It was a cloudy day with pleasant breeze and everyone was enjoying the weather by going out with their families and loved ones to enjoy this lovely day, either by going to the park or the lake side and enjoying the company of the familiar people around them.
A lone figure was strolling through a particular area of the city most famous for having a peaceful environment, while enjoying the quietness and the serenity.
The person had a slight smile as he looked at the world around him while living in the moment, he looked at everything with a focused gaze to observe the multitude of different things the tress, the people, the cars, the colors and everything that came in his view .His gaze was that of someone looking for something.
The young man had exquisite features with well-defined facial structure and had had piercing eyes that would make one breathless when gazed upon with, he had a magnificent aura around him that made people know that he wasn't someone simple,if one had to say he was like a dazzling light when compared to the ordinary masses.
while enjoying his walk he reached the faraway riverbank but he still seemed to not have enough of strolling around, a ringing brought him out of his trance ,he took out his phone and looked at the number, with an aggrieved look he decided to answer the call.
"What do you want?"
"Oh hello boss, i didn't think you would pick up my call ,well anyways-"
"I'm not coming back."
"Boss, come on, you haven't returned in 5 years, im begging you to come back". The assistant was feeling quite helpless, if he knew his boss would never come back after his office leave, he wouldn't have let him go, he thought the boss just wanted a vacation, who knew it was a 5 year vacation.

The man slightly frowned obviously displeased with the intrusion in his stroll.
"I gave the old geezers a proper guidelines to run the companies and handed it to them ,i don't have anything to do with them anymore, and don't call me boss"
"hehe well boss it's still your group of companies, oh and if you don't come back I'll be forced to send some more people-"
"Did you forget what i did to the last group of people you sent to kidnap me?"
"....." no because we never managed to find the bodies!
The man stood in front of the river bank taking to his loathsome assistant (EX-assistant) who managed to find him wherever he went to get him to come back to his old life, but he wasn't interested in it anymore so meh.
"spit it out , why are you bothering me now , I already left and signed a contract leaving all the companies in the hands of the board of directors"
"ah well boss , the thing is *cough*cough* we uh, we are the verge on becoming bankrupt and we were hoping you could come back ..."
"...." Wow these idiots didn't even take ten years to fuck up.
The man just casually hung up the call, closed the phone and threw it into the river .Not my problem anymore. Its not like he doesn't care, wait.....oh right he doesn't.
The man started making his way home, his mood bad because of the call interrupting his search for inspiration , argh! Stupid brain just give me some ideas to complete my book.
While he was crossing the road and was thinking of how to make the new characters life in his book miserable ,a truck was speeding towards the unaware him.just when he thought of way to ruin a characters life he sensed something rushing towards him,he turned his head saw the rushing truck

Truck-, truck-san?
Before he could think of anything else the truck driver suddenly hit the brakes and stopped while skidding right in front of him.
The man sucked in a cold breath, and thought how the infamous truck san had almost sent him to another dimension .
The driver stuck out his head and yelled " heck kid, are you blind can't you see the fucking truck!?" .The young man was pissed. you dumb old geezer the light was red!
Before he could give the truck driver a fierce face slapping he suddenly felt a huge force being exerted on his side and he felt himself flying and the then his whole life memories that just went by begrudgingly came back for another run. He fell on his head and heard a blood curdling crack before everything went black.
Before he died he glimpsed at one of life biggest secret one that most people would be unaware of for the rest of their lives, that truck-san had a twin.

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Rifts of War
The visions. It was they that told us about our future. They said that we were the true rulers of the world, the spreaders of light, the guardians of the rightious path. The visions gave us signs of a bright new world, one united under a single banner of light. All those who opposed us suffered and here we stand on the top, watching over the world. We thought it would last forever, but we thought wrong. The visions once again spoke to us and gave us insight, but not to glory or power. They spoke of a terrible fate. An enemy from beyond the realm, one that wishes to destroy us all, one that threatens to bring about the end of the light and usher an age of darkness. As its guardians, we could not allow that. And so we decided to strike. Our armies and our mages gather at the great rift that connects our world. No one knew what we would find. Treasures? Rich land? Savage beasts? There was only one way to find out. A/N: The story starts out pretty quick and I know people will say this is a "military p*rn" but that's only the beginning. I really do have much more planned for this book so I can make a true 'war of the worlds' type of deal. So stick around and enjoy
