《Age of Swordsmen Online》2.1 Miyoshi...?

Kyaga removed the VR-Force from his head and placed it next to him, on his mattress and slid over to the edge of his bed. He stood up, yawned and stretched himself one time before he started to walk out of his room, and down the stairs.
"I'm here mom!" Called Kyaga over to his mom, who was still cooking. The food smelt very delicious. "What are you doing?"
"Your favorite Ramen!" Answered his mom with a smile on her face.
Kyaga was already sitting at the dining table and waited hungrily for his food.
"You remember that we wanted to go to your step-brother's sword-fighting tournament, don't you?" Asked him his mother.
"Yes, I do." Said Kyaga a bit annoyed. "As long as we are home at 23:30, I'm fine with that."
"We should make it in time." There were a few seconds of silence between them. "Why do you have to say your friends goodbye that late, though? Why can't you just say bye now?"
Kyaga looked over to her with disappointment written all over his face. "Seriously mom?"
"I'm sorry, but I don't understand that." She turned over to the stove again.
"I think that I said more than enough to this topic already. It just means a lot to me."
His mom sighed. "Teenagers…" She whispered to herself.
A few moments later his mom was done cooking and walked over to Kyaga with two bowls of ramen in her hands.
"Thank you for the meal mom."
The two practically devoured their meal and were finished pretty fast. "Ahhhh." Kyaga sighed. "So good…"
"Thanks." Smiled his mom over to him.
"When do we have to go?" Asked Kyaga.
"In about half an hour I would say."

"Okay! Imma be ready then:" Kyaga walked upstairs again, and inside of his room.
He threw himself on his bed and sighed. "When I won't be at home tonight Imma be so furious."
He stood up again and walked over to his PC. He turned the monitor on again and saw another news stream about AOS.
[ Show host 1: "Yeah, we also tried to get contact with some of the last VR-Force Players, but unfortunately all of them declined our offer to come to our show."
Show host 2: "That's really too bad, I would've loved to speak to Kyaga, Yakumu or some of the other elite players again, they are all pretty cool people."
One: "But we've got someone else for you here!" He hit his table, fast and excited like a little kid.
Two: "Who could it be?"
One: "Miyoshi Yayoi!" ]
"Miyoshi!?" Kyaga was kind of shook.
[ A small, young woman joined the two at their table.
M: "Hey guys!"
Two: "Hey!"
One: "Hey Miyoshi, nice to see you again!"
M: "Nice to see you, too!"]
'It was really Miyoshi!' Thought Kyaga to himself. 'I didn't think that I would see her again.'
[ One: "That's right guys, we got Miyoshi for you! Former Rank 1 player in AOS and founder of the arguably most influential guild in the whole game: 'The Royal Playground'!"
Miyoshi looked at him a bit embarrassed.
M: "You are flattering me"
She giggled.
Two: "We will ask you some things about some AOS stuff, that we are pretty interested in, and you will answer them, okay?"
M: "Okay!"
Two: "First Question: Will you-" ]
Kyaga was interrupted by the voice of his mother and lay down his headset. "Kyaga, are you coming!?"
"Yeah!"

The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?

Savage Hunters
Giant monsters roam the land Civilization is frozen in a savage age. For the beast slayer Alden, power and survival are one and the same. The ancient evil that once ravaged his village and murdered his ancestors has returned. At the same time, politics hurls Alden and his crew into gladiator pit battles for control of the throne. When Alden takes possession of a cursed sword promising untold power, the hunter is determined to save his people by slaying every giant monster standing between him and the throne. But the angry ghost trapped inside the blade has other ideas. Buckle up for the brutal LitRPG ride of a lifetime Savage Hunters is an alternate-world neolothic fantasy. Characters grow their powers with explicit stat blocks presented right in the text, including levels, attribute scores, and unlockable skill trees. Experience is accumulated by battling enormous monsters the size of buildings. Political intrigue and romance elements ramp up as the series progresses. I originally wrote this story after playing Monster Hunter with my niece. She was 12 at the time, already an avid reader, and wanted to read my other published books. I'm a licensed psychotherapist specializing in severe trauma so I tend toward darker fiction. I told her my usual books are too brutal for her but I'd write her something special. The result was this series, which has been praised by both teens and adults for its depth and universal appeal. It begins with an emphasis on cultural elements because I consulted with a trained anthropologist to craft this neolithic setting down to exacting social detail. After these opening chapters, it rapidly shifts to an action-packed adventure. The first 3 books are fully written as of November 2020, totalling approximately 69 chapters. The first book has been professionally edited already. The following two books require some editing which I'll do on a chapter-by-chapter basis as releases progress. I welcome reviews and comments. Writing is a passion, and reader engagement makes my labor all the sweeter.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. Medieval Terror
[Trickle! Trickle!] Blood… Pure unfiltered blood. Thick wetness of inhumane variety was drowning the contours of my defiled countenance with crimson slick. My warrior’s mien was brutally decorated with the vile viscera and entrails of the dead. Scattered all around me was a large pile of corpses floating in the bloodthirsty puddle of the afterlife. Accompanying my rest within this detestable domain was a rapacious array of lord Beelzebub’s kin. A swarm of black motile embodiment capable of aerial drifts made my bloody appearance barely visible. [Buzz! Buzz!] I was dead yet living, I could travel between the broken realms of existence and meddle with the vengeful souls. Such was possible by virtue of my life that had succumbed to the Lure of Enigma. The bizarre events that unfolded which brought me to this destitute phase of utter dysphoria was a mixture of tales that will leave a distasteful flavour of doleful buds on your tongue. If you wish to know more about my apocalyptic journey then feel free to turn the pages of my undying path. However, I must warn you, inquisitive readers. My legendary tale might cause your weak constitution to become cripple, hence read at your own peril.
