《Undiminished》The wonderful world of imagination and painful reality

I admit it took me way too long to get over my new puppy pal sleeping in front of me who was the unexpected means of my many deaths. Can you really blame me though? I mean, it's a lot to take in all once. Also, I'm tired of addressing this puppy as puppy, so it's beyond time I check its gender and give it a name. I'm also curious as to what breed my new little pal is, but ultimately it isn't really that important to answer that question. Turns out the puppy was male, so I hereby name this animal Dudley for no other reason than it reminds me of one of my dogs from my old life. Now with that taken care of, I can finally focus more on my surroundings. So back to the red sun up in the sky instead of the nice yellow one I'm used to seeing. I am by no means an astronomer, but the sun becoming red means the temperature of it has gone down, so it's either that or I'm no longer on Earth. I can rule out not being on Earth if I can trust what the boss asshat was saying to be the truth. I know I'm stuck in this position because I'm supposed to be training for some kind of apocalypse. Add in the fact the sun turned red and I have a pretty good guess as to what caused at least some of whatever the hell is going on. Again, I'm not an Astronomer, so I have absolutely no clue as to how the sun became colder, nor do I know if it’s even possible to determine the problem when looking at it from a human standpoint, so no guess from me as to what happened to it. With the sun being a different color, it, of course, affected how we see the color of Earth's sky. Normally when one looks upon the sky, we see a nice bright blue color in the afternoon, with our sunsets and sunrise being a mix of red, orange, and some other colors. With the red sun, the sky was no longer blue, and instead a much redder and darker thing to look at. I honestly have no idea the time of day because everything looks strange and unfamiliar, but if I had to guess I would say it is late afternoon. Oh yay. Getting a late start on the day is just what I needed after spending a crapload of time being dead. I should also go ahead and mention it was colder outside than any winter I have ever had the misfortune to live through. I mean, it makes sense if you think about it seeing as a red star is colder than a yellow one. Well, as weird as the sky is now, and the fact the climate is thoroughly screwed, it's time to try and find a good vantage point. It makes sense that finding such a place shouldn't be all that hard seeing as I started out on a cliffside.
