《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 29

"So why isn’t he giving me my son back?" said the old man, "Have you any answer?"
"He is now in Philippines. He had told Mr. Norton to inform this to you. It's not our issue that he betrayed you and settled there with no contact."
"It's not true, your honor."
"Then can we contact Jr. Walker right now…in the court? I expect you may have his number."
"HE HAD RESIGNED IN JUNE."
"What are you saying?" Colonel Norton snapped at the lawyer.
"No." continued Norton.
What is he doing? The angry lawyer wanted to say, I am defending you and what do you think you are doing by interrupting me?
Judge hammered again, "The sequences lead to a conclusion. Walker was hidden till yet and why would someone keep hiding a person who has done a good work. He is hidden because he is the one who killed Haq…"
Old man was stiff.
"…and for that, you needed a second person who could control all these without any suspect on you. So you selected a person-Bob."
"But my lord-"
"It is also possible as per the proofs available that you made this entire plan but because of Lorgé's case on Haq, your name came in the case form Afghan embassy."
Mr. Hadfield was still smiling, but Camshron felt like crying.
"It was you who chose poor ill Mike to finish Lorgé because it was a danger for you and for this matter, you hired Mike."
"No, your honor. It's not the truth." said the lawyer.
"So what's the truth? Do you have any suspect who can kill Haq for any reason…except Mr. Lorgé…"
"It's Lorgé then. He made Mike get in all this, he was the one who had freed him and made this dramatic situation-"
"But Mike says he had been handled termination order from Bob. Don’t tell lies in court."
"I'm telling the truth and my client is innocent as well."

"An unbiased truth. It's Colonel Norton who played with Mike's ill mind and you wanted him to die few days later whereas Mike being caught was also a safe solution for you. For this termination, you were the one who made Bob choose Walker."
"No sir. THIS IS ALSO FALSE! He is in Philippines right now."
Judge ignored pleading lawyer, "This is all a fact. We have got informed from MPD that US Navy also has this hologram technology."
"It was stolen about three months ago." made the lawyer a very sharp logic for his client.
Camshron got shocked. He almost jumped off. Everyone's eyes were right on him. The angriest man was behind him.
"How can you submit wrong information here? Here?" Mr. Fernsby gritted his teeth.
Camshron was busy in ignoring him as well as Mr. Meredink.
Lawyer was again on his words, "Yes, my lord, stolen. What it really was. The only available prototype was not there."
"Then why isn’t this information submitted by the Navy? Why is it still kept confidential?" Judge again backfiring words at him, "This shows Mr. Norton might be the possible culprit. If he isn’t too, then why did he hide this information? This is the only available prototype in whole USA."
Lawyer wasn’t expecting this at all.
"Mr. Norton, tell me, why did you give the device to Bob?"
"I haven’t." pleaded Mr. Norton who was in ultimate fear, whose legs were no more in stable position to handle his body weight.
"Who is Bob?"
"How would I know Bob? I haven’t even heard about him."
"Sorry, Mr. Norton." said the hopeless lawyer.
Judge had a short chat with the jury and asked, "Do you have anything to say for defending yourself Mr. Norton?"
"I'm innocent. It's my fault that the prototype was missing and missing prototype cost me this much." Norton said and revealed what he had been told in London by the director of Scotland Yard.

"Camshron!" everyone was angry was with him as well as depressed.
Judge asked, "Is anyone present here to act as a witness?"
"It's Hadfield. Right there." he exclaimed as his finger got settled on Mr. Hadfield just aside Camshron's position.
Hadfield soon emerged in the witness box and told, "He told me as well as Mr. Morris. This all was meant to be a secret for him so we didn’t reveal that matter…"
We!
"…I don’t want to be in Mr. Norton's personal issues, so we stayed quiet. I didn’t know this all was going to be such risky."
"Did he tell you anymore?"
Mr. Hadfield was relaxed, "No, not about this but he told me about the conference on 4th July."
"Told you what Mr. Hadfield?" asked the angry lawyer.
"Told me it would have been a better option in he wasn’t involved in the conference security management."
Norton interrupted, "Let me clarify about that. I had registered the name of Walker on the security list but he did not come there that day. I knew something must be wrong with him so I tried to cancel his name, not on the issue of Haq, but on the issue of the conference. Absence of a cop meant a lot of embarrassment for me in front of everyone at the conference. I didn’t know a simple lie was enough to take me here."
"Why did you list Walker although he was in Philippines?" the judge made a turning point.
"Well, it was a procedural error in Navy. I wanted to list a lower ranked agent, but I listed someone else by mistake and it happened to be his name."
"Are you sure you are not lying?" judge had to say.
"No he is not lying." the lawyer said, "Can he do anything right now except telling the truth?"
Silence was in the great hall as a result.
"This is a childish mistake with a miserable outcome. I may regard this as a fictional work. How can this mistake lead to this much serious problem?"
Now the case was going in favor of Norton. Still Camshron seemed disturbed.
"Your honor, this all is a part of someone's conspiracy."
Judge looked at the jury with dilemma because Norton has logic but not any proof enough to make him show faith in his statement. But the judge could never stop, "I am not here to impose my personal opinions on a judiciary paper."
For the first time he had spoken his heart out, "…but personal claims can never change the rule as well as can't turn words into proofs but I can take this as proof for your innocence."
No way.
There was no proof at all.
It was apparent someone had planned all this matter at least thousand times before executing. If Norton was never the culprit, then it was also possible the killer was working on Plan A as well as Plan B at the same time.
Only if he was not a killer.
A long, stressful time period of two minutes passed and the judge's private gossips with the jury came to an end.
Was there still a way for Norton?
"As per the evidences submitted to the Supreme Court by CIA and MPD," judge continued, "And by the analysis of Mr. Norton's logics we regard evidences the universal truth. Hence Mr. Norton has nothing to defend him so I adjourn the court for a week. Next hearing shall take place next week and if there is anything to defend yourself, you can present it. At the next date, we will have to take this matter much more seriousness."
The lawyer knew what the judge meant to say. The result could come as anything-even capital punishment. Norton's post could never save him from this thing to happen. But what if he was not the killer?
"Court is adjourned." hammered the judge due to enough defending logics by Norton but lack of proofs.

Souls of Savagery
Souls of Savagery is a series of short stories intended to function much like a comic book series. However, to experience the complete story in a logical order you should read the volumes in numerical order, starting of course, with Volume 1: A Bloodbath by Any Other Name. Each volume is told from a single point of view and that will change from volume to volume. Though, the narrative will require later volumes to return to characters that have been featured previously. I hope you enjoy.

The Pet Dragon
Reborn as a dragon and stumbling through the world the MC feels rather disadvantaged. This story is a writing challenge for myself for fun and I'll start with one chapter every day though they might not be particularly long. I did not plan anything out but I have ideas. Freeform was supposed to be this but my ideas were too complicated and I couldn't keep myself from overthinking it. Well, that failed. I will resume this story at a later date.

The Hand of Sigmar. A Warhammer Fiction.
Adebar von Bolstedt was a normal young Aristocrat once. Third son of the middling von Bolstedt line of Altdorf, capital of the prestigious Empire at the heart of the Old World, but when a quarrel with his brother escalates he decides to leave his pampered home, and soon finds himself stranded in the countryside. When confronted about his presence he claims to be led by the God-King Sigmar, but with the name of the Protector of Mankind come his responsiblities. Soon Adebar finds himself tasked with ridding a town of a mad killer, and settling some lethal family quarrels.Word from the AuthorGreetings! The Hand of Sigmar plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This work will be shorter overall, partly because its born out of a sudden passion, partly because I thought I'd try my hand at a more comfortable story than the grim darkness of the 41st Millenium (psychotic murderer and fraudulent holyman included). Depending on how this does and my time allows more adventures may be coming. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.
