《Every Planet We Reach Is Dead》Odd Decisions

Deep in the Paranoss Nebula sits a planet darkened black, sun blocked off by debris a thousand, all orbiting around the planet Minia-Bor. Minia-Bor, a planet as cold as Lots'miniar of the Mot'air solar system, the civilization living underground the large planet of Minia-Bor. They are all from Terra who live there but most who do live there remain ignorant of what is outside their planet as ships from the outside come and go for trade since relying on Minia-Bor's materials and life will only bring death to them.
In the underground passageways of Minia-Bor, this is called the Bepes-Marones. Massive black towers reaching the ceiling, holes showing the outside of the planet, lit up by cranes and miners, airlocks by the dozen. Deeper in the Bepes-Marones is called the breathable zone, where one does not have to worry about having to enter airlocks or leaving them, never needing to carry their Li-lotes Grandes and their Hermenes Purtoshes. The deeper depths of the Bepes-Marones's other name is, the Notores Faust. This is where the Cazadores Recolectores, also known as the Hunter-Gatherers.
A threatening artificial presence that lives within the Bepes-Marones - mannequin-like creatures with black tears running down their white cheeks, all of them coming in various shapes and sizes. Deeper is the Lilentes Barboses, also known as the originals. They are humanoid esque creatures, similar in size to Proxy Phrelem. Pale creatures, spikes lining across their backs, vines made of flesh running across their muscular exoskeleton.
These creatures live in environments comprised of upside-down buildings paved in white, electrical wires the size of moons hanging against them, colliding into the electrical grid below, black in color, the stench of death emitting from them.
Commentaries from the Abyss, Ludis Minor, Commander of Terra.

The Gambler sits, strapped in a chair on his ship across from Ren who is wearing a Mexe like him, a completely black Mexe suit with a similar scarf to the Gambler's, instead not wearing pants and using the scarf as a mini-skirt, the rest of it wrapped around her neck, the scarf being slightly opaque. The Gambler puts his face in his hands, "Why did I do that...?"

"Well, even if you were just following the mood, I would like to thank you and I am in your debt. I will do anything as a reward."
The Gambler sighs, "Just be apart of my crew or something, I need more people since it gets lonely talking to an AI."
"I don't think that is sufficient."
"Whatever! I'll think of an actual reward later."
Ren awkwardly shuffles in her seat.
"You should put on the mask attached over there," The Gambler grabs at a small mask at his side and puts it on, "It's to help with the g-force."
She nods, putting the mask on as well. The ship shakes, large booming sounds emitting from the outside as it escapes the atmosphere, finally reaching orbit, pointing towards a warp gate. The Gambler nods to Ren as he removes his mask.
"Will you take care of the rest?"
"Yes," The Ship quickly answers as it accelerates towards a warp gate. "We are being followed."
"Ignore them, we'll warp before they can do anything," The Gambler sighs, "I knew this would happen."
"What do you mean?" Ren asks, taking off her mask, magnetizing her feet onto the ship's flooring.
"They won't be able to catch up but if they do the guardians will murder the lot of them."
"Guardians?"
"That's what I call the things that they have made a law-based contract with. They are extremely powerful so I have no clue what they think they're doing."
"Didn't you win the battle?"
"To be honest, I bullshitted my wait out of that battle. I kept talking so they couldn't process what I said about winning and left before they realized it, I wouldn't be able to cut through the scaly skin of the Cakas'mirilin after all."

Ren gives a confusing expression, a mixture of impressed and disappointed. The Gambler heads to his room before looking to Ren, tapping a cartridge on his Mexe.
"Do you have this? The chemical pumping?"
She looks at it and nods. The Gambler sighs, entering his room. "What are you doing!?"
The Gambler pokes his head out from the doors, "Taking a well-needed shower, you can come in after I'm done."
She nods quietly, looking through the ship.

The Gambler comes out from the shower after an hour, "Ship, could you turn on the translator for both of our suits."
"Yes."
The Gambler leaves his room, taking a small chip from his Mexe and putting it onto his neck, leaving the hallway and heading towards Ren, "You can head in."
Ren raises a brow as the translator activates and a look of surprise comes across her face. "Translator? This suit has a translator?"
"Yeah, it's easier for both me and you, now I don't have to use formal language as well." The Gambler taps Ren's pauldron, "Theirs a chip in this that'll keep the functions of the Mexe going that you can place on your neck," She takes it out and puts it on her neck, her suit laying lazily on her shoulders, some of her breasts are visible. The Gambler looks away.
'I can stop wearing the Mexe like you as well?"
She points at the Gambler's clothes, "The Mexes can transform themselves into normal wear but the normal functions on them won't work."
She nods, correcting her Mexe while walking to the Gambler's room to shower. The Gambler sighs, letting himself float by disabling his magnetism.
"This ship is weird, it has a cortex in the shower but nowhere else?"
"It is so the water does not float in the air rending it useless."
"Yeah, makes sense."
The Gambler looks to his feet, impressed by something.
"This suit is so odd, it feels like nothing is there sometimes."
"You mean the remnants of the suit placed on your feet."
"Yeah."
"It was a good idea but that does not need to be there, the ship could just magnetize you to its ground by itself, without the Mexe's involvement."
"I'll set that then."
The Gambler looks to his Pauldron, removing a thin strip of metal from his feet, as thin as a sticker. The Gambler sighs in relief.
"Having no shoes is the best, though it feels like I'm never wearing anything with the Mexe on."
"I don't think it is the same with Ren's Mexe."
"What do you mean?"
"She does not have an autopilot feature nor the ring features as you have. Her suit would feel as if she was naked if it wasn't for one of her nether regions, that being her breasts."
"Dude..."
"What is wrong?"
"You know how long I've been backed up for, stop."
"Do-"
"Don't... please."
"Yes."
The ship goes silent, the Gambler left with his thoughts.
"One more thing,"
The Gambler shoots up in surprise.
"We are at the warp gate. You can remain as you are but there will be some slight nausea for anyone not in the cortex"
"Fuck."

Is Lucas Destined to Die in the New World?
Lucas imagined himself doing grander things in life; after all, he put in his own blood, sweat, and tears, and got himself a master's degree in English. Maybe he'd be the next best-selling author, or maybe the most popular late night TV show host. However, life didn't give him anything more than a management position at the local burger joint. Day in and day out, he flipped burgers, swept floors, and made weekly schedules that his employees ignored. All he had known for the past five years of his life was pure misery. Then after one night of drunken revelry, he found himself in an unfamiliar world, but he knew all the gimmicks. He knew these stories had quirks he could manipulate- he could put all his stats into magic and become the best wizard in the world, or he could dump all his stats into strength and become a veritable warrior. But once again, just like Earth, this new world seemed to have different plans for him. Instead, he was given a luck stat of 0 and a skill that forced him into danger where there should have been none. Why is this nerdy, magical paradise trying to kill him? Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.
