*POOF*

Suddenly a black kitty appeared in a cloud of smoke.

“Meoww!” The kitty calls out.

Serah's eyes light up like Christmas lights. “Awww! Pretty baby! Pretty kitty! Come here!” She says as she scurries over and immediately gives the kitty some love by petting the cat's soft fur. “Aww! Pretty baby! You're my baby now! Together forever!” She says with delighted enthusiasm.

You have also been granted the Super Strength power and the Call Deity ability. You may view these items in your status window! Good luck! And enjoy your stay!

Serah smiles. This isn’t so bad. I’m feeling pretty welcomed. She thinks, slightly looking forward to her new life. Let’s take a look at what we’ve got. She thinks as she walks over to the chest.

She opens it up and sees a sword on top of a round shield and a set of leather armor.

Serah picks up the sword and swings it around. Hmm, it’s pretty light? Or am I just stronger now that I’m a warrior? Wait, am I a warrior? Why don’t I feel any different? She wonders, before deciding to put on the armor.

She sets the sword and shield aside and begins to put the armor over her clothes. Hmm, quite snug. Enough room for my front buns and my back buns. She thinks, satisfied.

Now, I think the message said something about a status window? She thinks before a status window appears in front of her, as if hearing her intention.

“Hmm…” Serah hums, pondering. Where’s my strength? Or my HP? What about my mana? There’s magic in this world, right? She thinks to herself, a little disappointed. Eventually she lets out a breath. Whatever, we’ll figure it out later. She thinks before deciding what to do next. I should probably figure out how to get out of here. Should I just start walking in a direction? Wait, gotta call my deity I think. Maybe he’ll give me a quest. She thinks before pressing on the Call Deity text instinctively.

She immediately hears the sound of a phone ringing, causing her to raise an eyebrow.

“Hey, baby. What’s up? You called? How’ve you been doing? They treating you right down there?” A feminine voice says, the sound appearing in the surroundings from no apparent source.

“Ughh…” Serah hums, not sure what to say. “Do you happen to be a man?” She asks, with a creased brow. This is going to be seriously annoying if my patron deity is this sort of dude. She thinks with a hint of frustration.

“No, I’m a woman. But I can be the man in our relationship if you want. Do you want to call me daddy?” The voice says, shamelessly.

“Ughhh…” Serah hums again, definitely unsure of what to say. A blush begins to form and she feels a heat from her face. “Anyways, I’m stuck in this forest. Was wondering if you could help me out.” She says, changing the subject.

“Yeah, so there’s a town somewhere near the outskirts of the forest. You should probably head for that but it’s pretty far. There are also two hunters nearby; you might want to ask them for help. But I wouldn’t trust them. It’s a cruel cruel world, baby. But don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Honestly, you should just start killing things. Because of that huge dragon, nothing too dangerous lives nearby. You can just hunt and feed on the wildlife there for a while. There’s a river nearby; pretty clean. I left a rod of fire in your loot box. Just boil it and it should be fine.” The feminine voice says.

“Ugh… Do you know where those hunters are?” Serah asks.

“Unfortunately, I can’t answer that, babe. I can’t just be leading you to other dudes. That wouldn’t look good for me.” The voice says without a care, sounding a little possessive.

“Ughh… Okay… Is there anything you can do for me?” Serah asks, just in case.

“Yeah, there’s a bunch I could do for you. But that’s no fun; not for you and not for me. Tell you what, I’ll watch over your journey out of the forest and if there’s anything you should look out for, I’ll let you know.” The voice responds.

“Ughh… Okay… Thanks… Could you at least tell me the direction of the town?” Serah says, not sure how to feel.

“Go Northeast, my fair lady.” The voice answers.

“Okay... Thanks… Bye?” She says, not sure how to end the call. Suddenly she hears a dial tone, then silence. Whatever. I guess we’ll look for something to eat. I’m a little hungry. She thinks before picking up her kitty and walking into a random direction.
