Chapter 2 - Stealing from the government

Whew that was tiring, i never knew that the roads here are super dangerous every 5 minutes of walking a different kind of beast will attack you, If i was the king of this country i would have installed road guars here a long time ago or atleast some kind of fence to divide the wild.

But now looking at it, it was all worth it anyway as the view is too good; its a real fantasy town how majestic!.

Well i didn’t come here just to look at it, its time to get moving

As i was almost there i noticed something, the guards seem to be examining the people about to enter the town with a crystal ball. This is bad, what if they saw my 'Legendary Thief' skill? would they refuse to let me in? luckily I had the essence concealment skill so i might as well use it now.

Wow, this skill is great i can even conceal my stats this will be very useful for infiltrating different places.

I walked forward towards the gate.

"Hey! You there!." The guard said as he looked at me.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"Show me your gate pass, If you don't have one then please sit right there on there and we will issue one for you"The guard said as he pointed towards the benches.

Well, that's good they didn't seem to suspect me.

I walked towards the benches the guard pointed at and sat there leisurely, The bench seemed to be made out of wood but even though its hard it's still comfortable to sit at.

"Alright, Next please!"

I looked towards the voice, it's a girl who seems to be at least 20 and she looks kind of pretty and had red hair, the most noticeable thing about her seems to be her chest looking at it, it seems to be at least an F or an E cup.

"I said next! and stop looking at me like that it's making me uncomfortable."She said as she looked at me at disgust

'Oh fuck' I thought as I stood up and walked towards the counter.

"Okay It looks like your new here, Please state your name, age, race, and job."The girl said as she prepared some paper and a pen.

"Ummm, My name is Zacky Preins, im 17, Human, And a merchant, I was traveling here but my carriage got attacked by wolves that's why I had to walk towards here," I said.

"I only asked about your name, age, race, and job not your whole backstory."She sneered

"Hahaha" I laughed embarrassedly.

"Okay, now please stand right here and put your right hand on the crystal ball," She said as she waved her left hand

I moved towards the are in which she pointed at and raised my right hand and rested it lightly on the crystal ball.

'oh shit its shining!!' I said lightly as the crystal ball shined a faint blue color.

"Mmm, Everything seems to be right. Okay now, all that is left is the Gate pass fee and we will give you your pass." She said as she looked at the crystal ball"

Oh great, it looks like my 'Essence Concealment' skill works even at these things. Wait a minute, Gate pass fee?

Swiftly I swiped my hands on his pocket finding what looks to be a light brown pouch with some coins inside of it.

I hurriedly changed my posture to the posture I was doing before I activated the 'time skip' skill.

I reached my pocket and took out the light brown pouch I from the guard earlier and undid the string, oh wow looks like i was lucky, this pouch has atleast 15 silver.

I picked 5 silver coins and handed it to the girl.

"Here," I said.

"Alright that seems to be everything, Here's your pass and welcome to Ruben town and enjoy your stay!"She said as he handed me a pass with my information on it.

Everything seems to be working out so far.
