Chapter 8

We finished setting up Vincent and Lisa's apartment, but it was already late. Mia called her grandfather and he allowed her to stay out tonight. Their apartment has the same layout as mine so Vincent and Lisa had their own rooms. Mia was gonna sleep with Lisa and she wanted me to stay over too, but I told her I'd rather sleep in my own bed. I went back to my apartment and made my way to my bedroom.

I pulled out my laptop and connected the computer in my suit to it just like I did with the supremes computer.

Cyrus:"Where is the nanobot."

I am a collection of science experiments. If I didn't have the suit I'd be dead. The nanobots were part of the first experiment and they strengthened the muscles in my body along with an almost perfect immune system. Once I got the suit I found out I could use the nanobots to track people. A map of Atlantis appeared on the screen with a white star showing the location of Dave Kelly. He took a peak inside my head and I don't like it when people do that.

The location was one of the omegas safe houses. I knew all of them since I took that information from the supremes computer just in case I might need it in the future. I decided not to move yet and watched the white star for a few hours. At about 1 in the morning the star started to move.

Cyrus:"I guess it's time for my reunion with Mr. Kelly."

I got dressed in my usual black hoodie then left and made my way to the park. One problem with my suit is that when I activate it a pulse is sent out a few meters in every direction that destroys all electrical devices. The park is the only place close by that I don't have to worry about destroying any electronics. I rented storage space recently on the bottom floor of my apartment building that I plan to use once I finish putting up the EMP shielding. I made my way to my usual spot.

Cyrus:"Activate."

Once my suit appeared I heard a small explosion. It wasn't very loud so if you weren't close by then you wouldn't hear it. I turned to were I heard it and walked over. There was a small camera that was now on fire. I stomped on it to put the fire out and to completely smash the camera. This was something to worry about.

*Did someone set this up to record me?*

There were no people around and I had something to do so I decided to leave.

Cyrus:"Suit. Where's the nanobot?"

Displaying Location

It was now time to start the hunt. Thanks to the suit I caught up to Dave within twenty minutes. He was being transported out of town in a black SUV and had two more just like it escorting him. I jumped down in front of the first car causing it to slam on it's brakes several meters away from me. The doors started to open and men came out. One was a girl. I counted fourteen people and it looked like they wanted a fight. I was smiling inside the suit and started walking towards them. I could tell a few were afraid, but it didn't look like any would back down. I wasn't heartless so if one decides to run I'll let them go. I no longer need to hide what I look like so a witness doesn't matter to me.

Two men dashed towards me. One started shooting spikes at me that came out of his hand while the other just kept running at me. I easily dodged the spikes, but caught the last one and threw it into the spike guys knee. He fell flat on his face then rolled over on his back. I jumped into the air and landed on his face crushing his head. The second guy tried to punch me and I realized his power was super strength, but that doesn't help very much if you can't hit your target.

I grabbed the arm he stretched out and brought my knee up breaking it. He fell back screaming and clutching his dangling limb with his other arm. I kicked towards his head causing it to explode and spray blood everywhere. I got quite a lot of blood on my feet so I took the jacket from one of the guys I just killed to wipe my feet off. There was blood on the outside of the coat, but the inside was clean so I used that.

The other twelve people seemed stunned and hadn't moved from there spot. They all seemed to snap back into reality when I threw the coat down. They formed four groups of three and tried to surround me. I decided to let them get into place so I stood there and waited. I took a crouched position and they now had three to the left and right, three in the front and three behind me.

I placed my hands on the road as they started approaching me.

Heat Wave Activated

The road around me started to melt and became sticky tar. A few of them stepped in it then fell face first. I jumped forward at one of the men who didn't fall and landed on his chest causing him to fall over. It put so much pressure on his chest that it caved in and I immediately reached out towards the two that were next to him. I tour out there hearts and tossed them to the side then jumped towards another group that didn't fall.

The guy I was aiming for attacked me with some kind of sound wave he emitted from his mouth which caused me to miss my mark. I had to kick off of a man that was stuck in the tar to make it over to sound waves group. I grabbed him by the throat while I wrapped my legs around another ones waist. I did a spin snapping the neck of the sound wave guy and sending me flying while I still had my legs wrapped around the other one. He looked like a rag doll flying through the air with me.

I removed my legs from his waist and he flew a few feet away then landed with a loud thump. I landed outside of the tar area then jumped back towards a guy aiming to tear his heart out. My hands hit his chest and bounced off causing me to fall towards the tar.

Frost Mode Activated

I landed on my feet and used Frost Mode to bring the temperature of the tar back up. The people who were stuck in the tar were now really stuck since it hardened up. The man who's heart I didn't get has an ability like Mia. Unlucky for him I was prepared to fight that ability.

Scale Mode Activated

I covered my right hand in scales and lunged at him and this time it broke through his hardened skin. I took his heart when I pulled my hand out. I was hit in the back with some kind of energy ball so I turned to see the one girl had thrown it.

*That's an interesting ability.*

I slammed my foot down causing the ground to crack and send small rocks flying up. I grabbed a few and threw them at the girl. It was like being shot with a shotgun and she flew backwards. One of the two standing next to her was hit so they screamed out. I severed there heads within a second. Now only three men were left if you didn't count the guy with all the broken bones that I threw earlier.

Flames came shooting out at me so I covered my body in a layer of frost that refroze faster then it could melt. One of them backed away so I thought he was going to run, but he tour off his shirt and started changing. He completely turned into a lion and circled around behind me. The two still standing in front of me couldn't move since they were the ones who got stuck in the tar. The flame user was lucky that he only fell to his knees so he could still move his upper body. The other one fell face first so he had probably already suffocated to death.

The flame user stopped his attack and the lion pounced on me. I side stepped and used my scaled right hand like a sword to cut the lion in half. I then jumped at the flame user before he could continue his attack and shoved my hand through his head. They were now all dead even the man that was thrown earlier. I squashed the head of the one that suffocated just to be safe.

I collected blood samples from all of them then checked on Mr. Kelly's location. He had ran away, but wasn't very far. I quickly caught up with him, but kept my distance since I didn't want a repeat of last time.

Cyrus:"Suit activate nanobot."

Nanobot Control Mode Activated

Nanobot Awaiting Orders

Cyrus:"Infiltrate and destroy brain."

Order Accepted

I watched as Mr. Kelly suddenly stopped and fell to the ground. I walked up to his body and placed my hand on his head then the nanobot transferred from him back into my blood stream.

Cyrus:"I wanted to question him, but it was just to dangerous. I guess I'll have to do this the hard way."

I placed my other hand on his head and decided to use the ability I got from the last memory omega.

Memory Absorption Initializing

I started to see flashes of his life as all of his memories flooded into me. I was confused and disoriented for a few minutes until the suit had time to process all the memories and seal them away. The suit has a certain amount of intelligence and can even run on autopilot which is what I assume happened the first time I met Mr. Kelly. I probably passed out from the shock of having one of my memories stolen and the suit brought me back home.

The suit found nothing I was looking for in Mr. Kelly's memories. I had to leave now since I didn't feel like fighting anymore. I was a little depressed that he didn't know anything. I slipped past all the omegas coming as back up and made my way home. My bed felt really comfortable after a night like that so I slept like a log.Back to Main Page
