《Dragon's Misery》MAYAN APOCALYPSE

These events have killed me! At last they are at peace and finally Zothra participated in an English language training program and befriended the staff and asked to be trained as a zoo attendant and afterwards to start veterinary studies.
Lothjar, he wanted to become a cook and followed a program to become a restaurant chef. He started as an apprentice at the zoo by cooking the rations for the residents. A bright future.
They discovered their passions with the apprenticeship.
To be emancipated, they had to take a language exam in English and pass psychology tests to prove that they had a sense of right and wrong and that passers-by were not snacks.
I had other problems.
I was walking around the base while the others were forming and my intuition was screaming in my ears that something was wrong. Something was wrong.
I felt a rage against myself and dragons in general, but it was mostly against me and also against my sister.
In my free time I practiced mystical arts and magic with the grimoires I inherited from Mandrake.
One of the spells, hard to master, was a variant of mirror image, an illusion spell.
The spell: changing appearance. Also a very draconian spell. For example, one dragon could pretend to be another. Very useful.
I was in human mode. My hormonal and toxicity issues have been largely resolved. So the toxins and side effects that affected me were eliminated by synthesizing special drugs but I must not abuse them. I still have to keep my dragon shape as much as possible.
I was feeling oppressed until I received a request to summon a certain Ricardo, a paleontologist of Guatemalan origin.
He was on Luna1 and wanted to meet me as I was in charge of World's dragons.

I went to the large park with trees where the dragons rested and hunted more for sport than for necessity and although we have adapted to modern comfort, we keep our traditions and habits.
It's a bit as if we want to keep a country life of hunter with our huts and caves but, back to the social life, we have the modern comfort of the 23rd century.
But let's face it, we love modern comfort like people do now and if we told Razorback to go back to the jungle he would have a nervous breakdown like a teenager with a confiscated game console!
I arrive in a kind of barn made of natural wood with the scent of an exotic park and the pleasant essences of nature.
There is straw in the barn, covered with skins sewn together with strong leather straps, a technique used by the dragons during the covering.
There was also a bar, country style tables and chairs.
It was very comfortable but at the same time nostalgic for Arcadia.
I sat at a table and waited for my visitor.
A small, dark-skinned man, with short, medium-short hair and a moustache, dressed in a white shirt and eternal black trousers and holding a leather briefcase, came and waved at me.
I got up and met him.
Mr. Ricardo! Come, it's this way.
"Eva, Longhorn, Vulcanus commander and project leader of the Outland project. " I said to him as I presented my card.
"Oh, I see you're keeping up these old traditions, but I can't help but admire your gestures."
He also presented me with his map and it was inscribed on its curator, archaeologist and exo-archaeologist.
"Exo-archaeologist, first time I've ever heard that word. Could you explain it to me?"
"Oh, it's just a fancy name for explorer of ruins and curator of alien cultures."

"I think you look lovely, Madam Commander! And I want to thank you for the warm welcome you've given me."
" Take a seat in there!
Would you take anything? Would you like some coffee?"
"I see you're a connoisseur! In my home country, coffee growing is a national treasure. We produce some of the best coffee strains in the world.
But let me get to the point.
I'm here on a mission because the government tasked me to be an outside observer of the Outland project, especially since you use strange creatures called dragons."
"Yes, I love those creatures and they do it to me. They're very intelligent and having access to our knowledge and our culture has allowed them to discover hidden talents. Just because of their size, they're like us humans. A little wilder, but we humans like to jog, they like to hunt and fly."
"But since you seem like an intelligent and open-minded person, I must confess I have another mission as well. (Ricardo)
It comes from my people, which I represent.
I am a leader, a sage of the Mayan culture. My lineage is directly linked to the princes and princesses of that empire that died out almost a thousand years ago.
You may have heard about the end of the world in the year 2000 and other nonsense from 200 years ago now...
This is the ancestral map of the calendar. The one that has been presented to the public for centuries is a pale, uncluttered copy from which essential details have been removed.
In fact, the calendar is wrong. Tradition and knowledge has been handed down in our order for centuries and we are the guardians of the Quetzalcoatl, the great dragon.
Our knowledge comes directly from the lost Atlantis. The Egyptians are also the descendants, the survivors. They, too, had a disk like this one.
But it's only vaguely described. And it's part of a prophecy.
The two discs must fit together.
But the perversity of the Black Pharaoh corrupted the disc and they slaughtered millions of souls in order to call the World Devourer.
He has visited our world in the past and it almost exterminated mankind. A great ice age ensued and only 14 families managed to make it through this terrible ice age. I am talking about an event that took place between 10,000 and 14,000 years ago, the Cimmerian Age.
They almost succeeded and the prophecy tells us that the apocalypse would happen on our date in fact and therefore now and that it would begin with the return of the great scales.
So the dragons!
Our ancestors made counter-sacrifices by offering the hearts of the bravest men to the sun god, the deity of light, the equivalent of Amaterasu.
But when he couldn't come, the devouring god would have laid his eggs in this world until the big scaly ones returned to hatch them and do his dirty work for him."
I'd like to ask the dragons about these discs."

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Avatar: Jǫrðsaga
There is beauty in Chaos and serenity in Order. One cannot exist without the other. Each gives meaning to their counterpart, eternal rivals and eternal lovers. It’s a shame only a rare few ever come to this revelation. Most live their lives trapped in an illusion, their path to enlightenment forever cut off. A lie will forever remain a lie, no matter how sweet it is. I will not turn a blind eye to the truth of the world. It matters not what others think of me, be they family, friends, allies, or enemies. They may call me a monster, a devil, a lunatic even. But I will not bend. I will not break. I will not be forced into conformity under threat posed by the child of Order. Because what is Order if not Chaos’ accomplice? There is only one path worth treading, and I will do whatever it takes to advance forward. For I am Sǫlmundr, Lord of the Earth. Avatar series fanfic. The first volume will not have anything canon. I apologise in advance. It will be setting up the mcs background and origins. It’s gonna be between 60 to 70 chapters in length. The power system in the avatar is pretty non-confrontational. You don’t have to fight for resources like in cultivation novels, so the frequency of his evil acts will be pretty spread out. This is a slow burn novel that I hope will draw readers into the world and slowly build up to whatever the climax of each arc is. I can only promise that he will always be a rational, benefits based mc. No harem. There will be love of some sort, but only because I’m literally forced by the power system to include it. Don’t worry though, mc will always prioritise his own interests first and will not let feelings get in the way. Chapter length: ≈ 2k words Updates: Once a week
