《Emperor Who Rules Over The Swords》Chapter 15— Turning Point

Cayle shivered as the cold temptation flowed through all over his body.
In front of him was a huge carnivore creature, lusting for his flesh.
Despite all that, there was a feeling deep inside of somewhat joyful moment. His heart was beating so fast that he felt like it's going to stop anytime sooner, and all the blood in his muscles were pumping so hard that even he was scared of the changes.
The monster dyed in green, looked ferocious. His eyes were frightening with killing intent glowing in them. The body it had was vast in size, compared to his size, the monster which race was orc were twice taller than he do.
(But still… Why I couldn't feel a single despair deep inside me….)
The monster walked closer from his distance, the orc was dragging it's feet closer, approaching his side. From it's eyes, there was a glint of mockery while looking down on him. On closer inspection, it seemed to be wanting to play with it's prey before slaying it… How cruel.
Before the orc even reached his side, Cayle put a stance as he stood in front of it. His arms and legs trembled for unknown reason.
The blood between his arms growled violently, creating a series of bulking up. His eyes that were filled with grief, narrowed in coldness.
In a while, the distance between the two narrowed. When the orc was a few meters away, Cayle readied his guard and charged forward.
Even though he was sure that he couldn't defeat the enemy in front of him using his current strength. It felt like his soul left his body, and someone took over his conscous.
The fears in his eyes vanished, as the dark looming forest illuminated his figure like a mighty creature. Cayle swung the sword in his hand, as the orc prepared his hatchet to strike. His heavily weighted body became as light as feathers, and evaded the attack. On contrary, as soon as the orc failed his strike, Cayle took the opportunity to cleave the orc in half. At the last second before his blade descended the orc's head, it moved a portion of it's body to the left, successfully reducing damage he'll received…

Cayle wasn't able to stop his attack midway through that… Even though he's in dire danger because the orc was just near him, the strike still flew out reaping apart the tough left arm of the orc.
The orc let out a short cry before looking enraged. Cayle felt his life aged a bit, as his forehead began pouring down cold sweath. Out of all, he even angered the orc. Even though he could tell the orc was just playing around at the beginning, he still dared to severe a part of it's body.
As soon the orc's dark eyes became bloody red, Cayle took a step back. Just like earlier, as soon as he leaped into the side, he could feel his body as light as feathers.
And once again, the orc's attack failed again. However, this time the orc seemed cautious and didn't dive to strike.
Cayle knew that an opportunity won't come twice, so without waiting for the orc he kept dashing backward, evading all the attack he would throw at him.
Left, right, right, right, left.
His attack pattern that gave him hard time to predict earlier became much easier to see. His cold gleaming eyes straightened it's gaze onto finding flaws his enemy had. Not only did he found one, but one at every strikes.
Once the orc strike an attack, there would always be an opening. The opening was kind of obvious but the orc didn't seemed to noticed a thing about it and continued going rampant.
The orc's lime green vast body continued firing consecutives attacks, but every attack he threw would always be dodged by Cayle's fragile body.
As their battle continued, Cayle could feel the improvement it brought into his body. For that reason, he continued using the orc as his practice buddy. Although it's rude to do so, the orc's the only enemy he had as of right now.
Soon the orc shown a side of exhaustion, but in contrary Cayle was still full of energy unlike him. An infinite stamina… He had felt the same feeling when he fought hundred of goblin's in the floor 1, but the feeling he was experiencing to his current situation brought him to tears.

(I am the strongest.)
He could feel vast improvement showing within his line of mind. The battle was intense that he wanted to treasure every second of their battle. As he held the sword in his hand dancing upon the sky, he could sense his power growth in size.
Although he only had a few experience with battling, the strange power flowing within his body made him felt as if he was fighting immortals whose cannot be killed.
Their fight continued for half an hour. The moment the orc's expression turned pale from exhaustion, Cayle didn't dared to embarrassed him any further and leaped into the sky with his sword pointed into the orc's chest. That was for the finale blessing fight, he wanted to end his enemy with beauty by thrusting his sword open through the heart of the enemy neatly.
Cayle descended in front of the orc before the tip of his sword touched the skin of the enemy. The sword passed through it's skin stabbing through his heart. At such a close distance, he could hear the heartbeat of the enemy.
"That was a splendid fight." Cayle retracted his sword from the orc without dirtying him with his lime blood.
The ferocious eyes of the orc lost it's will, before returning to it's black color. Unlike before when his eyes were still glowing showing signs that he's still alive, the eyes of the orc he was in front of lost it life, as it lifelessly stared at his face.
Cayle pitied the orc for some reason. Thanks to the orc he was able to grow a lot. Their battle helped him that he was grateful for it. Despite that, he still had to offer his gratitude, so without hesitating, Cayle bowed his head low, before thanking the orc, "Thank you for the battle!" Even though from the words he used it seemed like he was mocking the orc, the feelings he was showing was genuinely real.
Well, it doesn't matter if the orc appreciate his gratitude or not. Even if he apologized to the orc, that doesn't change the fact, that the orc was a merciless creature who would kill someone just to eat them.
As soon as he finished his apology, Cayle turned his body to leave.
The great orc was left onto the ground with a hole in his heart. His ferocious face never showed fears, and his hand were still holding his hatchet despite losing his life. A figure of a fallen warrior which had lost his other arm left a deep impression to Cayle's memory. He swore that he'll engrave their battle to his mind and would never forget it even after his death.
***
Under a tall dark tree, Cayle decided to take a rest in order to recover.
After his battle with the orc, all the pain and exhaustion he didn't felt immediately entered his body, and he was almost paralyzed. If not for his strong resolved to survive, he would have fallen onto the ground that time and lost conscious.
After holding it for so long, Cayle hid into one of the woods he saw from afar. The wood was tall, so he was certain he wouldn't be found out. Cayle took a breath as he stared deeply onto the fallen body of great orc he had fought. His body that was lying lifelessly onto the ground, carried a huge smile on his face. It seemed like he was delighted about the outcome. Although it was a theory, Cayle thought that the orc knew from the beginning it had no chance on defeating him.
Little did he know, Cayle was really in disadvantageous at that time. If not for the infinite stamina he had shown, he would had ended dead amidst their fight.
