《Age of Swordsmen Online》7.5 Pain

"Shizu!? Shizu!?" Kyaga tried to wake her up by shaking her body.
She slowly opened her eye again locking her gaze onto Kyaga. "Kyaga?"
"Yes, yes. It's me!" He answered. Happiness is written across his face through the fact that his friend did not die as he thought.
"We beat him?" She asked. Her voice was still shaken up by what just happened and she had to get her consciousness back together.
"Yeah! You two almost had him but Rex and Toya came to help and finished him off."
Shizu smiled. "Well, at least I'm not dead, huh?"
Kyaga smiled back. "Yeah..." He said. A smile on his face, but a tear rolling down his cheek.
Rex and Toya, who helped up Itaka first, were now coming towards Shizu and Kyaga.
Kyaga quickly wiped his tears away and turned around. "Thank you, guys. You saved us there!"
"No problem Kyaga. We can't just let our friends die." He smiled back at him. "And I'm really glad that you are still fine Shizu. That looked painful."
"It sure is." She tried to laugh a bit but had to suppress it, because her body was still hurting too much. "I don't remember the pain being so realistic, to be honest."
In the last few weeks and months, especially as the top Players of AOS, all of them didn't really have that much high-level fighting going on, so they couldn't remember the pain simulation that good. But what they knew was that it wasn't that bad.
"Yeah, you're right." Answered Itaka. "It's almost like the Pain is 100% realistic. No, that it was like that ever before."
Kyaga nodded as well. "I thought so too."
"It might really not be the place we all thought it was." Said Rex, brushing his hand through his hair. His eyes went over to Kyaga again. "What were you guys doing here anyway?"

"Doing a quest."
"A quest?" Answered Rex unbelieving. "Where did you get that?"
"In the Colosseum." Answered Kyaga whereupon Rex smiled at him.
"So we really think just the same, huh?" He answered,
"You really were the guys that did that quest too, huh?" Asked Itaka.
"Yup, and without Boss Fight for some reason..." Rex said a bit sarcastic.
"We don't know what that was all about as well..." Kyaga was still confused. "A Boss Fight at Level 1? That's just ridiculous."
"You are right. It was lucky you survived that encounter."
"We were lucky that you were near us." Mumbled Shizu down from the ground, still laying on Kyagas lap.
"That still doesn't explain why you were fighting with a Boss Monster, though." Rex looked at them skeptically. "We found 20 berries without risking our lives."
"I just saw that bush," Shizu pointed to the bush that was on the head of the giant just a minute ago, but was now laying on the ground, uprooted and full of dirt, "and I had to check if some berries were in there because we couldn't find some."
Rex smiled and turned. "Well then, let's check!"

Fear: Ever-Changing and Evolving
What is your worst fear? My worst fear is betrayal. I have been betrayed once, and I never want it to happen again. I was killed by the few people I called friends: Alyssa Nervolt, Jake Finflame, Riley Bluton, and Nico Heptic. I will never forget those 4 names, the names of the one's who betrayed me! They think that they have nothing to fear. But I'll show them. If they don't fear me, then I will MAKE them fear me! I will change and evolve into their worst fears, destroy them completely, and then become FEAR ITSELF!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------Hey readers, MultiBlitz15 here! I have put the mature tag on due to the blood and gore. NO SEXUAL SCENES WILL BE WRITTEN!! Also, the cover is temporary until I get a better one. This is the story of an overpowered mc who keeps getting more overpowered in order to get revenge on the ones who betrayed him. I try to update this fiction daily, but stuff happens and sometimes I can't upload, so if I stop uploading chapters all of a sudden, it means something in real life came up. I will NOT drop this fiction or put it on a long hiatus, EVER! My breaks will never exceed 7 days, and I don't plan on having breaks longer than 3 days, but again, stuff happens. Also, I update frequently because the chapters I write are REALLY short. If you can bear with these flaws, then thank you, and please enjoy the story!

Courier
Zoe Blanco moved to New York after fleeing the small town she grew up in and the Purity Church that controls it. The Church believes in keeping humanity pure. This means none of the NanoPCs known as Frames or any other cybernetics that most of the rest of the world uses and enjoys everyday. Upon arriving in the Big Apple, Zoe is picked up by her cousin and witnesses a courier weaving their motorcycle through traffic. Zoe envies the courier's freedom. Couriers transport data and on occasion small objects for anyone willing to pay the price. Secured delivery is guaranteed and no questions are asked. Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.
