Suddenly he heard a loud roar. Or rather a deep battle scream. His eyes focused on Itaka again, even though his voice wasn't that deep, but he was still holding on against the attack of the Monster anyways.

Confused Kyaga began to scan area and quickly saw a big shadow flying in the direction of the Monster out of the air. It looked like a big man who was launching himself in the direction of it with his sword in his hands, charging up a powerful attack.

"Kanagaki?" Kyaga whispered unbelievingly.

As the man finally struck the arm of the Boss it let out a deafening, shrill scream.

Itaka could finally breathe for a second and collapsed onto his knees gasping for air.

The man finally turned over to Kyaga, revealing his face... "Rex!?" Thought Kyaga. "What is he doing here?"

"Go and help Shizu," Yelled Rex. "We take this thing on!"

Kyaga nodded and ran over to Shizu, who was still lifelessly laying on the ground.

A second person was now running towards the Monsters back with high speed. The steps so quiet that it had no clue there was someone else emerging. The purple hair was somewhat unmistakeable so Kyaga knew it was Toya.

With all that momentum caught into one dash, she pierced her sword through the torso of the Boss and came out of the other side.

"Wow" Mumbled Itaka, who was still on his knees on the ground and slowly started to get up on his feet again. "Almost 150 Damage in one hit That is huge!"

In AOS there's a game mechanic name "High Damage Stuns", and it basically stuns enemies that get damaged for more than 10% of their health in one blow. This game mechanic was always highly controversial since the beginning of the game, since it meant that burst classes could just stun you with one huge blow that almost kills, and finish you off while you can not even defend against them. In every class' PvP Skilltree there was luckily a Passive Skill Called "High Damage Stun reduction", that was a must-have for everyone playing the game, because it nullified that effect. But it could still be used against almost every NPC.

And this time window Rex and Toya used to strike him down once and for all. With another battle roar from Rex and a huge dash from Toya they both for its head and... *blonk*

The Tree head fell down before it slowly started to disintegrate into millions of white pixels that flew up in the air, leaving nothing behind but the tree that was right on top of the giant's head.
