Outside the palace.

A long time passed since Avren has been standing in front of the palace gate. His eyes were empty and his whole body was numb.

Strands of purple black aura were coming out from his body. This aura was so aggressive that it felt as if the space around him was being constantly devoured.

After an unknown amount of time passed, the mysterious aura that awoke him before came out of the palace again, forcing him to come to his senses.

'Damn!' This time Avren was furious. For the second time, this aura woke him from the miraculous state he was in just before he was about to comprehend something extremely important.

'But I feel fundamentally different.' After he calmed down, he wanted to check his body. But discovered a problem… How didn't know how to check his body!

He could only feel the difference vaguely but didn't know the reason. While he was thinking of this issue, a voice suddenly resounded in his mind.

"Sit down and close your eyes. Try to concentrate your senses in your Dantian. By the way, if you don't know, your Dantian is in your lower abdomen."

Avren was stunned when he heard the voice. What was that? The voice came directly to his mind. Could it be someone from the palace? But to be able to speak directly in his mind…what kind of existence is that? Could it be…a god?!

After contemplating for a while, he did as the voice said. He sat down, closed his eyes and tried his best to concentrate his senses in his lower abdomen. Soon he could 'see' the so called Dantian. Inside his Dantian, he saw a strange phenomenon.

He saw two vortexes, one white golden and the other purple black, opposite to each other. Each one has taken a side in his Dantian, revolving slowly. Avren also noticed white golden energy coming from the white golden vortex and purple black energy coming from the purple black vortex.

'This is…Eternal Energy and Destruction Energy?!' Avren was shocked. After the long time he spent in that strange state, he could naturally recognize the Eternal Energy and Destruction. After all, the sensation he got from them was the same on he got from the two words engraved in the palace gate.

Inside the huge hall in the palace.

The red-haired young man who setting cross legged, stood up. His blood red eyes were sparkling, showing his excitement.

"Hahahahaha! After all those Chaos Cycles, you are only a step away from achieving your goal! Old friend, don't mess things up at this stage." The red-haired man continued to observe Avren.

Outside the gate, Avren was still sitting down with his eyes closed, observing the two vortexes in his Dantian. After all the time he spent in that strange state, he had some understanding towards the Eternal and Destruction Energies. One thing he was absolutely sure of is, the two energies could never exist in the same body. Because they were the complete opposite of one another!

But now, in his own body, both existed together!

The two vortexes continued to emit Eternal Energy and Destruction Energy. As the quantities continued to increase, the two energies began approaching each other.

'Not good!' Avren was frightened. If his comprehension was correct, his body will turn into nothingness if the Eternal and Destruction Energies made even the slightest contact.

In his panic, he ran towards the palace and started to knock furiously on the gate.

"Hey! I know someone is inside! Please help me or I am going to die!"

No answer…

While knocking, Avren could still feel the two energies approaching each other more and more. At this rate, they'll only take about 10 minutes to make contact.

"No…no…please…" Avren was still hoping someone will help him. He was sure someone was in the palace observing him. That was because of the aura that awoke him twice and voice that spoke in his mind.

Inside the hall, the red-haired man was observing what's happening outside the palace. He naturally saw Avren knocking on the door.

"Sigh. I can't help you even if I want to. This is your choice and… your last chance. If you die, then you're dead for eternity. But if you succeed…."

Avren continued to knock on the gate but there was no response. After 5 or 6 minutes, he stopped. He finally gave up.

"To think that I would die just after I was given a second chance… How ironic."

"I can't even see mom and sister one last time…"

"Whatever. I was fated to die today anyway."

Then he sat down and closed his eyes and continued to observe the two energies approaching each other.

After 4 or 5 minutes, finally the two energies made contact!

The moment they contacted; another vortex appeared in the middle. This vortex was half Eternal Energy and half Destruction Energy. In the middle of this new vortex, both energies began to blend with each other!

Avren was dumbstruck. Was he wrong? Eternal Energy and Destruction Energy could exist together? And even fuse with each other?! He doesn't have to die anymore?

But…

Before Avren could be happy, in the center of the new vortex, a new mysterious energy formed!

This energy was colorless and invisible but for some reason, he could sense it. As soon as this mysterious energy appeared, a terrifying swallowing force came from it. In the blink of an eye, the entire vortex disappeared, devoured by the mysterious energy.

Avren lost count of how many times he had been shocked today. What the hell is going on? But before he could react, the other two vortexes in his Dantian were devoured as well!

After devouring everything in the Dantian, the mysterious energy didn't stop. It suddenly expanded and enveloped his entire body. Unfortunately, his body couldn't handle it and suddenly turned into nothingness.

In Avren's room, his body which was laying unconsciousness in the bed, was suddenly enveloped by the mysterious energy and also turned into nothingness.
