《Emperor Who Rules Over The Swords》Chapter 17— Massacre

Unlike last time when his eyes gleamed in coldness as well, this was the first time his control left the body, although he could clearly see everything because his consciousness was there, but there was nothing he could do, be it move a part of his body or muscles.

Cayle almost stopped himself from inhaling oxygen from anxiety. The number of orcs gathering in front of him was increasing every second at a frightening pace. Aren't they supposed to fight?... Even Cayle was confused why they're giving a way for the guard who first saw him.

"Delicious meat, what's your name?" The orc who spotted him as a target before the others did, continued dragging his feet forward, before arriving in front of Calye's position. The distance between the two was just a few meters away.. It seemed like he was underestimating Cayle.

Cayle seemed to notice the enemy looking down on him, and replied immediately, "Probably… We can talk this out..?" Cayle wasn't a man who liked pointless fights. Instead of being a barbarian, he'd prefer to be a neutral one. Although the enemy was a few meters ahead, Cayle didn't dare to launch a surprise attack, to fight them head on, after all he knew that if he did, he'll be outnumbered like an ant gathered to defeat a single opponent of their size. At most, he didn't want to, but if he's forced to, he'll have no choice but to do so.

The motionless face of the orc grinned in front of Cayle. It seemed like he misunderstood that Cayle was acting like a trapped mouse, trying to talk things out.

(As expected…These bastards are the worst.)

Now that I think about it, this is the perfect opportunity to eliminate the threat in front of me…. Although Cayle had been thinking of such a coward thing, he'd rather die than do it…. That was what he thought, however, he was not in control over his body... The mysterious conscious controlling his cold body, charged forward catching the orc with his guard down. The moment he drew out his sword, the blade flew out from its scabbard, before cleaving the orc in half.... Lime green acids flew out into the sky, perfectly dancing along with the demonic figure Cayle currently emitting.

Such a cowardly move… Cayle didn't expect that the mysterious conscious controlling his body would actually do such a coward thing. He felt ashamed even though he's not the one who has done it.

The orcs surrounding him, had their eyes tainted in fears, resentment and grief.. They didn't expect that such a fragile person who had an aura of an apathetic suddenly became a frightening monster….

The giant body of the orc fell down onto the ground, in two pieces. His eyes were cloaked in shock.... Even though it was true he was caught off guard, he never thought he'd die from just a single strike.

The commotion shuddered in terror as they started to be on their guards. The orc who had just fallen by the hand of the fragile human was one of their powerhouse in the entire village, and yet he was defeated in a single strike, how would they not be alarmed... Their eyes were wet in fear as they sent their bladder of glares towards him. If it were the previous generation of orc's who had a low intelligence, there would be a possibility of them defeating him, however since their intelligence has advanced further unlike the barbarian ones of the previous generations, they could feel fears in their heart which gave them the disadvantages to fight an enemy head on.

As the other orcs prepared to bring out their hatchets to fight, there were those who turned their tails to run after their life….

Cayle immediately felt delighted the moment they started running on their feets. Although there were quite a number who chose to stay and tried to kill him, they were nothing unlike the one he had encountered beforehand. Perhaps due to his strange fast growth, he could no longer tell whether the one he had encountered at the forest and them which one was superior. Despite that, from his perspective the one he had encountered at the forest is the strongest one from he had fought so far. Not only did that orc gave him some insights for improvement, it even became part of the foundation of the strength he'll surely show in the nearest future.

When Cayle scouted his surroundings, there was nothing but huts all over the place. Along with it, he had also seen some orcs retreating into their camps, in the face of death… They still chose to return into their beloved home although death was certain if they're seen. Cayle was amused by their strong resolve. .

From afar. He even found those who chose to try escape to the woods, etc, as long as they could stay alive. Cayle hated those kinds of selfish beings the most, that's why he chose to ignore the other orc's who're trying to hold him down, by launching an obvious attack…

At the sight of their retreating backs, an image vividly played into his mind, he could remember the manager from his previous life in them. Just like the manager he had, after he knew that Cayle would be no use from him, he immediately trashed him to the side. That's why, just thinking about it made his blood boil in anger, and felt refreshed from the thought of slaying over and over again the manager he had.

"KAKAKAKAKAKA!!" Cayle laughed evilly as he chased after them. Cold sweats started pouring down on their foreheads as they continued to run despite almost reaching their limits. The sight of it was really pathetic, imagine a giant running away from a pipsqueak, how embarrassing it would be for the giant if he chose to escape from someone who's smaller than him/her. Although he didn't plan to from the start, halfway on it, he started enjoying the sight unfolding before his eyes.

As his figure continued running with full openings, chasing after those escaping scums, a sharp end of a hatchet suddenly arrived into his side. Cayle was sent flying, as he blocked the blade who tried to strike him with an intention to kill.

He lifted up his head, as his bang flew out beautifully, shining in the dark. The cold eyes he was carrying looked around, before coming to halt in front of an orc on his side with a hatchet in his hand.

The orc felt the pressure coming from Cayle's eyes, and almost regretted attacking him. Although he hasn't engaged into a battle yet, his eyes alone were enough to make the orc shivered in fear. Cayle shifted his gaze upon the escaping ones, once he confirmed that it's just one of those who were trying to pin him down, and buy some time. He immediately turned his back towards him, and started running. The orc fell on his knees as the hatchet on his hand loosen up before befalling the ground.

His feets left a mark whenever he went, Cayle continued to run forward with an intent of only chasing after the escaping ones. Truth be told he pitied the orcs who were trying to pin him down, they were genuinely trying to buy some time in order for their other kin to escape, but those ones who they were trying to protect doesn't even spare them a glance, how saddening...

If not for the fact that they were orcs, he wouldn't have killed them, and would have let them escape instead.

As soon he started dozing off, another one came to his way again. The orc which held a hatchet on his hand, swung it towards him. His hand was so fast, that Cayle almost couldn't follow the blade… If not for the fact that someone was controlling his body, he would have died on the spot. If he were the one in control, surely he wouldn't have managed to dodged it, after all, it was so fast that his eyes could barely follow it, despite being special. The body which doesn't feel to be his anymore, moved into the side before dodging the strike. The sword on Cayle's hand gleamed in moonlight, and soon, it descended onto the neck of the orc, sending it's head flying cloaked in lime green acids.

(Why are their patterns all the same....)

Although he was only watching from the eyes, he could easily completely gasp the patterns of their movements in just a short period. Even those genuines from other countries might not be able to achieve such a great feat, that alone makes him so special...

The orcs on his surroundings suddenly came to halt, while the escaping ones didn't even take a glance at the situation unfolding in the center of the village that became a battlefield. Hungers gleaming in their eyes, became wet in emotions, as they swiped away the drools on their mouths.

Some had already succumbed in front of him, while the others never gave up to the bitter end. Cayle continued swinging his sword, as he made his way through and through, breaking through the wall of fleshes.

Whenever his sword went, there would always be death. His sword which gleamed in coldness was soon cloaked in lime green blood. He had slaughtered plenty of them already, that the color of his sword drastically changed into lime green.

In the center of the darkness, there was a king majestic figure flying into the sky with a sword in his hand. He had the eyes of a ruthless king, while his dark hair danced along with his movements.

The orc watching his figure flew out into the sky was in awe, despite facing death in front of their eyes, there was gratitude of being slain coming out from their eyes. The beauty that he was emitting was so mesmerizing, that it left other's to doze off, oftentimes.

After the orcs realized that they had no chance of eliminating him one by one, they all decided to charge at the same time with the hatchets readied in their hands. Although the form was clumsy, from their vast body alone, they were able corner him into the side.

However in the end, even defeating him using numbers didn't work. It only managed to stall some times, for the other's to escape.

Two orcs circled around him, before striking out with the hatchet in their hands. Cayle raised his sword to deflect the other one, while using that momentum to strike the other one. His sword collided with the blade of the hatchet before speeding up, soon, it arrived into the head of the orc on his side, neatly beheading the orc's head.

Weirdly, even though he's not the one controlling his body, he could feel an increase of his lack of fighting experience. His body that was always so fragile, became agile and powerful. He even felt that whoever he fought, he's sure to never lose. Be it a dragon, or an immortal.

The orc kept coming forward to hold him down, it seemed like they had given up from killing him, instead they're trying to buy time in order for their other kin to escape.

(I wouldn't let that…)

However, Cayle refused to let the selfish ones escape from his embrace. They reminded him of his manager in his previous life that it irritated him. The sword in his hand gleamed in resentment, although he had no control of his body, the conscious whose in control was moving accordingly to his thought, that's why he could feel that he's still in control, only in thought.

Cayle scanned his surroundings in an attempt to find those selfish ones who were trying to escape from death. Although their destiny was already written the moment they showed themselves escaping in front of Cayle. They continued to struggle as if there's still a hope to survive.

Two coming from the left…

He had thought that if he killed a few, those barbarians would stop coming and give up. After all, not only were they frightening, he also didn't wish to kill him. As soon he leaped forward to chase after those escaping ones, a hatchet suddenly came flying into his side. Cayle easily deflected it without looking back, before speeding up again.

Unfortunately, the orcs who were trying to pin him down didn't know when to give up, so in the end Cayle was left with no other choice. As soon as the two orcs came forward with a hatchet in their hands with the intention of blocking his way, Cayle immediately held his hand tighter and beheaded the two of them.

If only they were human… There are even some points where he started wishing for them to be reborn as a human in their next life. After all, it was hard to find someone who's so loyal towards their own kin.

As he was in deep thought, two orcs had already arrived into both of his sides. When the orc from his left launched his hatchet in order to kill Cayle, he suddenly brought up his sword before deflecting it.

The orc was momentarily lost in thought, as soon the blade Cayle was holding struck forward and attempted to cleave him in half, however, before the strike could land on a part of his body, the orc suddenly twisted his body mid air to dodged, successfully evading his strike…

The sword strike failed, and the conscious whose controlling Cayle became confused..

(HEYYYYY!!! Don't doze off!!!!)

Cayle screamed out in his thoughts, as he started worrying about his body. If he were killed because the consciousness let it's guard down, surely he won't be able to return into his body anymore...

His body became motionless, as the expression he had feeling showed into his face. The lifeless cold eyes he had, grew in emotion. The white calm expression sitting atop his face soon became ashen, as he stared into his hands dumbfounded. Just what did he do to deserve this. He liked them so much that oftentimes, he ordered his conscience to prevent killing them, however it doesn't just listen to him even when he screamed out in his thoughts.

The orc who's accompanied by the other one who evaded Cayle's strike soon entered his range. Cayle wasn't able to bring back his sword that was stretched out, as the orc readied his hatchet to strike. His hatchet flew out to the sky, before descending the mortal word. Cayle's pupil widened as he watched the hatchet descended onto his motionless body.
