《Every Planet We Reach Is Dead》Celebration

Incomprehensible... I find all manner of being to be that. Incomprehensible I say. Ever since I staked my claim on Terra as the Emperor, I've found myself saddened by what the lowly people I rule over continuously do over and over again. I hate them all... I don't want moral ambiguity, I don't want righteousness.
What do I want then? I shouldn't be saying this to any of you but this is how I feel. I tolerate you all, I just do what is needed of me and nothing more. I purposely act as a pawn for there is no other way, the only joy I get is through war it seems. Going into an Organic Miephal and riding it into battle, murdering those who oppose my rule and or cause the deaths of innocents... but I don't care about those who have died, I'm just happy I get to finally fucking rev my Miephal up and tear the others to shreds.
Am I odd? Of course, I am...
Commentaries from the Abyss, Bieanmars Vastmirein Marilao, Fifth Emperor of Terra.

A group of girls still in their Mexe suits cheer with wine in their hands, the princess sitting uncomfortably in the crowd, happy just to be there, but awkward from being out of place, wearing a royal dress. "How was it, Princess? Find us to your liking!?" A young girl with short wavy red hair questions a smile on her face as she dances upon tables.
Faust enters the room and sighs, "Must you all do this every time we finish a mission? This one wasn't even above a level two." Faust isn't wearing formal attire, opting for baggy clothes, and isn't wearing any shoes, Mexe suit still on underneath.
"Come on! We gotta have some fun! We've been stuck doing missions for months after all!" She says, one of the other girls chugging down a barrel of wine.

Faust crosses the room to Velonica, sitting right next to her, "Do you like the Ddjöfulls?"
"I like them but..." The princess pauses, "Do you think I could fit in?"
"A simple matter, it will just take time."
One of the more voluptuous Ddjöfull girls walks over to Faust, slightly drunk and jumping onto his lap, arms wrapped around his neck. He immediately recoils in annoyance, she goes on, "Cyclop!"
Faust sighs, "Get off me, drunkard." Faust keeps his arms distanced away from her bringing his neck back onto the chair.
"You need some wine in your system, Faust! Too stuck up and nice for this world you are!"
"I will throw you."
"Dare!"
Faust puts both arms under her, lifting her up and chucking her across the room, she lands perfectly laughing all the while. Velonica watches, stunned by what had happened. "You actually threw her!"
"They don't care, they're like Viking men who had just pillaged a village."
"Accurate as that may be, it's still a shock."
"Many of these girls have been trained by me but it seems their respect has gone out and had been sucked into a damn black hole."
"Well, when they speak in the ship as they land they mentioned how they didn't want to make you worry."
Faust sighs, "Is this supposed to make me relax?"
"You seem relaxed."
Faust chuckles, "Is that really true I wonder... I find it hard to understand myself sometimes."
"Umm... so Faust."
"Hm? You didn't call me uncle again."
"Uncle."
"Yes?"
"Who is that boy around my father sometimes?"
Faust considers what he should say next, leaning in close to Velonica's ear and whispering something before sitting upright again. Velonica is surprised by what he said but waves it away, moving on.

"Who is the strongest out of all of the Ddjöfulls?"
Faust takes a moment to think and points, "Her, the one in the middle." He points to a group of them surrounding one girl with scars wearing a white Mexe suit, long black hair, clean cut on one side, and a beautiful round face with a scar on her lower jaw. She standing up amidst the crowd and sits next to Faust, leaning against him, she is also drunk. Faust watches and then points his hand to her, "Her name is Kyrie Malahan, also known as Loyalty, she is the strongest and was the first one I had trained personally."
She nods quietly, the princess cocks her head confused, "Is she shy?"
"She doesn't talk much, prefers not to."
"Why is she... clinging onto you like that?"
"The others do it all the time but she sees me as a father figure."
"I don't." She quickly says, almost sneering.
"Holy shit man!" Someone yells entering the room. "Everyone loves Faust huh?" A young man enters, short chestnut-colored hair, crude green in green eyes, scales running across his neck, and almost touching his pointed ears. A Cakas'mirilin.
"First I've heard a Cakas'mirilin not use formal speak." Velonica comments.
"Only royals in your culture use formal speech don't they?"
"Yes, that is true."
"First I've heard of that too! Accept it ain't true, I've heard it from Faust but I don't consider him to be much of a royal, rather he's a respectable man!"
"You said that everyone loves him with spite in your voice, yes?"
"Doesn't mean I'm not one of them who like 'em right? His harem of women and niece all cramped in one room. Niece if naive but jealous since she can't the attention of her father figure while the others salivate at the mouth, most in hea-" A barrel flies into the Cakas'mirilin's face, he drops to the ground in pain, grasping his nose.
"Shut the fuck up Piper!" A girl with short silver hair yells, sitting on the shoulders of another girl with a completely straight face.
"Asshole! It's Pieter!"
"You pipe like an asshole though!"
Pieter becomes red in embarrassment, "What!?"
"That's enough partying for me," Velonica says, a smile on her face. She bows to Faust, "I will see you tomorrow during the exam." Faust nods and Velonica almost leaves before helping Pieter off the floor, whispering in his ear, "Looks like not everyone loves the duke." Pieter clicks his tongue before Velonica runs out the door with a coy expression on her face.
"That girl Duke! She's a clever one!"
"Play the Wayman for me why don't you?"
"Fine." Pieter crosses the room and enters another, taking out a Chapman Stick, also known as a Wayman on Terra. Pieter sits on a chair in the corner of the room and plays.
Faust sighs, looking to Kyrie, "Will you get off?"
"Why do you avoid relationships?"
"Jesus..." Faust rubs the bridge of his nose, "Why have people been asking me this lately?"
"Because I like you..."
"Do not co-"
"I'm not confused."
Faust stops for a moment, not knowing how to respond. "I can't tell you that."
Kyrie clicks her tongue before forcing a kiss upon Faust, storming out of the room. Faust grits his teeth and curses under his breath.
"Jesus Christ, why me man..."
One of the other girls gasp with a smile, "He stopped using formal language!"

Eli is an ancient man sentenced to death for the crime of surpassing the sacred number of 32.8, which is the allowed percentage of increased mental ability from the use of AI chips. As he journeys through death and into a world of fantasy and magic, he finds himself approaching never before seen heights of magical power and ability. Powers that will shape the world and would see him go down in legends for generations ever after. But just because someone acquires magical abilities, that doesn't mean magic is suddenly the most important thing in their life. Some people aren't looking to be all-powerful gods, have the world bow at their feet, or spend their days obsessing over accumulating ever more power. Some people just want acceptance, stability, and the warmth of their loved ones to drive away the cold loneliness of the night. And in a world where magic is the bedrock of society, where magic is what determines who is preferred for siring children, where people with high magical ability are destined to live in great luxury and those without magic simply live to make due, this difference in values and perspective could not have a starker contrast. As Eli and the people around him navigate the misconceptions and deceptions of this world, he will represent a great and magnificent future for the human race. One where humanity will stand above the elves, dwarves, orcs, fairies, and all the horrors of the world. Sadly, men's tools are as fallible as the people who make them, and in a society where the potential of an individual is determined solely through their magical level, this seed of promise may yet turn venomous.
