《The Stupid God who tries to get better》Chapter 11- Responsibilities of a God

“WAIT!”
A person stood while pointing his finger towards me. Everything became silent again.
He had long hair and red eyes. His body was well built and he had an imposing aura. He was wearing dark clothes and his shirt was sleeveless.
“Why do we even have to help you?! Do you even realise how many of us died because of you?!”
The people sitting around him started looking worried for him.
“Marcus…. Just sit down.” A guy with green eyes and with a sword tied towards his back tried to convince Marcus to stop shouting.
“No! I won't! So many of our brothers… so many of our friends…. So many…. So many of them! Even Jessica! She died because of them! Every time those so called Gods mess up, why do we have to clean up behind them?! Those hypocrites!”
His face was distorted and his voice was full of emotion. Although everyone wanted him to sit down, none of them looked dissatisfied with what he was speaking. All of them even looked like they agreed with him.
“Marcus don't cause a ruckus, we got into a lot of trouble last time because of you! Just shut up and sit down.”
This time a girl with glasses spoke up and told him to sit down. She looked strict and boy did her voice sound authoritative. She was wearing a black training dress without and armour. The dress she wore looked loose but it did not hide her impressive figure.
The guy called Marcus looked like he remembered something and became hesitant whether to speak more or not. The whole room had become tense and you could hear a pin drop. This time even the animals and insects weren't making any noises.
The girl got up and walked towards him.she whispered something into his ear before walking back to her seat and sitting down. Marcus finally stabilized his emotions this time and decided to sit even though he looked unwilling.
He was still clenching his fists and looking at me with hatred and the other demigods weren't an exception. As for the meek ones they just looked away.
The dining hall was in silence again. Some were looking at me with hatred others were scared to look at me probably because they thought I had powers before. Some were just doing their own thing lost in their own world and some were looking on the show with interest and mischief.
Every demigod was doing something or the other, but one thing was for sure- all of them were saying - ‘ You won't get help from us!’
Me? I was standing there all alone on stage while being blamed for something I didn't do. Yes, I was a reason why the war happened but it was not the whole story. My whole back was wet with sweat and I was feeling worse and worse by the second.
I looked towards my back where Brook had gone and seated himself after speaking. There was a slight smile on his face. He was expecting it! He knew the demigods would break out! Fuck! I lost all hope of asking help from him. He fucking set it up. Fuck, I ain't God in just name you fucker! I'll show you!

I brought the mic close to my mouth again- “so basically what you are saying is that Gods are not responsible?”
As soon as I said that it seemed like the atmosphere had gotten more tensed. It was like they wanted to shout- 'Yes! That's what we want to say.’
“ Do you know the amount of work gods do everyday? We have to maintain the whole universe and the whole planet just so it could work properly. Did you know that if a major god leaves his work for just a second, half the population of humans and every other living thing on this planet would die?”
The atmosphere got a little less tense when I said that but it didn't change the overall situation.
“Right now I am not working so other gods take up my workload. If it was just left alone this planet wouldn't even exist. Let me give you an example- I am god of light and the sun gives you light. If my work isn't done properly, the god of clouds and the god of darkness would destroy the natural energy balance and there would be no light. People would not be able to work properly and it would cause Mooyoon to freeze and enter ice age. I don't think you demigods can survive in total ice and darkness even though you have strong bodies?”
This time some people were convinced but it still didn't change the overall situation.
I was glad that they at least the terrible atmosphere had gone down a notch, just what I need to drop a bomb-
“ I'll give you a day. I want to show you that Gods are responsible. Tell me something you want me to do, so I can prove that Gods are responsible. The problem with the dragon was because of a mistake that should have never happened. If I do what you will tell me to do, you have to help me in my mission and if I don't do it I will grant you one wish after I regain my powers.”
As soon as I said that the whole dining hall burst into noise. I just threw the mic into Brooks lap before walking away. My whole head was a mess right now. I had been a god for almost three hundred years so I knew how to act a little I guess.
I walked and walked till I reached the room I used to stay in at the medical facility. I opened the door of the room and slammed it shut. I walked to my bed in this all wood room and sat down.
Hoooo- I let out a breath of relief after I settled down. It was tough being on the defensive side. I looked at the wall in which there was a big red button. I pressed it and lied on the bed.
Tung- the door opened and Bruce walked in.
“Hello, sir. You did a great job! Those kids lost a lot of their friends and family, you can't really blame them. Please don't take it seriously sir....”

“It's fine I know.” Yeah, I know, because I saw how they were killed. I saw when they were killed and I couldn't help so I didn't help. And I felt really bad when I didn’t.
They were killed by arrows, being stabbed in the stomach, heart, head, throat, being burned excetra excetra.
It was literally hell trying to fight that dragon. I know we would win the war eventually but we had so many losses that it didn't even seem like a win, moreover that evil dragon is immortal so it didn’t even die. It'll probably take another millennium or two for him to wake up again. The battle ground looked like a scene from hell. Monster carcasses and humanoid bodies everywhere. There were rivers of blood everywhere. My aunt illutionare even had trouble covering up the battle so it would seem like a meteor crash to humans.
While I was sitting wandering off to my own world, I didn't even realise Brook walking into the room.
“Hey-” he waved his hand in front of my face and I finally snapped back into reality.
“What were you thinking about?” He asked.
“Nothing… but you knew it would happen didn't you?” Of course I was talking about the ruckus caused by the demigods.
“What? What are you talking about.” He just decided to play dumb.
“Fine play dumb.” I was angry but I can't do anything so I'll just let it go.
“That was a good job there but there was a flaw.”
“Flaw? What are you talking about.”
“I am talking about the time you said you would do anything to prove that Gods are responsible. Anything? They might ask you to walk naked.”
“What?! I never thought about that! Do you really think they would ask for something so impractical?”
Brook paused for a while- “No….”
Before I could relax he throwed in another bomb.
“They could do something more worse than that. Walking naked is the easy part. You don't even have your powers.”
My whole mind collapsed. Why did I say something so stupid!! Fuck!
“Fuck it all let's just go to bed!” I put my head on the wooden pillow and wrapped my body with a rough yet comfortable blanket.
Next morning-
Chirp~ chirp~
My head hurts and my body feels weak…..
“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!”
I wasn't able to sleep!! Fuck! How can I the great god Benza be afraid of a stupid challenge!
“I am the great god Benza. I am the great god Benza. I am the great god Benza. I am the great god Benza.”
My secret mantra for a stable mind!
“That's one embarrassing thing to do….”
“Waaah! When did you enter?!”
“While you were absorbed in doing strange things.” Brook had entered while I wasn't paying attention.
“It isn't something strange, it calms your minds. You should try!”
“I am the great headmaster Brook. I am the -”
“No No No!! You should say 'i love great god Benza'.”
“ummm thanks but I don't think I should.”
“Just try!”
Brook looked a little troubled, just for a millisecond though. Emotion hiding monster.
“Oh yeah the kids decided what you had to do to prove you’re a so called ‘responsible God’.
“They did?! What did they say? Do I have to walk naked after all?”
“No you don’t, nobody would want to see that….. getting back on track, you need to find a new recruit and bring that she or he to the demigod’s paradise.”
“What I have to wear girl clothes?! Oh shit my brain is not working because of lack of sleep! Wait wait wait, that's …. It? I just have to get a demigod to demigods palace?”
“Yes~”
With both his hands behind his back and smiling in the sunshine with his purple eyes…. Brook looked a little ominous.
“Brook you shouldn't smile. You look ominous.”
“I do?”
I think his smile got wider. I felt even more ominous now.
Tung~ the door opened and Bruce walked in with some food in his hands.
The aroma from the food drifted into my nose and my mouth started secreting saliva. Grrrrr~
“The human’s way of showing hunger sure is convenient.”
Brook had already stopped smiling. He looked towards me before saying- “come to my office after you finish eating.”
“You dare tell me to come! You can just come to me!”
“No food for you if you don't come yourself.” He just left me with that and walked out of the room.
“Ugh! I don't think human hunger is a good thing. Why didn't I get a better body?” No wonder gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins.
I just ate my breakfast with tears in my eyes.
“How was the breakfast sir?”
“Oh! I fuwgut yow were hew Bwuce! It pwetty goow!” I replied while wolfing down my food.
“Ha... ha... ha…, I understand sir. Yes I understand.” He replied while giving a fake a laugh, I wonder why?
After finishing the food and rinsing my mouth afterwards which I had forgotten to do. Apparently something humans do everyday or their mouths get smelly. How troublesome! Humans are very inconvenient.
I walked out with Bruce and we both left off in different directions. I walked towards the office and watched the demigods walk past me. There were also some others- old men, women, some others and some monsters. All of them looked at me weirdly. For some reason I felt really bad right now. It must be my imagination.
I finally reached the office after sometime. I looked up and saw a board with 'HEADMASTER'S OFFICE’ engraved on it. I hadn't noticed it before but it looked imposing. I turned my head towards the entrance and walked in.

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
