《Fate - Destiny》Chapter XIX: Farewell...

Inzary cannot believe what he just saw. His own son - Kisei - turned his back on his father. It was something Inzary cannot believe. How could his own son - the very child whom he raised and loved from the bottom of his heart - oppose him? Not even Caeruleus can have the answer.
Disheartened, Inzary's will to fight immediately vanished. The only fire from his heart that kept him fighting for what he thinks is the only way to make things right for him was immediately extinguished. The insane, maniac Inzary everyone knew has calmed down.
"S-son, you don't get it, d-do you?" Inzary's voice is almost shaking from fear. The fear that his very own son will disown him from doing what he believes is right.
He slowly approached his son, but Kisei immediately shot an arrow the instant Inzary took a step.
"Ah... y-yes, I know... y-you're afraid, right...?" Inzary asked. Tears slowly fell from his eyes, "I... I will explain everything, son. Did you already forget...?"
The fire from Inzary's forearms gradually extinguished, but even that isn't enough to convince Kisei to let him explain what he is doing. Kisei shot another arrow and it hit Inzary's legs, making him almost crippled.
Caeruleus took the chance and stood up. The armor he is wearing is degraded due to receiving Inzary's attacks. It is beyond saving; Caeruleus had no choice but to discard his armor.
"Inzary, can you not see it?" says Caeruleus. "Kisei cannot speak properly, but he is telling you right now... stop this. Stop what you are doing."
"N-no..." Inzary replied. "N-no!! No, I will not. Not until I decimate my enemies with my own two hands! Every single one of them!"
"Dad... s-stop," Kisei intervened. "You... not bad. You... don't kill."
"Y-you don't get it, Kisei. You see... I am not killing enemies, you- you misunderstood it. I-I am just doing us a favor, son..."
"Inzary, just... just stop already, please? This is enough. This is enough, Inzary. Think about your son. Think about what will be the consequences not just for you, but for your son also. You have done enough damage... go home with your son, please?"
"Hah hah... Hah hah hah! HAH HAH HAH HAH!" Inzary laughed hysterically, "Do you think that is enough reason for me to stop, Caeruleus?! Did you really think that will work? Oh, I know! Your brain is malfunctioning already. You don't know what my intentions are, Caeruleus. You don't know!"
The fire from Inzary's forearms grew once again and attacked Caeruleus.
Caeruleus attempted to block it using his broadsword, but Inzary's attack is so devastating that his sword cracked. The attack is strong enough for Caeruleus' sword to be cut in half.
Inzary is about to deliver another blow. There's nothing that could possibly stop him now. But to no avail.
Kisei shot an arrow and hit Inzary's arm. The moment the arrow made a contact with Inzary, it suddenly exploded. The explosion is violent enough to blast Inzary away.
Desperate for his son's safety, Inzary attacked Kisei. A burst of flame came flying at Kisei, but he was tactical. Using his sword, he deflected it in a direction away from them.
It seems that Kisei made his father distracted. Using a magic spell, Caeruleus repaired his sword. The other half of his sword has attached to what he is currently holding. He also chanted another spell that temporarily made his weapon sturdy enough to withstand any kind of force.
"I cannot believe you, Inzary," Caeruleus muttered. "You even attacked your own son just for your own ego?"

Meanwhile, Kisei and Inzary fought. Although blind, he fought with ease. It was as if Kisei isn't blind at all.
As Kisei fought his father seriously, Inzary did the opposite. Worried for his son's safety, he held back his strength while fighting. Even the most wicked person will hold back fighting their own child.
"K-Kisei, u-uh... you really don't understand everything!" Inzary is stuttering, "You see... I am- I am doing this for the sake of our family. F-for us! For your own safety and our freedom!"
Kisei ignored what Inzary said. As if he did not hear his father at all. Judging by his actions, one could easily tell he wants his father to stop what he's about to do.
He continued shooting Inzary arrows. Kisei is doing the impossible. He shot his arrows without missing one. Even if it was missed, it was due to Inzary teleporting.
"Just one more second... just one more second..." Caeruleus whispered. It seems that he is planning something. He is waiting for the right opportunity to do it.
Inzary stopped using magic and decided to have close combat with Kisei. Blow by blow, strike by strike, Kisei deflected Inzary's attacks without bearing even a drop of sweat. Using his double-bladed sword - the same weapon that also functioned as a bow, he slashed and attacked his father.
Inzary let his son hit him, afraid of hurting his son once he blocked one of his attacks. As such, he continuously healed himself. Every wound, every scratch, and every scar closed themselves within a matter of a second.
"Kisei!" Caeruleus shouted. "You are doing a great job! Let your father realize everything."
"S-shut up! Our fight is none of your business, Caeruleus!" Inzary intervened.
"Really, Inzary?" Caeruleus boasted. "I do apologize, but I am afraid I have to intervene. This is our fight, and I should be the one who should finish it."
Infuriated, Inzary shouted. "I am doing everything, and none of you both will stop me from doing so!"
"Kisei, I want you to continue distracting Inzary. I should be ready once I called your attention once again."
As a response, Kisei nodded. He did as Caeruleus said, he fought his father, and there's nothing that could stop him now.
Over time, Inzary got injuries that became serious over time. He is continuously healing himself, although the efficiency of his healing degraded over time.
The wounds he got from Kisei's sword got deeper and deeper. He continued to bleed and it made him weaker, but he persisted. He doesn't want to hurt his son, and he never wanted to do it. Doing so will give him a pang of guilt so heavy he would question his existence in this world.
Kisei was aware of Inzary's bleeding, but that did not stop him. His attacks were fast. So fast that his father couldn't keep up with him anymore.
Inzary tried to run away and attempted to go for Caeruleus. But again, to no avail. Kisei aimed at his father and shot him with another arrow. The instant the arrow hit his father, Inzary was immediately sent back in front of him.
"This is it! I've had enough!"
At this point, Inzary went berserk. He had no sense of sanity at all. His eyes were flaring and blazing. Without any doubt about doing it, Inzary immediately punched Kisei's face. Anyone who will receive it will surely have their skull shattered into pieces. But Kisei was different.
Kisei was knocked back, but he continued fighting. As if his father's blow did not have any effect on him at all. He stood his ground and threw his double-bladed sword at Inzary.

As the sword is making its way to Inzary, it spun. Over time, it became faster.
Inzary tried to avoid it, but the sword followed him. He avoided it once again, but the sword kept following him.
Inzary shouted. He growled so loud that it could permanently take away someone's sense of hearing. He kept growling and he blew a flame from his mouth, hoping that the sword will melt from the heat.
The effort made by Inzary appears successful. The sword kept whirling and followed Inzary but over time it slowly melts.
Kisei noticed it immediately and made his way to the sword. He attempted to use a spell that could protect the sword, but Inzary overwhelmed him. The ground Kisei is standing on shook and slowly rose. It made Kisei out of balance.
He fell on his stomach, but Inzary appears to be merciless at this point. A portion of the ground Kisei was standing on rose and hit Kisei's head. It was enough to blast him away.
Inzary stopped blowing fire and it seems that the sword has already melted away. He took a deep breath and growled once again.
"You will pay!" Inzary shouted, his voice almost distorted. He then turned his head to Caeruleus, "You will perish from this world along with everyone else! You cannot stop me!!"
Inzary instantly leaped towards Caeruleus. Inzary was fast that he was gone off Caeruleus' sight before he could even react.
"I have been waiting to use this with you, Inzary," Caeruleus mumbled. He then shouted out loud, "Thank you, Kisei! Your job here is done. As for your father, I will take care of him now."
"Shut up!!" Inzary exclaimed. "You will not defeat me! I am already three steps ahead of you. No one will stop me. Not even you!"
"You are right, Inzary... I cannot stop you..."
Before Caeruleus get to finish what he will say, the time around him eventually stopped.
His surroundings appeared monochromatic. The leaves falling onto the ground stopped mid-air; that includes Inzary as well. Everything was stopped in time, except Caeruleus. He manipulated time, but he should be quick as it drains his magic surprisingly fast.
Caeruleus generated a small portal enough for his arms to fit in. There, he pulled out a sword. It was the same, exact weapon he used.
"Exorkismos flogas," Caeruleus chanted.
Right after he finished the chant, a red, hot flame engulfed both of his swords. It was as if the flames possessed the sword itself.
"Now, let me finish what I should've said earlier," Caeruleus said. "You are right, Inzary. I cannot stop you from your plans..." he then took a deep breath.
"... but I can make your plans fail!"
The time returned, and Inzary made his way to Caeruleus.
"N-no. Impossible!" Inzary denied. "I already broke your sword, and now you have two of them?!"
"Surprising, isn't it?" Caeruleus boasted. "Kisei did a good job distracting you. You healed yourself constantly earlier, and you haven't noticed one thing."
"N-no! This is impossible! This cannot be happening!!"
"Oh yes, it is, Inzary. It is indeed happening right in front of your eyes. Kisei drained your magic to half, and now you are limited to what magics you will use against me."
He delivered a fatal blow towards Caeruleus, but it was futile. Caeruleus blocked the attack, and now that he has two swords, it will be easier for him to block Inzary's attacks.
Infuriated, Inzary summoned thunderbolts that rained down to Caeruleus. Every single bolt redirected towards Caeruleus. Any unlucky person who receives it will not make it out alive, but Caeruleus pulled out a trick up his sleeves.
"Hah hah! I surprised you once again!" Inzary bragged once again. "Now that my swords are possessed by flames, my swords will immediately absorb any kind of heat. Fortunately, lightning bolts are one of them."
"N-no! Your magical skills are not fit for such kinds of spells!" Inzary once again denied. "This is not possible! I refuse to believe it!!"
Caeruleus dashed towards Inzary, "Oh, Inzary. You don't know what things are possible for me to do!"
Caeruleus attacked Inzary using both of his swords. He slashed Inzary with all of his might.
Desperate, Inzary generated a force field around him out of thin air. He made sure that he generated the strongest force field possible. The kind where it is technically impossible to penetrate.
"Oh-oh!" Caeruleus sarcastically said. "Bad move you did right there, Inzary!"
Both of Caeruleus' swords penetrated through the force field as opposed to what Inzary said. The force field exploded and released a shock wave that both knocked them away.
"What can you do now, Inzary?" Caeruleus asked. "I could already feel your desperation to defeat me. Why is that?"
Pissed off by what Caeruleus told him, Inzary rushed for him. At this point, Inzary doesn't care about strategies and tactics to end Caeruleus' life and decided to take on him recklessly.
As he rushed towards him, Inzary gaped his mouth widely and he released some sort of pure energy. Caeruleus doesn't know what kind of energy it is, but he felt that the attack could be deadly.
As such, Caeruleus dodged it. His swords are possessed by the spirit of flames, but he cannot let his pair of swords absorb them as he realized that the absorption has a limit. He assumed that the energy released by Inzary could be too much.
Inzary grew insane already and still growing insane. At that moment, Inzary is no more. He no longer stood on his own two feet and instead stood on four. He is just his former self. A shell of what he used to be. He has become the monster inside him. He just growled and did not utter even a single word. The growl sounds like out of this world.
Inzary had already grown claws on his hands. His hands were also set in flames. He was like a huge, wild feline running amok. He no longer controls himself.
Scratch by scratch, cut by cut, Inzary blocked Inzary's claws using his swords. He tries to find an opening for him to attack, but Inzary is too fast. Caeruleus can barely cope with him.
Inzary suddenly pounced as he roared and snarled. That was the moment Inzary found an opening.
"It hurts me to do this, Inzary" Caeruleus regrets, "but this is the only way to stop you..."
Caeruleus went for Inzary's stomach as Inzary pounced. Regretting what he's about to do, he still decided to slash Inzary.
Inzary groaned in pain, screaming in extreme agony, but he still wanted to fight. Although he's visibly weakening gradually, he still fought Inzary out of his ego.
"Is this what you really wanted, Inzary...?" Caeruleus asked as he slashed Inzary once again.
"Look what you have become..." he wounded Inzary for another time.
"It hurts me to do this, and it will haunt me forever. But... but this is the only way to stop you from your selfish, egoistic schemes."
A slash by a slash, Inzary screamed loudly, grunting from the agonizing wounds he's continuously receiving fatal wounds.
Disheartened for his former friend, tears fell from Caeruleus' eyes. The screams Inzary is making made him too weak to fight, but he has to be tough this time.
"I... I don't want to fight you now," Caeruleus mutters. "I know I should be on your side, but... but there are so many factors to consider on your plans..."
Ignored, Inzary continued to pounce. Caeruleus' will have become too weak already to fight Inzary. All he did at that point was to dodge Inzary.
Due to the amount of blood Inzary has lost, he has turned pale. He tried to stand on all fours, but his limbs are already shaking. Despite all those, he still wanted to fight, knowing that he can fight no more.
Caeruleus kneeled and faced Inzary, "Stop already, please...?" Tears overflowed his eyes, "It's alright now... you don't have to do this. You have done enough damage... give up your ego and think about yourself and your son..."
"N-no..." Inzary still managed to speak. His voice was almost gurgling, "I-I will n-not... g-give up... u-un-until I... until I d-decimate them a-all!!"
Inzary leaped as high as he could and decided to end everything. He decided to attack Caeruleus.
"If I am going to die now, then I will take you with me!!" Out of his desperation, Inzary shouted at top of his lungs as his last cry of attack.
Tears overflow Caeruleus' eyes once again, hesitating what he's about to do, but he already feels that he has really no choice.
He leaped up in the air and went for Inzary. As he's approaching his former friend, he pointed his sword toward Inzary's chest.
"I am sorry... I don't want to do this, but... but this is the least I could do for everyone. Farewell, Inzary... I do hope you forgive me..."
