《sHe: THE BATTLE OF THE NEW BREED (BOOK 2)》Chapter 18

THE SHELLING HAD STOPPED, a couple of hours ago...
Thousands of Mexican soldiers both women and Intersexuals stood defeated, at their side of the border — after the two days of arbitrary fighting with the enemy from the north...
The eyes of the world were on them — where occident TV networks reportage were in full preparation for the commemorative broadcast the live coverage to the world — of the US victory, with the handing over of the captured Army of God's leader named Doran the Preacher — surrendered into the American soil from Mexico...
The Americans troops were gathering on their side of the border and were having a blithe, victory military parade for the TV crew. Two combat helicopters in the air flew bearing the huge American flags flew across — and some TV crew choppers were doing aerial coverage of Cory's acceded triumph against terrorism — with the capture of the enigmatic AOG leader.
An American Army jeep approached fast towards the Mexican border — US army General Gloria Fields and CIA Senior Agent Tabitha Kinsley were seated at the backseat. They were crossing the border to seal the historical event...
***
At the Oval Office, Madeline Cory, Agent Wolfe and Lucinda Gates were viewing the momentous event on a big screen with split-windows, of live simultaneous coverage — from the several news network stations.
***
The defeated Mexican soldiers turned their back to see a military pickup truck advancing from behind them. Behind the vehicle was an egg-like shaped plexiglass bubble with a metal roof — in it sat the Preacher.
Doran was transported and delivered — like the turn of the century religious figure, in a bulletproof plexiglass pod.
He glanced at the subjugated Mexican soldiers gathered outside, along the roadside. Some of them were crossing themselves seeing the piteous, spiritual leader — passing over towards the border in the bulletproof containment. Some Mexican soldiers whispered among themselves in Spanish...
"He is like 'The Pope' in there."
The US army jeep entered the Mexican territory and it halted in front.
An armed Marine soldier, General Fields and Agent Kinsley then alighted. The Mexican pickup truck too stopped in front of the jeep — and General Miranda alighted with a Mexican diplomatic translator. They both stepped forward to the Americans — and both the brass saluted to each other.
The female translator acknowledged them...
"Greetings! Our Honorary President Garcia has delivered the Preacher as promised. Please sign here." The Mexican pointed the dotted line on an official government release form...
General Fields ignored and brushing the translator aside. She walked to the plexiglass — and glanced curiously at Doran inside it. The General placed on a face recognition goggle and peered again at Doran, who stared intensively back at her — the built-in software configured his face structure...

It gave a positive confirmation — that the definite scar-faced prisoner was the Preacher.
General Fields suppressed a button on an intercom communication earpiece and spoke into it...
"Madame President, it's him — we have confirmation that it is the Preacher!"
Cory delightfully responded from the Whitehouse in Washington...
"Great! We finally have the fucker — now go sign the toilet roll release-form — and get him across."
Cory started celebrating with her early morning glass of gin.
She witnessed the live TV coverage of General Fields signing the form held by the translator, with the coverage by the world news networks. The Mexican Army driver alighted from the pickup truck — and the Marine soldier now sat behind the wheels.
The general and the CIA agent climbed into their open Willys-Overland jeep. They led the way back into the American border — Doran was in the see-through glass bubble in the Mexican truck, which trailed behind the army jeep.
General Priscilla McClain, who was on the American soil, looked ahead into her field-glass, while the rest of the ecstatic female American troops clapped and cheered to celebrate their victory. An army Captain approached and interrupted McClain by pointing behind them. The general peered into her glasses and saw three more US army trucks approaching — with another combat transport chopper flying ahead...
The Army captain enquired...
"General McClain, look! Did we request for additional troops?"
"It must be the old lady — she is a real paranoid nut-case — and must have sent for more troops. Anyway, the more the merrier!"
McClain was humoured thinking of the mistrustful Cory, whom she had dinner with last night at the White House.
Doran observed the advancing trucks and the Chinook chopper coming in perfect timing as promised, while the Mexican pickup truck he was in, rolled on American soil. The Chinook first started to fire missiles, and it directly blasted the other two Army parading choppers off the air. Everyone looked in horror to see both the whirly-birds crashing with the alliteration of explosions — the screaming ground troops were running in helter-skelter...
General Fields yelled out in the jeep, "It's an ambush! We are being attacked!"
The CIA Agent Kinsley who was with her glanced quickly at the glass-bubble...
"We have to secure the prisoner!"
General Fields and Agent Kinsley pulled out their service pistols — and they both joined the ground troops, firing at the rebel chopper...
The three speeding US Army trucks braked nearby and rebel soldiers jumped out — compromising of the Army of God and the Mad Dog's rebels — the Salazar's bellicose guerrilla insurgents have painted their eyes like Zorro — everyone charged forward, firing at Cory's US army of women soldiers...
***
Cory looked with fiery eyes, at the now intense battle at the US-Mexican border that was televised worldwide. She kept repeating the word 'fuck' in a disappointing, infamy tone to herself...

She slammed the empty glass of gin, hard on the table — it shattered and she was still holding it —while her palm was bleeding. Wolfe and Lucinda Gates came forward to her aid — she pealed, yelling at them...
"Get away from me, all you incompetent fools!"
***
Doran thought of President Garcia's magnum opus element of surprise, which seemed to be working well so far — witnessing the American troops caught in the bombshell, as they dropped into the rebels' line of fire — but the cognoscenti Garcia had more surprises installed...
Doran stood up and pulled down a lever on the metal ceiling of the oval-glass bubble that he was in. On top of its roof, a metal circular ring then prodded — the Chinook lowered a cable line, with a hook — which clamped onto the armillary ring below...
The chopper hauled the Mexican pickup truck vertically upwards — while the American soldiers kept firing at both the truck and the Chinook helicopter. The pickup was now five feet off the ground — and the chopper struggled because of its weight — Doran had both his palms at the bulletproof plexiglass while he made a mental estimation, as the vehicle was now hauled twenty feet up in the air...
Two of Hajja's Black rebels were piloting the Chinook. They look worried — staring at the gauge meters on the control panel going haywire. The rebel pilot exclaimed...
"What is the Preacher waiting for — Christmas? Quick man, it is getting heavy!"
Doran projected that the pickup truck was now about thirty feet in elevation.
The panicky Marine driver finally opened the door, and she jumped out of the pickup truck. She died in midair in the hailing bullets, from the ground troops' friendly fires. Her bullet-ridden body thudded face down, on the concrete tarmac road.
The distressed, Black pilot began to panic when alarms went off inside the chopper. He struggled with the control stick...
"We are over-heating — we may all go down!"
Doran gauged the cluster of soldiers firing from below — some armed with RPG joined the rifle firing troops, readying to launch. The Preacher finally reacted by reaching out below — and he pulled the second lever on the floor of the glass bubble...
It detached the clamps that had secured the bubble to the body of the Mexican pickup truck. The truck hurled forty feet down towards the ground — coming straight to the cluster of shooting US army troop below. They now scattered banshee-like screaming towards their safety.
The Chinook survived the bravura discharge, and it was catapulted in the release momentum — the pilot tried to regain control — while the egg-shaped glass bubble rocked under it like a pendulum.
Below, the pickup truck wrecked the roadway — and it rolled before it was bellied-up — its false bottom had slid off. Beneath the truck which had been rigged by gossamer of wires linked to rigged auburn-bricks of Semtex engineered-explosives, with multiple timers that were on simultaneous countdowns...
00:03 — 00:02 — 00:01 — 00:00...
A series of mass explosions ripped off the American military troops on the ground — the Chinook now manures higher up vertically, with the swaying bubble on the hook below. Doran covered his face when he saw flames skyrocketing upwards, streaming towards the plexiglass. The chopper then soared forward — with the bubble passing through the black thick smoke...
The rebels foot soldiers of both the God's Army and their Mad Dog's allies had defeated the rest of US troops with their swift artillery battery. They were cheering in victorious jubilation seeing Doran has transported away towards the nearby hills. Worldwide TV crews were covering the mastermind escaping moment. Even the trounced Mexican soldiers had joined into the euphoria celebration from their side of the border, seeing it as a devious victory.
Their cheering subdued to the alliteration whistling sounds in the skies — dozens of mortars were wafted over. Explosions by the plummeting discharge hit in the American soil. The bearing blasted the ground rebels, and the trucks that transported them were destroyed too. Both the allies' rebel guerrilla armies took severe fatality from the aerial attack.
The surviving groups started running on foot, trying to escape towards the hills...
General Fields had behest for the air missile attack...
She had moments earlier survived the Preacher's Semtex blast attack — beside her laid the severely injured Senior Agent Kinsley, who had lost an arm by that attack. They both were hiding behind their overturned Army jeep that had crushed their driver to death.
General Gloria Fields peeked over and shouted on a walkie-talkie...
"Fire at the hills — they are escaping there!"
More bombs were triangulated and were dropping into the hills — killing more of the fleeing rebels...
Doran in the take-flight glass-bubble glanced below, at the plight of his lament rebel God's soldiers who were scattering for their lives, among the falling mortar explosions — their hands were reaching out to Doran above, to save them...
The Preacher shuddered helplessly — with tears rolling down his face...
He prayed for their safe passage of the survivors in the attack — and followed by an orison, for the newly departed souls of those fallen in the pogrom below.
