Zhang Fei gave Xia Ruo a slight smile and greeted her, “Hey. What’s up.”
Xia Ruo also gave a smile in return and said, “Hey. I heard from your assistant that a couple of people tried to kill you. Well he also said that you also demolished a restaurant but I don’t know if that part was true or not. Glad to see you are ok.”
Zhang Fei gave a low chuckle. “Well they tried. They failed and they died, and about that restaurant well yeah it’s true, I did demolish it, and don’t worry I’m fine. It’s just 2 bullets holes and a lot of blood loss, it’s nothing too serious.” Xia Ruo visibly relaxed when she heard from Zhang Fei himself tell her that he was okay but still, two bullets and a lot of blood loss wasn’t serious? Just what did this guy consider a serious injury. Xia Ruo thought about it but then decided to stop that train of thought. Nope, forget it. It will probably give me nightmares.
“So did you enjoy your ‘lone’ venture in the mall?” Zhang Fei gave a small teasing jab towards Xia ruo while simultaneously aiming to get info about her meeting with Xia Su. Zhang Fei expected her to scowl at him but strangely enough she had a brilliant smile. Zhang Fei thought it was weird. He immediately had a bad premonition. He was right. She was the bad premonition.
“Hohoho well I thought you didn’t care what your girlfriend did when not around you?”
“I don’t.”
(-_-) talk about being blunt. Xia Su just ignored Zhang Fei remark and just started recounting everything that happened at the mall, “… So it was basically hitting two birds with one stone, or was it an arrow? Well it doesn’t matter. I got the recording, this can definitely put Xia Su’s reputation to an end for sure.”
Zhang Fei nodded his head as he listened to Xia Ruo. Hmm it seemed like she was a worthy disciple for teaching his arts to. Her scheming was passable but it was still good, but instead of thinking that Xia Ruo was a competent student, he just redirected all the praise towards her teacher; himself. Coco seemed to have understood what Zhang Fei was thinking from the proud full smile on his face and his constant nodding of his head. He already realized that the host was probably praising himself as a teacher rather than Xia Ruo, who did all the dirty work. Coco felt the same disappointment he felt in the beginning when he was considering his future prospects with Zhang Fei. *sigh* how did a brilliant and powerful system like me ended up being his partner.
“Good.” Zhang fei gave a simple one word assessment.
Xia Ruo raised her brows and asked back while stretching the word, “And?”
Zhang Fei rolled his eyes. Of course he realized that by doing something of such great to the noble cause of ruining the main leads lives, she would definitely have a request. If it was someone else he would probably have just paid them a lot of money and put the situation to end, but Xia Ruo was different, she didn’t want money or rather didn’t have a need of it. What she wanted was for him to accompany her to places, and she wouldn’t stop to make you go there no matter what. And that wasn’t the worst part, she would take you to these bizzare places which would leave one dumbfounded on how she found them in the first place, and this time Zhang Fei couldn’t say no to her or block her number. Zhang Fei sighed and said “fine, you tell me where you want to go and I won’t say no, BUT. Just this once”

Xia Ruo gave a cute smile and said with a happy expression while still maintaining that smile, “Great that’s a promise. Remember if you don’t show up I will burn your villa to the ground.”Zhang Fei ignored Xia Ruo’s threat. They had spent a lot of time together and during learnings they would also chat a lot where Zhang Fei would teach her all of his tricks and Xia Ruo would tell him about her thoughts on them. Well she also told him about dresses and cute pets, but Zhang Fei just ignored that part. During the past few months as they got more and more frank with each other, they stopped minding what they said to each other and become less formal. So for them to speak so frankly was a common thing. But Coco thought that this wasn’t good at all, because Xia Ruo was slowly turning into another Zhang Fei by continuously interacting with him. Who knew what kind of mayhem she would cause if she ever went out of control if she ever became like Zhang Fei. Hehe it would be fun to see though.
“You didn’t tell me, who wanted to kill you?” Xia Ruo asked after she calmed down after her excitement for finally making Zhang Fei for agreeing to go with her, besides that she was still thinking of ways to get Zhang Fei back for blocking her number. She asked the question with an inquisitive tone, she was curious, who would have such guts to mess with Zhang Fei. Although only a few people knew his true personality, but even then no one would want an enmity with the young and powerful CEO of the Zhang Corporation. Unless it was a life and death situation where only one of them could stay alive, no one would want him as an opponent.
“Well it was that shitty ex fiancé of yours.”
“Mo Wenzi? But isn’t he in jail.” Xia Ruo was surprised. She hadn’t expected that her ex fiancé, which she had unfortunately the pleasure of knowing, would do such a thing, but she realized that he had spent some time in jail. Such a place often tends to change people’s mindset and personality.
“Doesn’t mean he can’t hire people to kill me. I have to give it to him he didn’t even hire simple goons but professional killers and also sent a lot of them to ensure the kill. He is getting better at this game between us.”
“Nah, he may have changed but I still think he is dumb. You are much better compared to him.”
Zhang Fei looked at her with an amused smile, “Really? Tell me how am I better than him?”
Xia Ruo pondered for a moment and then replied, “You are less dumb I guess.”
“………..”(一一) Wow, I don’t know if that’s an insult or genuine praise. Coco gave a low chuckle but immediately shut up when he sensed a deathly glare directed towards him. It seemed his host was still pissed at him, but Coco didn’t understand. Did he do something wrong? Nope, I’m just thinking too much.
Zhang Fei and Xia Ruo chatted for a while before Zhang Fei told her to go away because he wanted to rest. Well he didn’t just need to rest, he also wanted her to go away because she wouldn’t shut up otherwise. Zhang Fei saw Xia Ruo leave the room, after repeatedly reminding him about going out with her otherwise he would suffer a fate worse than death. He dropped his head on the pillow. He heaved a sigh and closed his eyes to get some much needed sleep.

In the same hospital Xia Su was currently had her leg plastered because it was broken. She was also lying on her bed waiting to fall asleep because she had taken the pain medication for her injury and was also exhausted from dealing with her ‘friends’ that came to ask her about her accident, to which she would reply with a weak smile that would raise pity in one’s heart. She didn’t tell them what happened and just said that she fell, because if she blamed Xia Ruo then the person in question might release the recording which would be detrimental to her plans for being successful in her life and ruining her sister’s life. Someone even suggested if her sister had something to do with it.
On normal times she would be happy to push her sister in the pit but now she herself had to defend the sister that she loathed so much, it was humiliating. Her smile had faded when the last group of people had left. She was full of fury and from the expression on her face she seemed borderline insane. She was indeed a beautiful woman but right now her contorted face made her look like a demon sent from hell. Her sister had an advantage over her now and could potentially ruin her, she needed to act fast and get rid of that recording or all her efforts would go down the drain. She was determined to not lose out to that bitch again.
She took her medicine and decided to go to sleep, all could be taken care of but she still needed because she was exhausted from interacting with so many people but also because she needed her beauty sleep which she had missed. Only by using her beauty could she come out as the victor in this war. She had used it on many men in the past, even now she could make any man do her bidding, all she had to do was utter some sweet words with a fake smile. Xia Su gave an evil smile before going to sleep as she thought how beauty is truly a dangerous thing. She forgot that this phrase could go two ways.
Meanwhile In the jail of S city Mo Wenzi was shrinking in the corner of a certain area of the jail with no surveillance, while cowering in fear. The goons he had around him were now currently busy fighting with some other prison inmates. Although it seemed like a deadlock but slowly the other side was beating up his men, and very brutally too. He would have shivers each time he saw an arm, leg or jaw being broken. Some of the injuries were even worse. He himself knew martial arts, since he was the young master of a major corporation it was necessary for him learn martial arts to defend himself. But now looking at the other party’s fighting techniques, he didn’t have much hope in himself. He felt utter despair. These guys would surely beat the shit out of him based on the bloodthirsty smile on their faces as they made their way towards him. Baldy was currently holding a metal pipe in his hands and was fending off the attackers. He was really quick and seemed to be the best among his men, he was quick and fast and could easily dodge all the attacks. All though someone had hit him on the head and his shiny head now seemed more like a ruby because of the red color of the blood with the shine still present.
After a few minutes of fighting only five of Mo wenzi’s men were left standing, including baldy with all of them injured. They all stopped fighting and a guy on the other side came up and said, “ Just give us the kid, we only want to beat him up, just a little though, no need to worry, hehe. Otherwise you will end up like the rest of your guys. Mo wenzi thought that he may have believed that man if he didn’t have such an evil smile and chuckled so sinisterly while saying that. Baldy gave the men on the opposite side a ferocious gaze, “dream on, we may be criminals but we still have a sense of honor and pride, you little sissies shouldn’t get so full of yourself just because you took us by surprise otherwise with your pathetic skills my men would have destroyed you, so if you bitches want him come and get him.” Baldy said this much to the dismay of the rest of the men.
They wanted to run away, but now that their leader said such a thing, chances of them getting out of this without a fight were slim. Mo wenzi shot baldy a grateful look. He thought that if he ever got out of this unscathed he would have to repay his loyalty. Baldy slowly came near Mo wenzi while fending off the attacks and said to him, “Boss, we aren’t gonna last long, its best we get some more men, you stay here while I go get some more men to come here.” After saying this he made a mad sprint to get away from here while dodging the attacks directed towards him. All while Mo wenzi and the rest of the men looked at him with dumbstruck looks. They couldn’t believe he ran away after challenging the other side so valiantly and making them angry because of the insults.
The other side took advantage of them being in such a situation and quickly took everyone on the other side except Mo wenzi down. Mo wenzi gulped nervously when he saw this. He had a fear struck expression which quickly changed into one of determination after contemplating for a while. He stood up and looked at the single guy that approached him with a sharp look. He knew that he was on his own, if he wanted to get out of this without becoming a punching bag, he needed to fight on his own to the fullest. He also realized that he shouldn’t have relied on others, and should have just relied on himself. He now understood that only you are responsible for what happens to you and only you can rely on yourself. As he thought this he made a firm look appear on his face and clenched his hands into a fist and moved his arm forward to give a hard punch the guy in the face.
The guy moved aside easily and kneed Mo wenzi ferociously in the stomach. Mo wenzi fell down while holding his stomach while the rest of the attackers surrounded him and buried him with a barrage of punches and kicks, after which they left. All this wasn’t a simple feud in jail, but rather was all done by Zhang Fei. He hadn’t planned to do anything to Mo wenzi any time soon, but because of him he missed his club meeting which he had waited for an entire week because of him which pissed him off a lot, he hired a bunch of the men in the jail to beat Mo wenzi up. Not all of them were Mo wenzi’s goons so finding some to beat up Mo wenzi wasn’t difficult at all. Mo wenzi lied there looking really horrendous with his swollen face and bruises on his body. His body ached and he felt pain all over his body. he sat up and spit out some blood. He was angry that he was beaten like an old dog without even being able to defend himself, but he was still glad that it was over. Although he got beat up, he still survived this beating. He was sure that such a thing wouldn’t happen again since his father wouldn’t definitely reprimand the authorities and hire even more men inside the jail to protect him. Little did he know that neither of the two things which he hoped for were going to come true and this was just one of the many beating that were planned for him in the future. All this was done by the on and only Zhang Fei, just because he couldn’t attend a meeting.
