《Way of the mage?》Ch-31 cleaning up

‘Shit I should find a safe place to practice spell casting.’ That was all he could think before running out of shop. He was in blacksmith’s workshop right now with a dwarf staring at him like he was looking at an idiot.
“You destroy a window and wall and come to a blacksmith workshop? What do u want me to do add some metal plates to your walls and windows?”
“no, no. I came here to buy some nails, saw and a hammer. If I knew where I can find house repairing materials why would come here? Do you know where I can buy some wood to repair window? And where do I buy plasters?”
“It’s not some thing you need to do kid just 2 silvers and I will send handyman to do the work.” It was not that expensive but Austin was not rich enough to throw silver coins for a hole in window and wall specially when they can be repaired with few bronze and little hard work.
He collected address to buy materials from Berit and looked around for Holgrin to ask about his shoes. His tinker was in a room playing with cogs and wheels looking at the blueprint again and again. Upper part of normal shoes was ready at his side only missing piece was it’s sole. Seeing how focused he was Austin decided to not disturb him and walked out of the shop collecting his nails and hammer in his storage pouch for 25 bronze.
“ Don’t wonder around for long kid I hear there have been few murder case happening around the city lately, some even say that cultists are involved so be careful. ”
‘so that’s why I am seeing guards often today.’ He thanked Berit and walked towards his next destination, the famous Rolakan's shop near adventures guild. It was a safe area but the way to get there from where he was, was not so safe. It was evening time so Austin had to be little cautious to not get dragged by some thug again.

Just when he was two corners away from getting out of the alley in a corner he saw a man getting beaten up by 4. one man doing the deed and 3 enjoying the show from behind. ‘why does this happens exactly when I am not in the mood for fights?’ This time Austin just turned and walked a different path and avoided them, taking a long route towards his destination. Last time he interfered cause the one getting beaten to death was Gordon the first person to look after him in this new world but this time no strings attached.
Austin was not a superhero nor he had any moronic sense of justice. He would have jumped if he was confident enough to rob the 4 people, but all were in black cloak and 1 beating a normal looking man around like a doll. Magic? Even in books with 101 ways to die nobody would have tried dying while making geometric shapes and sketches in air. ‘tsk. Smells of too much trouble’. But he did notify the guards as soon as he found them outside the alley.
The Rolakan’s shop looked very ordinary in fact it didn’t even look like a shop if it didn’t have a board. Rolakan was name of the shop owner who looked very thin around 60 years old with blond hair blue eyes. ‘I know I should be polite to the old man but why does a shop owner look so malnourished.’ The shop was big and grand from inside with lots of building materials some even looked very expensive with price tag in lots of gold coins it was a mystery why it looked like an ordinary building from outside.
He bought the materials needed for 70 bronze after saying Berit’s name he got little discount. It cost less than a silver so he felt very good not wasting 2 silver for some handymen. With a smile Austin walked back the same direction he came from only to find a corps of the man he didn’t care about earlier. It seems guards ignored his words completely

The face was unrecognisable with swollen parts and blood all around. It was not Austin’s fault but it did leave a bad after taste in his mouth. The man wore fine cloths and seems to be around 30 years old. ‘sorry sir but I can’t let your life to go to wast... let’s check if I can also get payment for calling guards. He doesn’t look so poor so he must have decent amount in his pocket..’
Austin looked around to check if no one was watching him from shadows when a hand grabbed his legs. He was frightened so he jumped kicking the hand away and fell on his butt. ‘ Fuck! The dead body moved.. no if he moved maybe he is not dead at all.’ The man coughed and Austin came to his senses he took out a health potion and gave it to the dying man. After 2 minutes the man was breathing fine and could stand properly.
he looked around to see if he was safe but only found a frail looking kid staring at him cautiously and a potion bottle in the ground. “Thanks for your help little guy, what is your name?”
“ I am Leon, what is you name sir how did you become like this?” Austin couldn’t trust him maybe the 4 people who beat him near death had valid reasons or maybe he was innocent, nothing wrong with being careful.
“I am Michael a grade D adventure. It’s better if you don’t know any thing about this. if you need help just search for me in the adventurer guild you did save my life, hmm.. consider this you payment for potion.” Michael got up and put a first full of coins in Austin’s hand and walked away limping.
Austin was dumbfounded staring at the limping man and coins in his hands he couldn’t speak a single word. ‘ I guess I should keep more emergency potions with me to help the people in need. But I feel like I have herd that name before.. doesn’t matter.’ with a smile he returned back to Alchemy shop while counting his coins. ‘ 4 silver and 13 bronze. I will really have to thank that generous guy some day. Thank god I didn’t put my hands in his pocket directly.'

Blood & Honey #1
~A Wattys and Fiction Award winner*A lion does not need an invitation from a lamb. That is not the way of the predator. Predators take what they want, when they want it, however they please. And this belief that I am, that evil is, enslaved by the dark night is humorous to say the least. Why would any creator make their pupil inept of withstanding the lighted world when this planet is covered in daylight for half of its life span? No, our Maker did not instill such restrictions for, up here on these earthly lands, we are the gods of prey. ~ Tristan There is only one rule vampires must follow--Bite Hard. It is forbidden for humans to know vampires exist so you can imagine Tristan Darkos's surprise when he finds one that knows what he is. He can tell by the tremble of her body, the thump-thump of her pulse, and her dilated pupils. He's going to have to finish what some other vampire started. The problem is when Tristan gets close to this human his blood turns to fire and the thirst that burns in his throat that should spell her doom twists until he's consumed by another need--one that is evocative, primitive, and...wrong.If Tristan doesn't figure out the mystery that is Kinley Shea Rylan, it is certain whatever dark force her honey blood is summoning forth will be the end of him and, possibly, the end of the world as we know it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Author note: - This is an original work with my take on Vampires.
