon standing with her back to him, her long hair trailing down her back in a bunch, as around her lights flickered on revealing a wall of weapons. Strange rifles with sigils across them. Long spears with curved blades. Swords that looked like an orc wielded them. Myon went for a neat dresser with even square cubbyholes bolted to the wall. Selecting a top drawer, she pulled out a cartridge, and turned to Ichi.
Myon held up the cartridge for Ichi to see, tapping the golden bullets so he would notice from across the length of the dojo hall.
"These are the bullets I use against real human opponents. Because of my special gun, these bullets melt on firing, splattering the air with drops of molten gold. It's not normal gold. A single touch on the skin, and the opponent will die instantly. It's instantly lethal as well, poisonous."
"Use'em," Ichi said, standing up.

Isekai Winner: Super Sweepstakes!
Emma Longstone is not a regular person; she's famous for holding the world record for most Sweepstakes won by a single person! Her luck is good to the point where she's won the lottery multiple times in a row, accurately predicted the value of stocks years in advance, and never lost rock-paper-scissors. Unfortunately, things aren't always rosy at the top; having earned a fortune from her efforts as a professional sweepstaker, business owners everywhere despised her. That's why they assassinated her. On her way to the afterlife, her journey was disrupted by a deity called Tchadd. He offered her a chance to escape a brutal afterlife if she agreed to work for him. She agreed and was hired as an Isekai Winner, a person with qualities impressive enough to save entire worlds. Now she finds herself using sweepstaking to save worlds in non-intuitive ways!(Note: this description is misleading)
8 217Real Real Life
Jamie was having a bad day, until he was crushed to death by a beer delivery truck and things became a whole lot worse. Thrown back into the 'Real World', but now with access to his own stats and those of others Jamie must undertake a series of quests in order to level up and advance, and figure out just what in the name of all that is unholy is going on. Which is the real world? Is he in a game? A simulation? And who actually is his online friend Barry. Inspired greatly by the MUDs of the 90s, many of the aspects will be familiar to those who experienced the joys of text adventures, MUSHs, MURPEs, MUDs, modern MMORPGs or just some good old fashioned cybering with a 17/f/Cali who was anything but. This humorous, harem LitRPG story is the first story by experienced author Jamie Haremie under this pen name. Jamie has previously written horror and romance (sometimes together!) as well as tons and tons of riveting TPS reports. (Late 90s cultural reference? CHECK). Any and all comments and suggestions welcome!
8 230Treachery Lurks
Seirun has a monumental task ahead of him. He was appointed by his father to serve in the Imperial Court of Intrigue. Prey and predator are ever present in this Court and will Seirun be doomed to be prey or eventually rise to become a predator?
8 237Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
