[HOST DUCK!]

Zhang Fei heard Coco scream in a panicked voice, Zhang Fei didn't think twice and immediately ducked just before a bullet went whizzing away right above his head and hit the stall a couple of meters away from him. Zhang Fei then immediately got up while turning around to face the unlucky man who was soon to fall prey to Zhang Fei's counterattack. The man had a shocked and disbelieving expression, he couldn't believe he missed, and even from such a short distance. It was simply embarrassing considering he was a professional killer. If his colleagues found about this he was sure that he would spend the rest of his life being a laughing stock.

But unfortunately for him, he tried to kill Zhang Fei and even failed, he was bound to have a short life. Zhang moved his left hand fast to knock away the gun from the guy's hand and with his right hand with a knife which he got from who knows where, thrust the knife right into the guy's throat and left it lodge there while he kicked the guy ruthlessly in the chest which made him fly backwards and crash right on the ground. Zhang Fei stood there and looked at the body that had turned bloody from the neck and was continuing to dye the pavement red. Coco shivered when he saw this and thought only one thing. Brutal. Too brutal............................. 8/10. Could have used more blood though.

Zhang Fei went forward to take out his knife from the guy's throat as well as inspect the guy's body to get some information but before he could take a step forward, his eyes turned wide and he immediately turned around and bolted as fast as he could. Just as he bolted away more bullets were fired at his direction and a few figures also started running after him. Zhang Fei turned around to see this and immediately increased his speed as bullets continued to fly past him. He also heard a guy following him giving instructions to the others.

"Get some of the men to run around the corner and flank him, don't let him get away!"

"Yes understood!"

Coco who was flying besides Zhang Fei at a fast speed heard the man following them shout to a few other men who split away from the group.

[Wow host who did you piss off this time?] He was sure that given Zhang Fei's personality he must have definitely pissed someone off. According to him Zhang Fei had a tendency to humiliate people and make them eat dirt in any interaction he would have with people he didn't like.

"I don't know, I usually piss off a lot of people" Zhang Fei replied in a hurried manner as he ran. Ever since he had come to this world, there had been a lot of instances where trouble would come finding him, which Zhang Fei blamed his shitty luck for, but he would still deal with them effortlessly and come out unscathed, although based on his personality he would often bitch slap a lot of people during the process, which he enjoyed doing tremendously. Who knew whether any of them got offended enough for them to do such a thing. But Still Zhang Fei thought it was unlikely since he would always make sure he didn't eat more than he could chew and did everything with cold calculation. Hence there would only be very few people who would hate him this much to do such a thing. Zhang Fei continued running through the streets while Coco who could sense the location of the pursuers in the surroundings would often point out the directions for him to take so he could avoid them. He rushed past the streets and the people that were running here and there due to the shooting. Adrenaline filled his body as he dashed away and his focus and vigilance increased to the limit.

He continued running away and increasing the distance between him and his pursuers while listening to Coco's directions. He would have just turned around and dealt with them and if it was any other time but he had a hunch that their numbers weren't few and he was also unarmed. While he was thinking of different scenarios in his head in which he could get rid of the people chasing him he saw a stall ahead of him which was full of knives. His eyes lit up brightly and he immediately headed towards it and took a few of them before continuing running away. He calmed down a bit after he had the knives, he didn't need to be on the defensive anymore, all he needed was now to figure out a strategy and wait for the right time and he could take them all out. Zhang Fei continued madly dashing as bullets continuously rained on him and was going to take a right turn but he heard Coco immediately call out to him.

[No, no Host Stop, Stop! Wrong way, WRONG WAY!] Zhang Fei misheard Coco's direction when he was busy dodging the bullets and thinking of a strategy to get rid of the people trying to kill him and was about to enter the street but stopped just as he saw five men running towards him. The five men saw him and stopped at a distance away from Zhang Fei and one of the guy yelled, "Light him up." Zhang Fei didn't wait for them to raise their gun and immediately started dashing away from them again while simultaneously throwing three knives. He didn't look whether the knives hit them or not and he didn't have any hope off doing much damage either since he threw them in a hurry, but Coco saw the result of Zhang Fei's assault. Two of the knives hit two men directly in the chest killing the off while one of them hit another guy's leg rendering him useless in the ensuing pursuit. The other 2 guys ignored their comrades and continued their pursuit.

[Nice throw host, that did lot of damage.] Coco honestly praised his host, because he knew that it was difficult to hit moving targets with throwing knives especially when you were moving yourself and did it in a hurry. Coco learnt all this knowledge from the time he used to read books. Well he actually also learnt a lot from the movies he used to watch while he was stuck in a box and truth be told he used to watch movies more than reading books. He didn't mention this to Zhang Fei because he wanted show off his immense knowledge to Zhang Fei and make him look stupid. He knew knowledge from books held more value than those from blockbuster movies. Especially when making others look stupid.

Zhang Fei smirked in response "Wait till you see me with a gun." Zhang Fei continued running away in the narrow streets of the area. Since it was a marketplace the area was also crowded with people running here and there because of the shooting. This proved to be much helpful to Zhang Fei's advantage because his pursuers seemed to not wildly start shooting at him in fear of there being too many civilian casualties which would definitely spell some trouble for them later. Zhang Fei saw single guy in front of him off at a distance showing a smug smile.

The guy probably thought that he had that he had Zhang Fei cornered and could get rid of him easily. When they were told to split off he sneakily separated from his colleagues. He was much familiar with the area of the market place since he frequented this market place and the nearby streets a lot and could easily guess which way Zhang Fei would come. Some of his colleagues had noticed him and also decided to follow him although they were much behind, they would soon reach him. He decided to get rid of this Zhang Fei before the rest of the guys caught up to him, he could already hear their shouts from a distance. If he could kill Zhang Fei by himself, he was sure that he would get a bigger paycheck than the rest of his colleagues. He rose his gun at Zhang fei who was off at a distance and was still running towards him and with an evil glint in his eyes aimed the gun at Zhang Fei. Hmph, blame your shitty luck for encountering me kid.

After this though he pulled the trigger but strangely there was no sound, he pulled it gain but still there was no bang. He looked down at his gun and realized that he hadn't had the opportunity to shoot a single shot since the chase had begun and had forgotten to remove the safety of the gun. Well shit. He looked up to look at Zhang Fei but instead of him, he saw a knife flying towards him that directly hit him in the forehead. Both Coco and Zhang Fei thought the same thing. Idiot. What a total idiot.

Zhang Fei didn't move towards the guy's direction since he had already noticed that few people were going to catch up to the now dead guy.

"Coco where are the police, shouldn't there have been some of them here already?" Zhang Fei asked Coco since such an incident would definitely would already have a few policemen present to take care of the situation, also when he was checking the map he had also notice that a police station wasn't so far away from the area either.

[Well they should have, but I think you forgot a very important thing host, this is a world made up from a novel, and there is often a lot of illogical things occurring in such novels, so I don't think it's strange that the police haven't shown up yet, and from what I can guess and the normal way of things that happen in such worlds, they probably won't show up until this chase comes to an end with either them dead or you dead. Well you could also escape too.]Although Coco said escape he really thought Zhang Fei's chances were slim and he would probably end up dead. Probably. *Sigh* well I best start preparing to meet my new host. Coco silently lit a candle and offered a prayer for his sometimes nice but more often than not ruthless and evil host who he had only spent such a short time with. Strangely enough coco thought that this wasn't the shortest time for him to be paired up with a host. This meant that there were many more victims to Coco's forgetfulness and carelessness and many of them died miserable deaths with no souls intact, which was also the reason for him being in a box for millions of years.

"Yeah you are right, seems like we are all on our own." Zhang Fei calmly replied to Coco totally unaware that the cube had already defected to the other side. Zhang Fei then saw a car speeding towards him and they guys inside were obviously one of his pursuers. The guy in the passenger seat told the driver to run Zhang Fei over while he himself poke out his head to shoot at Zhang fei. But it didn't end well for him since he ended up with a Knife sticking between his eyebrows. The Car went towards Zhang Fei with an extremely fast speed and the driver was sure he would hit Zhang fei, but Zhang Fei didn't turn around in another direction but instead also ran towards the car and right at the moment it was going to hit him he jumped and put one foot on the front of the car while hurried making another leap and vaulting over the top of the car and then landed on the other side unscathed as the car drove away. He looked at the car and smugly said, "Hehe didn't expect that did you, sucker." Coco just rolled his nonexistent eyes at his host's smug behavior.

Zhang Fei had already made a huge distance from the majority of guys that were following him from the start as he made a few more turns. He saw two more men with gun in front of him but he had already thrown two knives at them that hit them in the chest and killed them before they could shoot a single shot. Since he had already made a distance from the rest he thought he should finally take a gun from these men and put an end to this shit show. Just as he went forward and was going to reach for a gun he noticed a bright glint off at a distance from the top of a tall building that seemed to be abandoned. He immediately stopped reaching for the gun and leapt to the side and did a roll just as a bullet hit the ground right at the spot he was at before and totally destroyed the road at that spot. One could already guess it was a sniper. Zhang Fei was shocked to see that the other side had spared no expense to get rid of him. Hmm, I guess I pissed someone...... a lot. He immediately ran for the open door of a store but another bullet came again and this time it hit him in the arm just as he was entering the store. But luckily for Zhang Fei it only scraped his arm and didn't hit the bone. It hurt but Zhang Fei decided to ignore the pain and continued with the great escape.

Zhang Fei hurriedly Went to get out from the store through the back door, he went out and made a few turns and right when he thought that he was safe he saw that at both the left and right side of the road he was on a lot of people with guns were approaching and the people behind him were also going to catch up at this rate, and worst he had ran out of knives. Zhang fei saw that there was a restaurant in front of him which was empty. He immediately ran towards the restaurant and jumped towards the glass window of the restaurant to enter it while bullets rained down on him. In this rain of bullets a single bullet that was different from the rest came down and hit Zhang Fei right in the thigh just as he had broken through the glass and was still mid-air.

Zhang Fei grunted in pain just as he landed and angrily cursed while he limped away to the back of the store. Damn fucking sniper. He silently thought that it probably couldn't get any worse. He was wrong. He immediately made his way towards the kitchen area where a back door would definitely be form where he could escape. He pushed the door but it didn't budge, he pushed it again but it didn't open. Zhang Fei stood there with a blank look on his face as he stared at the door without blinking. He realized the door was locked firmly. He realized that he was stuck in the restaurant with no way out. He also realized that he was fucked. Big time. Zhang Fei sighed heavily. Just my fucking luck. Just as he thought this bullets started being shot at him and he took cover behind the counter of the kitchen where the kitchen staff would normally hand out the prepared food to the waiters. Zhang Fei sat there while shots were continuously being fired at him. Zhang Fei tore his shirt's sleeve to bandage his wound and stop the bleeding while the firing intensity lessened down a bit.

Zhang Fei calmly started thinking of a way to get out of this sticky situation, he started cancelling out the scenarios that would lead to him just being a dead body instead of getting out of here alive. After his calculations he realized he had very slim chance of getting out alive, unless....

"Coco can you still get me an item in advance, the onetime withdrawal you told me about?" He was depressed to use such a life-saving gem right in his first mission but desperate times require for desperate measures. (T-T) sigh, what terrible luck.

[Sure host although it can't be something too extreme, you can ask for anything.]

"Well then, give me a gun." Zhang Fei thought that with a gun in his hand he could get rid of all these people easily even though he was cornered he believed in his own skills and was sure that he would come up on top. Hope started to build up in Zhang Fei for getting out of this alive.

[Okay host, one gun coming right up!]

After Coco said this a thing magically appeared in Zhang Fei's hand out of nowhere but instead of having a happy look it was rather a look devoid of any expression. Coco seemed to have poured cold water on Zhang Fei and all his hopes.

"Coco." Zhang Fei called out Coco in a flat tone as he looked at the thing in his hand.

[Yes host?]

"What is this?"

[A BAZOOKA!!!] Coco excitedly replied.

"I know, but is this a gun?"

[uhh................yes?]Coco replied in an inquisitive and unsure manner. Zhang Fei looked at Coco with a menacing expression that expressed as if the other person had murdered his entire family and he was his mortal enemy. Zhang Fei suppressed his anger and just sighed and thought of reprimanding Coco at another time.

"Coco are all of the pursuers in the restaurant and how many of them are here right now?"

[Hmm let me check, there are 30 of them and it seems to be all of them in the nearby vicinity currently.]

Zhang Fei heard this and had already formed a plan though it was a bit too reckless. The men who were shooting at Zhang Fei were jubilant since they had cornered Zhang Fei and he had no way of running away. He had already killed some of them and was constantly slipping away from them and they were angry at him for that but no worries, since he couldn't get away now he probably end up only one way; dead. "Cease fire and reload, he can't get away anyways. After reloading go forward and kill him" One guy who seemed to be the leader shouted. All the men had smiles on their faces since what their leader said was true, they had seen that the back door was locked and Zhang Fei couldn't run away .They couldn't wait to get over with this and get their paycheck, they stopped firing and started reloading before going forward to kill the guy. But just as they started reloading they saw Zhang Fei stand up with a mischievous smile on his handsome face. When they saw what Zhang fei was holding in his hands they turned pale as a paper and their souls almost left their bodies due to the shock and fright. There was total silence for a small moment and then Zhang Fei pulled the trigger and caused utter chaos.
