《MMORPG: Dual Cultivation Online》6. What is real?
Ben couldn't believe it at all but what else could explain things?
These bizarre dreams, that weird conversation he had with some imaginary person. He had tried not to think about that night but now it was all that he could think about.
Because he now had a complete set of memories and experiences that did not belong to him.
Well not complete, because he still did not know anything about the 'soul' who tried to take over him, but he knew all the knowledge that person had.
And weirdly enough, it was all about cultivation… so was cultivation real or did one of this game's developers die and then tried to attack him?
Maybe it was real in some other world?
Everything was too confusing and he couldn't tell if the things that he now knew about were valid or not. And even if they were valid… it shouldn't be the same one as the game right?
The game had spirit qi and cultivation and the knowledge bank of the soul also had spirit qi and cultivation. So could he apply this knowledge to the game as well?
That means… his useless body… he should be able to change it?
Before even he could finish that thought, Ben already knew what he had to do and also the fact that his starting stats were not completely useless.
The key was his spiritual root. Because of that unique spiritual root, he had to…
Ben's face quickly started changing expressions… Now he had a way to cultivate but to do so, it looked like he was going to get beaten up!
"Ah! Damn it." He clutched his head which was starting to ache. Too many things were happening and he didn't understand any of them.
"Fuck it. Let me first log into the game and check everything one by one. Whatever. I will see what happens!"

Ben resolutely placed the helmet back on his head and switched on the game again.
He hadn't eaten anything and his stomach was growling in anger, but before that he needed to address this. Otherwise, he felt as if he would go crazy.
He logged into the game and immediately barged out of the door to see the same servant still standing outside. "Call your Master." He hurriedly spoke and went back in.
Just like the previous day, this time also the beautiful alchemy master Shen Yue rushed over. "Master, yesterday…"
She started to say something but Ben cut her off. "Sit down and cultivate again." He directly got to the point.
Shen Yue was confused but she sat down and obediently started practicing her cultivation.
Ben once again caught sight of the knot that was appearing below her throat and above her chest.
He now knew that his gut feeling was correct. That knot was not supposed to be there. Well, it was never really his intuition. It was what he knew in his brain, from the random memories.
And the way to know if these memories were indeed something strange and supernatural and not just him going crazy, all he had to do was to cure this knot!
"Stop. That's enough." Ben spoke. Hiding all of his nervousness and confusion, he tried to sound as confident as possible.
"Do you have pain in your spine often?" He asked.
"Ah." Shen Yue was confused as to how the person in front of her came to know about his, nevertheless, she quickly replied. "Yes, master!"
Ben turned to look around and found some blank parchment papers and a feather brush. He had never used one but he instinctively knew how to use it.
He dipped the pen in the ink and started scribbling everything that came to his mind, a bunch of herbs and then some pills.

"Here. Follow this treatment plan and your cultivation progress should improve further." He declared confidently.
Shen Yue was now even more shocked. She had found this heaven rank cultivation technique by accident.
For someone like her who hailed from a commoner's family without any backing, this was an invaluable treasure, but the technique was flawed.
Even with her experience, she knew it because of the stabbing pain she had to withstand ever so often. This pain made her life miserable and she was angry all the time.
This was why she also got her reputation as a short-tempered person. However, she couldn't stop cultivating the technique because it gave her great benefits.
Without it, she would have never been able to become a Master Alchemist.
So she had been trying really hard to correct this flaw or at least the side effects for a while now but to no avail.
But now this mysterious master who had surprisingly arrived at her doorstep from somewhere was telling her how to get rid of this horrendous pain!
Shen Yue couldn't be more elated. She did not even stop to question the treatment plan for one second.
All she wanted was the pain to be gone, so she thanked Ben profusely and then rushed out.
"I guess… now… I wait for the results…" Ben sat down on the chair and looked outside onto the busy market, patiently waiting for the woman.
There were some other things that he could do now, but all of that had to wait. He first needed to know that he was not losing his sanity.
Time slowly passed and a couple of hours later, his door once banged open and the beauty barged in, fully drenched in sweat, but her eyes filled with happiness and excitement.
"Master! It worked! I can breathe freely now!" She panted out of breath.
Ben gulped and then slowly nodded. Just like he had hoped… the random knowledge in his brain turned out to be correct?
So then how much of it was correct?
He knew what he needed to now do to confirm everything once and for all! But this move was going to be even riskier!
If he did not play his cards right… he might just experience his first in-game death…
Clearing his throat and trying his best to look as calm and composed as before, Ben slowly muttered. "Do you want to improve your cultivation even further?"
