At the center of a the biggest park in S city there was a glimmering lake around which people were standing or strolling about and talking or having a picnic as the rays of the setting sun’s light was shining upon it. Among the people stood a really contrasting man. If someone looked at the man the only thing they would describe him would be as perfect and majestic. He had stellar looks with dark deep eyes and a slight smile that radiated kindness and would attract people towards the person. The man was tall and had long black hair stretching down his back. He had fine facial features with a well-defined jawline, straight nose and clear white skin. He looked truly spectacular and almost looked as if he didn’t belong to this world at all, it felt as if he was above them all. He was the subject of many hidden gazes, some of envy and some of praise, but the man chose to ignore them all, almost as if he was accustomed to it.

The man was standing against the railing at the boundary of the lake and looking at it as the light from the setting sun made it shimmer, it seemed he was waiting for someone. A lady came forward and stood a small distance away from the man, she was pushing a small child in a wheelchair. The woman didn’t notice the man as she spoke to the child, “Okay, just wait a bit and mommy will get you something to eat from the man over there okay?” The young girl who seemed to be only 7 nodded obediently as her mother left to buy her a hotdog from the a stall just a little distance away from them but it looked like it was crowded there.

The girl after her mother left curiously looked here and there and with excitement too, almost as if it was her first time seeing the outside world. She then looked at the man who was as still as a statue as the slight breeze slowly blew his long hair slightly. He looked like a beautiful painting given life. The girl had never see someone so different so she stared at him without hiding her gaze like the rest, maybe it was her innocence or her naivety, but it attracted the attention of the man. The man turned his head and looked at the small child, after looking at her dumb innocent look he gave her a kind smile. The girl who was staring at the man came into her sense and turned her gaze away as she became a little red from embarrassment from being caught peeking.

The man laughed at the innocent actions of the girl. The laugh was melodious and friendly which eased the tension from the little girls mind. “It’s okay child, you don’t have to be afraid, you weren’t doing anything wrong.” The man said with same kind smile that somehow looked even more kind after what he said. The child finally became easy and looked at the man again and gave him a smile in return as well. “Mister? Can I ask you a question?” The little girl asked the man. “Sure, feel free to ask anything, I know a lot of things you know.”

“Really? Then can you tell me how are you so tall and how do you have such long hair, wait another question as well, why are you wearing all black, and wait wait I have another question again, are you a foreigner, if yes which country are you from,……..?” It seemed that the little child was a bundle of questions as she let out questions like a machine gun as soon as she had the gotten the permission and the man continued to answer her questions with patience and a kind smile, although most of them were silly questions expected from a seven year old.

After the 79th question the man finally asked the girl a question in return, “Little child, I don’t think it is okay for you to be alone, where are your parents?”

“Oh well my mother is right there buying me food and my father….” The girl became silent as she started remembering her father.

“It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me.” The man said after seeing how the girl wasn’t speaking anymore.

“No, no, it’s not fair then, you answered my questions so it’s fair I answer yours.” The girl said with righteous attitude as she waved her tiny fist in the air. It was appreciated gesture although the man thought that 79 questions in exchange for 1 wasn’t fair at all, but oh well a child is a child after all. The girl continued with her story, “My father is gone overseas, you see this wheelchair I am in. Some time ago I was very sick and I couldn’t even move, my mother said that dad went to do a job so he could get money for my treatment, but one day my mother came in and started crying really hard and was hugging me with all her strength when I was in the hospital, you know I thought I would die from being hugged so tight. That night mom slept by my bed and was saying dad’s name in her sleep too. We waited but dad didn’t come, although one day a really nice man came and gave us a lot of money saying he was a friend of my dad, it was more than enough for my treatment and then after the treatment I was told to stay in the wheelchair for a while after which I could walk. This is the first time I was allowed to go outside. You know you remind me a lot of the nice man, he was good looking too, he was different from everyone else too.” The girl explained her story in clear words, it seemed the girl was more mature for kids of her age.

The man understood what happened. “I see, and did you love your father?”

“Yep, he was the best. He used to take me with him when he went to shooting ranges and he used a long big gun and he never missed, and he taught me all kinds of fun stuff about guns as well although he never let me touch one. He was the best.” The girl had a star-struck expression as she continued talking about her father who seemed to be in the weapons business. Well for any child a father would be their hero.

The girl saw that her mother was coming back and decided to end the conversation before she would get scolded for talking to a stranger. “Oh right, mister you didn’t tell me your name?”

“My name?”

“Yes, your name, don’t tell me you don’t have a name?” the little girl asked while raising her brows.

“It’s been a long time since someone asked my name…..” The man went silent for a while as he reminisced the past. The girl thought that he probably forgot his name and was remembering it so she was quiet as well.

“Azazil. My name is Azazil.”

“Azazil, that’s a funny name.” The little girl said with a laugh.

The man smiled again at the little girl’s innocence, if only she knew that it was a name of darkness, a name of destruction, a name of chaos and agony then she wouldn’t think it was a funny name. Children truly are innocent.

“I suppose it is. In a way.” The man named azazil said with a smile that was very unlike the previous kind smile plastered on his face although the little girl failed to notice it.

“Ok bye Mr. Azazil mom is coming, she doesn’t like me talking to strangers.”

“She is right, you know.” Azazil stopped smiling and said in a serious tone.

“haha I know.” The child laughed mishciviously and waved her hand as her mother came and took her away.

The man looked at the departing duo’s direction with a smile as they disappeared from there. A dark figure emerged from a distance and made his way towards Azazil. The other figure was exceptionally pale and had lips like a dead person, it seemed he was the same person who was fighting with a host some time ago in another continent.

“Cain, you look like you had a tough time, did something happen?” The man named Cain who seemed a little roughed up gave his master a greeting.

“Greetings master, yes something did happen. ‘They’ are catching up to us, I dispatched a dozen of the normal ones after a long fight some days ago but I believe that a few dozen more are coming from the elite branch. They know you are in this world, master I believe it’s time we left, There was only a single high level host in this world, we got what we needed from him, the rest were low leveled small fries so I didn’t bother with them. We should go before the ‘They’ arrive.” The man named Cain said in a respectful way and gave him the relevant information without making wasting his master’s time.

“ It’s okay, you can go and inform the rest to continue with the work, we are killing their hosts so it’s natural that they would send people after us, but I have to give them a message that we are not to be taken lightly. You go, it’s been some time since I had a good fight, I hope they live up to my expectations.” The man said as he continued looking at the lake.

“Master if you have a fight with them here, I don’t think the people of this city will survive the clash between you and them.” The man named Cain said with a little concern, it seemed he did not like killing and wasting lives wantonly.

“Then they won’t. It doesn’t matter whether they die or live. In these worlds, they are equivalent to just ants anyways. ” The man said in a cold voice with the same kind smile. Cain nodded with obedience and turned around to depart after trying to change his master’s mind, if his master said that they would die then die they would, he felt bad for them but his master’s decision mattered more. Cain disappeared in flash as he moved away from the park at lightning fast speed, it would be a chaotic mess here in a few minutes, he didn’t want to witness his master’s carnage a second time, once was enough.

Cain left as the lone figure of Azazil was left standing there, smiling, waiting for chaos to come into this quiet little world.
