In the middle of an endless white expanse, with the sudden appearance of a burst of blue light a man appeared with a look full of shock and disbelief while a cube also appeared besides him which appeared to slowly move away from him praying that he wouldn’t get noticed.
“COCO, WHAT THE FUCK!?” Zhang Fei made an enraged yell as he turned around to look at coco who jumped in fright at the sudden but expected shout. Coco slowly turned around and looked at Zhang Fei as he replied to him in a nervous tone.
[haha Host why are you so angry, did something happen?] that’s a rhetorical question, please don’t answer that.
“what happened? WHAT HAPPENED! I fucking died!”
[Well host that’s what humans are supposed to do, live and then die, it’s a natural process, that’s nothing to be upset and angry about, right?] right?
“I died from lightning, on a FUCKING SUNNY DAY!”
[….] hmm well……he does have a point.
Zhang fei sighed from the insta kill that the lightning did. After completing his mission he decided to stay in the world and continued writing novels and touring the world while making people’s lives miserable along the way. It was a real enjoyable tour of the world, well for him and maybe not for his victims, but the point was all of it came to an end because he died from lightning. Of all the possible ways he could have died, he died because of lightning and that too on a sunny day where there were no clouds for miles. Heck he was even in the midst of a book festival with thousands of people were gathered, but still the lightning fell only on him.* sigh* I didn’t even turn 30 and died, and worst of all I didn’t get the reviews for my new book (T-T).
Zhang Fei was really pissed, he was really enjoying his time but his random shitty luck had to go screw it all up, He first put up with all the accidents because he thought he was just unlucky and then also had the thought that probably the law of the world was making the accidents happen because he was acting against the leads, but maybe, maybe it wasn’t either just his random bad luck or the law of the world, it was probably msotly from the negative karma he had accumulated, it that was it then it would mean only one thing….

Zhang Fei turned his head and looked at Coco with a cold silent glare.
“Coco”
[….yes?]
“Did I die because you didn’t suppress the negative karma you talked about?”
[wha-what are you talking about host!? Ahahha of course not….]
Zhang Fei narrowed his eyes at coco suspiciously and Coco started sweating buckets of sweat, metaphorically of course…..
A little while later in the white expanse a man could be seen chasing a cube who seemed to be frantically trying to calm down the chasing man.
“Come here you little shit, I just want to have a little talk with you” Zhang Fei said in a cold voice with a small smile on his face, he appeared harmless but the only thoughts inside Coco’s mind were. Nope, nope, nope, nope……
A little while ago when Zhang Fei came to know that He died because of the effects of the negative karma which Coco was supposed to suppress, but failed to do so which resulted in him dying from lightning. In his fury he gave a slap to Coco who surprisingly started to spin about his place from the slap. Both Coco and Zhang Fei were surprised that he could interact with Coco, but that only lasted for a moment as Zhang Fei gave him a cold smile after looking at his hand that slapped Coco and at Coco while Coco gave a nervous laugh and started inching away from Zhang Fei. The result of which was a chase in the endless white expanse.
[ host calm down, calm down, I know I screwed up but at least I stopped the brunt of the negative effect till the mission was completed right and besides I said I would suppress it, not fully negate it, Come one host you have to understand, you karma is like an ocean which is being contained by a small door, of course some it is going spill through.] Coco was really crying tears of sorrow, since when was it a norm for a host to ruthlessly bully one’s system. He knew he screwed up by forgetting to remind Zhang Fei but that wasn’t the problem, the problem was that the host had a shit ton of negative karma, even if he wanted to he couldn’t fully suppress it. The only mistake that he made was forgetting to inform Zhang Fei. Although it was fun to watch the host suffer huehue.

“Well why didn’t you say anything to me before then?” Zhang Fei said as he continued chasing Coco and trying to shoot him with the pistol he brought from the previous world which he took out of his space, which coco surprisingly dodged every time. Zhang Fei knew It wouldn’t have mattered to him whether he knew or not because he wouldn’t have been able to do anything about it, but he still wanted to punish the cube about his forgetfulness which had caused Zhang Fei a lot of problems already using the screw up as an example.
[Because Host, that wouldn’t have changed anything and besides you were doing fine anyways.] Well the real reason was that Coco had forgotten to tell Zhang Fei but for the sake of a peaceful life he decided to not tell Zhang Fei about his screw up. And also he didn’t particularly enjoy getting shot by bullets.
Zhang Fei stopped chasing Coco and sighed. Well the cube was partially right it and he knew it himself, it wouldn’t have changed anything and the negative karma was the result of his own doing as well, but still what kind of system doesn’t inform things concerning its host and forgets things so easily. Hmph, probably a really shitty one. Zhang Fei thought as he condescendingly looked at Coco.
[Hey are you insulting me again human, I can see it in your eyes.]
“Of course I am, it wouldn’t be the case if there was anything remotely useful about you.”
[…………] touche human, touche.
Zhang Fei put the gun back in his space. “So what’s next?” Zhang fei sighed as he said this, what’s done was done and getting shot by bullets was probably enough of a punishment for the dumb cube……….…probably not. He was just thankful that he didn’t die before completing the mission or the only thing awaiting him would be a painful and torturous end. Zhang shivered when he remembered coco describing the result of failing a mission with detail, especially him failing a mission.
[Well there is the task of giving you your rewards from the previous mission, which you oh so graciously interrupted by trying to fill me with bullets holes, and after that we can go to the next world, oh right host you can choose to relax your soul and sleep a bit if you want to.]
Zhang fei looked around at the white emptiness and asked back, “Sleep where? On the floor?”
As a reply to Zhang Fei Coco conjured a huge bed which seemed really comfortable. Zhang Fei looked at the bed and then Coco with an arched brow.
[Think of it as a privilege of me being your system, and as an apology as well for my screw up. Enjoy your sleep.]
Zhang Fei just shook his head and sighed as he jumped at the huge bed deciding to sleep of the wariness of his soul.
