《Rise as a Demon Lordress》Vol 1 Ch 16: The Next Four Guardians

Upon my return to the fortress I was greeted by two giant minotaurs gaurding the entrance.
This is new to me, since I'm positive there were no one guarding the entrance before I left.
The two minotaurs greeted me before I entered.
That wasn't the only change, another change was the interior to the first floor.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this was the first Guardian's doing.
"Mistress!" Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
"Yumo, I see you made yourself at home." I tell him.
He sweeps into a quick bow before straightening.
"How is it, Mistress? Is the first floor to your liking?" He asked.
"Depends, are there enough monsters and traps for unwanted guest?" I asked.
Yumo claps his hands together and smiles, "of course, enough that I hope my Mistress will not be disappointed." He says.
"I'm glad to hear it. One more thing, make sure you set up rewards and many items to give our unwanted guests fighting chances." I pointed out.
"Yes Mistress. If I may be so bold. I would like to set up a boss room on the first floor, may I?" Yumo asked.
"That's the idea. And you should be that boss. If they defeat you, reward them a random item, then send them to the next level." I add.
"Understood. If they lose, may I kill them?" He asked.
"You may, and you also have every right to let them live as well. If you choose to let them live transport them back to the beginning. They will not be able to enter for a whole week." I tell him.
Yumo nods before I teleported to the throne room, it was time to make the second Guardian.
At that moment I used my magic to pull out the magic cauldron, a woman with cat ears and a maid outfit entered carrying a tray.
I'm pretty certain I've never seen her before. Not just that, when did we hire servants?
"Demon Lordress, I came with your tea." the woman says curtsying and making her way up the steps to my throne.
I retrieved the drink and watched her walk right back out the throne room.

I'll just pretend that I didn't see anything.
Now, back to my task.
Let's see, I need a Guardian that will take care of the second floor. With Yumo's level being at 50, it would only make sense if the new Guardian's level is twice that.
Only an idiot with a level lower than 30 would enter this fortress.
Besides it should be fine for most who enter here. After entering through the plains and wastelands, all intruders should have leveled up to at least 20 t0 40 by the time they enter this fortress.
There may be even higher levels coming here as well, so I should prepare.
I put the next materials and watched the pot glow like last time. The effect was much stronger than before.
I'm looking forward to what's coming out of this new batch of materials.
I waited for the form to take shape.
"Ahhh!" The voice reminded me of a screeching.
A pale fairy with green scales lining up the sides of her arms and wrapping about her neck stood before me.
Her wings were a bit transparent and her short bob-cut hair was also green, matching her scales. Though her eyes were a crystal blue, almost see through like glass.
That was not all there was to her, using appraisal I noticed her stats were pretty impressive.
Race: Fairy Level: 130
Stats-
HP: 600/ 600 MP: 1010/1010 SP: 600/600
Abilities-
Wind Magic-
Wind Blade: Can shoot blades using wind magic,
Wind Turnado: Can summon a big enough whirlwind to sweep away her enemies.
Water Magic-
Water Shield: Can block attacks using a fast current water shield.
Water creation: Can use water to form anything to destroy her enemies.
I can agree that I'm quite satisfied with these abilities for one. And her Magic Power was what really makes her shine.
"I think I'll name you Pine." I say holding my hand out to her.
She grabs it and falls to one knee before me, "My demon Lordress, my creator. I will happily serve you for all my life." She says.
"I do hope so Pine. I will have you guard the second floor, if you wish to know anything, please ask the Guardian Yumo on the first floor." I tell her.

"Yes, My Demon lordress." She says standing and using wind magic to disappear from my sight.
Now next up is making the third Guardian. I'm actually on a roll and wish to see what kind of Guardian will appear after.
I moved on to the next materials and tossed them into the magic cauldron.
The next Guardian that appeared were twins.
They had the appearance of children, but their race were not normal.
Out of the twin Guardians on the left was an all yellow female Selkie that I named Tésh.
Race: Selkie Level: 190
Stats-
HP: 950/950 MP: 1090/1090 SP: 920/920
Abilities-
Seal Formation: Ability to transform into a half seal, lower body is seal while uper body is human.
Selkie Seduction: Has a beautiful and alluring voice, can seduce any creature or human below 150
and control them until the spell is broken.
And then there's the orange twin male Selkie which I named Enrus.
Race: Selkie Level: 200
Stats-
HP: 1000/1000 MP: 1130/1130 SP: 750/750
Abilities-
Seal Formation: Ability to transform into a half seal, lower body of a human, upper body of a seal.
Selkie Mind Control: Ability to control creatures and humans with levels below 190 until spell is broken.
"How lucky, this is the first time I meet such beautiful creatures. Please do well and guard the third floor, my guardians."
Once they were gone I worked on the last guardian for the night. The last guardian was a giant spider with posionous like spikes. I ended up naming it Xivir.
I think it was a male so it's befitting for the charming cpider.
"Thank you my master." It said before crawling out the door.
those stats were great for the fourth floor Guardian. If it evolves than it would be quite the threat for enemies.
Race: Spider Demon Level: 360
Stats-
HP:3250/3250 MP: 530/530 SP: 2340/2340
Abilities-
Cacoon: Can weave prey into cacoons and then plants baby spiders to feast on the flesh.
Acid Web Trap: Can weave acid webs that sinks into the flesh of it's enemies.
Prosionous Grip: It can catch prey with it's poisonous fangs, causes a huge damage . Can be cured using a potion in the fortress.
Now this one I'm sure will be hard to defeat. And not only that all my guardians will be able to evolve depending on the amount of lives they take.
I leaned back in my throne, it was only a matter of time, all preparations were almost finished.
In order for humans to learn of my fortress I must first bring in the first round of guinea pigs to feel out my domain. I'll be sure that at least one will be able to make it out of here alive. This way they could spread word of my fortess.
"Mistress, will you be resting to build up your mana?" Hina entered carrying the human child.
"I will, is there something you need?" I asked.
Hina sat the child down on his two feet, "go on." Hina urged the boy.
At first he stared down at his feet and his big doe-like eyes glanced up at me. I noticed him fiddling with his thumbs, "speak child." I ordered.
Why did Hina bring this child to see me?
"Um...Mi..mi..mistress. My name is Fu, I would like to thank the demon lordress for saving me." The boy says falling to his knees and then bowing his head to the floor.
How smart. For a six year old to be this intelligent and mature. Not only that he has a cute appearance.
"I see you show gratitude well. Very well, I shall grant this boy a gift." I say.
I reached out and casted a magic spell that would grant this intelligent child the gift of divination.
This would be a great gift that I myself could not use.
"As long as you stay loyal to me, you will be well taken care of." I tell Fu.
This time both Hina and Fu bowed before leaving me alone once more.
It's going to be livelier tomorrow with lots more of my underlings roaming around the fortress.

"I don't know who you think you are coming here, and acting like you don't care about anything. Now listen here Princess, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Here's a couple of rules that I'd like to enlighten upon you. Number one, you do not talk back to me. And two, you don't mess with me or the rules," his breath fans my face and I close my eyes. The proximity between us was terrifying. "I've dealt with many bitches like you, so I suggest that you follow those rules unless you want to end up like them," - he leans in. His mouth lingers near my ear, "used."... "... You might think that you run this place, but you do not run me. Understand? And the sooner you understand that, the better it'll be for the both of us," I warn staring right into his eyes before walking away. I was more than amused by his dumbfounded expression. I stop, and turn back around, facing him, "And one piece of advice, know what you're fishing for before you start fishing.
