Xia Ruo was sitting in a private room in a famous restaurant and was there to enjoy a new famous dish that was quite the attraction for the restaurant these days. The restaurant itself was a high end restaurant so not a lot of people could afford to eat there and those who could afford to eat there were from the upper class of society. Xia Ruo was smiling charmingly when she remembered that she now had a golden ticket to make Zhang Fei go wherever she wanted and he couldn’t make any excuses. Truth be told, despite Zhang Fei’s nature, she quite enjoyed his company. Others would call her crazy for saying that such a psycopath’s company was enjoyable, especially Coco, but she had a different thought. To her Zhang Fei was the only person who showed himself for who he was, well in front of her at least, and did’t wear a mask like the rest of the world. To her talking to such a person was much more enjoyable………..even though he doesn’t listen to most of the stuff she says.

“Miss you have to believe me, it wasn’t me. I am just a simple waiter who delivers food to the customers, why would I poison your drink. Miss, please let me go, if my manager finds out that such a thing happened while I was serving the dishes then I won’t be having a job anymore and worse I might end up in jail, please miss you have to believe me.” The waiter who was down on his knees pleaded with an aggrieved tone. He was surrounded by big bulky men, which were suggested by Zhang Fei since he had also had a partner in crime who was also his ‘girlfriend’, so people targeting him also targeting his partner didn’t seem weird ……even though the partner was considered more annoying than useful nowadays by Zhang fei.

There were also men surrounding Xia Ruo like a steel fort who was sitting on the chair with her legs crossed and had her chin up and was looking down on the waiter who was kneeling down, she seemed like a cold queen who had the final say in whether he lived or died. Her charming smile that was there a second ago instantly changed into a cold smile that could freeze the room many times over and her eyes had a dark chilly expression, one that was very similar to a certain person.

“Of course it’s you, you know how I know it’s you? It’s because you are very calm, so calm that it seems that you don’t care at all. I can’t see the trembling you are supposed to have, nor the quiverness in your voice or the desperation in your eyes. Buddy if you are going to act, don’t have such shitty skills. Just admit it, my men have already found a poison bottle that was so poorly disposed of in a bin just a little distance away from here, and according to the shifts that I made my men check, your room wasn’t this at all. The worried look on the waiter froze for a moment and he looked a bit awed, after a moment the waiter stopped his act of a wrongly accused victim, he gave out a chuckle and had a casual smile on his face, “Yeah, yeah you are right it was me, too bad I failed though. Care to give me another try?”

“Why did you do it? I don’t remember interacting with you. Don’t tell me you are another one of those idiots who got fooled by my sister’s fake charms and are doing her biddings.”

The casual smile on the waiter face slowly turned sinister and he seemed to have a crazed expression on his face in an instant as soon as he heard the mention of Xia Su, it seemed that he instantly changed from a normal person to a crazed fanatic. “Fake charms? How dare you say that about my love, she is pure and innocent, there is nothing fake about her. She is such a kind hearted woman but a vixen like you-” before the waiter could continue the guard to the side gave the waiter a heavy punch on the face for disrespecting his boss right in front of him. Xia Ruo raised her hand to signal the guard to stop him and let the waiter continue.

The waiter spit out some blood and looked up at Xia Ruo again with a hateful gaze, “like I was saying, a vix- women like you manipulated and harmed her, you are a thorn in her path, so I stepped forward to remove you, I don’t regret. I did what I did for my love.” Xia Ruo rolled her eyes at the hearing the same thing for the nth time and massaged her head because of the ensuing headache. It was the same thing every time, love struck idiots who believed her sister’s lies would come forward to cause problems for her and every single one of them seemed like a second Mo wenzi. So one should understand what a headache dealing with an army of Mo Wenzis every day was.

If Coco was here he would have given a proper explanation for this army of mo Wenzis. Since the Xia Su was the main character of the story of this world she was bound to be a step ahead of everyone else. Her main character halo enhanced her beauty and charm and made the hearts of the defenseless men crumble easily, this effect was even more obvious on people who didn’t have a strong will or were just easily influenced, even people with low IQ such as Mo Wenzi were included in this group.

In this world it seemed that the men who fell for Xia Su forgot their normal reasoning and acted like lunatics, and these very lunatics were ready to do anything to please her. Even though Xia Su was unaware of her main character halo effect, she still used her beauty to get whatever she wanted by telling these guys what to do. Such an ability of a main character truly was like a cheat, according to Coco this was the only reason why the damsel in distresses in stories always have a hero to save them. The plot sama demanded it so it would happen. Sometimes coco thought Plot sama was a real bitch, people would often get screwed by the main characters during their progress in stories and the plot would glorify it, so instead of feeling bad about the victims in the stories, the readers would rather focus on the progress and achievements of the main character even if the characters were good people. But in case of Zhang Fei’s stories no one is a winner. Everyone gets fucked one way or another.

Xia Ruo stopped massaging her head and looked up with same sweet smile on her face that she had a couple of moments ago but only this time instead of giving a charming feeling it sent shivers down the spine of the bodyguards that were around Xia Ruo and they shifted a bit away from her, they preferred the cold smile a moments ago much more. “Well then, since you made the effort to poison the drink, it would be a shame to waste it wouldn’t it?”

“Yeah it would, that’s why you should drink it.” The waiter got punched in the face once more and it seemed this time a tooth broke off as well. The waiter spit out the blood and then peered at the body guard from the side of his eyes 2 to 3 times with what looked like a little fear. The waiter then puffed his chest out to look confident when he realized everyone was still focusing on him and narrowed his eyes as he gave a lethal gaze to Xia Ruo. Everyone in the room had already understood what Xia Ruo meant by not letting the poison go to waste “Since it has come to this, I will see it to the end, but mark my words a bitc- woman like you will get her reckoning one day or another.”

“Yeah yeah whatever, just shut up, drink it and die.” If Coco had heard this he would have again lamented at how such a lovely girl could say such words so casually, it truly was a shame. Well nothing that can be done now except praying for her future victims and asking forgiveness for unleashing such a calamity in this world.

The waiter gave a cold harrumph and took the glass in his hand. He held the glass and looked at it for a while contemplating if there was a way to get out of this alive and also which juice he had put in the glass, if he was going to die at least the last drink should be worthy of it. He knew if he didn’t drink it himself the men around him would force him to do so. So now the only path for him was to die but he was okay with it, he had already prepared himself for it. He took a deep breath and thought how it was all worth it since it was for his love when he realized there truly was no way out, he only hoped that his love got his letter and would come to visit his grave later on. He also hoped she would stop forgetting his name every time they met.

The waiter gave a determined look and drank the juice in one gulp, and then gave Xia Ruo a venomous look which seemed like the only thing the waiter was capable of doing. Silence fell in the room as they waited for the waiter to die any time soon since the poison used was a fast acting one. 30 seconds passed. A minute. 2 minutes. Everyone was still and waiting for the waiter life’s to end. After 3 minutes passed and nothing happened the guards looked at each other with awkward faces and Xia ruo was confused as well. Zhang fei had taught her how to torture people with poison which was a part of the course ‘The art of Suffering’ which Zhang Fei had prepared for Xia Ruo to learn when he was teaching her other things, during that time he also showed her how to detect poisons. She wasn’t an expert but she was sure that the drink was poisoned and one of her guards who was an expert in it said it was a fast acting poison. So the confusion in the room was a given since the waiter who was looked confused as well was still alive.

The look of confusion and disbelief on the waiter’s face changed into one of triumph in cheating death and also not giving what the woman in front of him wanted. He was ecstatic. Who would have thought that he would survive such calamity, he knew that Xia Ruo wouldn’t let him go even now but now she would have to find another way to dispose of him but even that would require time, and he was sure he could escape if he had time. Surely this must have been the power of his love keeping him alive and the universe giving him another chance so that he could reunite with his love.

The waiter stood up tall and proud in front of the confused group of guards and Xia Ruo and gave a triumphant smile while placing his hands on his hips. The waiter gave a smug smile and harrumphed while puffing out his chest to show his arrogance. He stood with a posture of a proud man and it seemed that he was going to say great things as soon as he spoke, things that could sway the hearts and minds of men, one could even see that his surroundings lit up lightly. Everyone was quiet as they waited to hear what great things the man had to say. “ hmph, it looks like I get to live another d-” Before he could finish the great speech that he had prepared in his mind, he spurted out blood from his mouth and swayed here and there a bit with eyes wide open with an expression that said ‘wtf!?’ as he clutched his chest and fell on the ground lifelessly. The room was quiet for a while as everyone looked at the unmoving body. “Well that was anticlimactic.” Xia Ruo gave a simple remark and stood up to leave as the men around her started to clean up the body with such a precision that it seemed it wasn’t their first time doing such a thing.

She had a lot of things to deal with nowadays, her and Zhang Fei’s plan was coming to an end and to wrap it up it needed everything to be timed properly. Soon she could have her well-deserved revenge, she had to admit it was tough seeing to the ones who made her life hell still living a good life in the past few months but they do say revenge is a dish best served cold. She was satisfied how their plan was going , their victims were already in very poor states but according to Zhang Fei it was just a portion of what he had planned, he still had a things planned for everyone especially Mo Wenzi Who had planned to kill Zhang Fei. People like him who decided to piss him off tremendously often met cruel ends and Mo Wenzi was going to be the same.

As far as Xia Su was concerned, Zhang Fei had already decided a way to make her miserable but Xia Ruo decided otherwise, she wanted to give her sister a very special end decided by her very own sister she had tormented so much. She was truly waiting to see how she would cope with everything that was to follow. Xia Ruo closed her eyes and took a deep breath to clear her mind, when she opened her eyes the coldness was gone and was replaced by eyes that any normal girl would have. She went forward to take a stroll while thinking about places where she could take Zhang Fei, she was sure he would enjoy them.

“Achoo!” Zhang Fei sneezed and rubbed his arms as he shivered while coming out of the hospital. “I have a feeling something bad is going to happen to me soon.”

[ha well it wouldn’t be something new] Coco laughed at how finding trouble was somehow a strongpoint of Zhang Fei but it seemed his joke was not appreciated, Coco stopped laughing when he realized that Zhang Fei was giving him a sharp look and became one of the very inanimate cubes he detested. looks like the other thing dead instead of your heart is you sense of humor huehue. Although Coco joked about Zhang Fei’s troubles but it seemed he had ‘forgotten’ that most of the problems that Zhang Fei had were because of him. He had already forgotten to tell Zhang fei about the how the everyday accidents were also because of the negative karma and secondly he had a forgetful personality which further created problems for Zhang Fei. One could say that Coco was a one floating disaster wherever he went so Zhang fei not appreciating his joke after such a shitty experience with his disaster causing cube was a given.

[So host, what now? We are finished with most of the stuff, the task that you were given about making the main character’s lives miserable is almost complete. The task will be considered complete after you finished with your plan.] Actually Coco didn’t care what Zhang Fei chose, he was more focused on getting to the white expanse, where he could get a share of the contribution points. He was really looking forward to buying some things for himself. If zhang Fei knew that he had to share his contribution points with the cube, he would really wished that coco was a human so that he could strangle him.

“There’s nothing much left to do, except removing a few pests all that is left is to clean up the mess.” Zhang Fei gave a simple answer.

[great, oh right host I forgot to tell you what happens after the mission is completed] Zhang Fei just rolled his eyes, of course Coco forgot to tell him something important. It would have been weirder if he did tell him something on time, Zhang Fei would rather think that some other system replaced Coco secretly rather than him telling him something on time.

“What, I get to replace you?” Zhang Fei asked with an arched brow. Somehow Zhang Fei had a feeling that Coco’s previous hosts might also have asked the same question. Like a lot. And to an extent he was right. Well he was right to an extent because some of them did actually try to replace Coco but they met their demise well before they could achieve their happy ending where their main focus was the lack of a Coco.

[ha no, but you do get to stay in the world for as long as the body you possess lives, after the body’s death you get transported back to the white space, or you can leave the world on your own, it’s your choice.] why do I feel I have heard this question somewhere before………nah must be imagining things.

“I will stay, I have important things to do here.” Zhang Fei said with a serious expression, it almost seemed that there was nothing more important than what Zhang Fei intented to do.

Coco was also affected by the atmosphere and he became serious as well which he rarely did, and asked in a serious and curious tone.[ what is it host?]

“Well of course its completing my books, I have to know what my fans think about it.” Yep, the next book is definitely a top selling quality.

Zhang Fei had just recently gotten discharged and he was glad that he could get away from the white hell that had consumed his mind from the past week. Zhang fei made his way towards his Car where steward Li was standing waiting there for him.

“Master fei, it’s good to see that you are now in good health now after the attempt on your life.”

“yeah, they did try to get rid of me but it was a shame they sucked at it.”

Zhang fei got inside the car and steward li also joined him. Steward Li motioned for the driver to start the car. Zhang Fei lied back on the seat and shut his eyes enjoying the silence in the car. Steward li remained silent and let his master enjoy the peace he was experiencing, after a while steward li decided to tell Zhang fei the result of his work “Master Fei, everything is ready.” Zhang Fei slowly opened his eyes and a light mischievious smile came upon his face as the car drove away.
