"He doesn't even take any damage. What is his!?" Mumbled Itaka. He tried to clear his mind and get out of his head that Kyaga just got beaten by the first Monster they encountered. "He probably was just underestimating the Giant and not paying attention. There's no way he's losing!" He thought to himself.
"Hold on Kyaga! We are coming!" Shizu was just about to just mindlessly run onto the Monster when Itaka hold out his hand in front of her to block her.
"No Shizu, we can't make the same mistake as him. If we just run at him there's no way we can win. He strong and fast so we have to outsmart him." Suggested Itaka. He tried to make every move as careful as possible now, still not knowing what exactly was going on and, of course, still not knowing what consequences an in-game death had.
"Ahhh!" Kyaga let out a short scream again and Shizu had to restrain herself not just running up to him and fighting that Monster one versus one.
"Okay..." She whispered and looked up to Kyaga who was struggling around in the hand of the giant. She had to accept that it was completely useless to just run in now and probably end up in his hand as well. "And what is your plan?"
"Splitting up." Answered Itaka in an instant and pushed up his glasses with his index finger. "With only one hand free he will have a big problem fighting us both, so when we split up and just focus on dodging every time he attacks, the one who doesn't get attacked can get some free hits."
Shizu, who was amazed by the fact that Itaka came with a plan so quick, looked over to the giant again and nodded determinedly. "Sounds good to me!"

"Then let's go!" Itaka jumped to the right and Shizu to the left. Leaving the Giant confused as where to move. Making Shizu going into attack stance before Itaka yelled over to her. "No! Just wait until he attacks!"
A short moment later he turned over to Shizu and lifted his arm again.
"Get ready!" Shouted Itaka.
Shizu focused on the arm and as soon as he started to thrust it down she counted down in her head. "Three, two, one.." She jumped in last second, dodging the powerful thrust that erupted the earth next to her, making several pieces of ground flying through the ground and whirled up dust everywhere.
You could hear Kyaga, in the other hand, coughing from all the dust in his face.
"Sorry, Kyaga!" Yelled Shizu, hoping that he could even hear her and grateful that he was at least still conscious.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." He answered agonized. "His grip is not as tight anymore."
As soon as the dust settled again she saw Itaka who was already behind the giant getting several not so powerful, but quick, critical hits on the neck, making the rainbow dust fly everywhere.
As soon as it reached up again with his free hand Itaka jumped down again and went in position.

"Nice one Itaka!" Cheered Shizu.

Galactic Economics
Humanity enters the galaxy and makes First Contact, only to begin to realize that not everything is at it seems. It appears that the galactic alien community has forgotten to invent some rather important economic concepts that human civilization has taken for granted. This is a look at a hypothetical galactic scale barter economy, how that would work, or how as one of our main characters Sarah realizes... it doesn't. And as the galaxy falls apart at the seams, it's up to the best and brightest in humanity to put things back together. Story contains a lot about markets, logistics, development, and the best and worst of human history. Not so much Space Marines nuking aliens. If you enjoyed the trade negotiations and Senate politics in the Star Wars prequels, and wished that there was an entire standalone story consisting solely of those parts, this might be for you! Galactic Economics is also posted on reddit here.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
