Chapter 14 – Self-Confidence

The air surrounding the old man had become frozen and turn into a multiple chunk of ice. The moment Hira strike him, he used his golden trident to block the icy gale blasted by Hira. But he only successful covered his body. Most of the blast had flowed behind him and a line of frozen icicle is formed, floating on the air. The frozen icicles had actually extended more than 500 meter!

When the old man saw this, he immediately became worried that the group he left might get affected by Hira’s attack! This is because one of his family members is in the group! He would obviously not care about it if there’s only stranger, but his own blood is in the group! This had caused him to become agitated and turn his head behind. Then he activated a special skill on his eyes and finally release a relief sigh. The skill he used had let him to increase his eyesight and can see everything clearly from two kilometer! He saw the group is safe and it seems they are able to avoid the icicles on time. He turns his face back to the front and glare at Hira with a frightening killing intention.

“What? If you can do it, does that mean I can’t?” When Hira saw the old man glare, he become irk and spit a provoke sentence to him. He already know about the group behind the old man, so he had control the amount of water and wind elemental essence to barely avoid them. But why does the old man become too panicked? Hira become a little perplexed when he saw the old man become so agitated just because his attack had almost reached the group. Is it possible there is someone close to him in the group? Or is he just a justice pursuer?

Justice pursuer? What a joke, he had just ambushed me shamelessly!

“Tell me what is yours purpose coming to Ilsiya immediately! Or you want me to cut your head off first!?” Because of Hira’s sarcasm tone, the old man truly became irritated and wanted to kick his ass off. He doesn’t care about capturing Hira anymore! This brat almost injured my precious and only one granddaughter! If there even a scratch on her body I’ll mince your corpse and feed it to a stray dog!

“Ahahaha! What? You want to cut my head of? Ahahahahaha!!! Come and try then you old dog! I don’t even think you would be able to capture me!” When Hira heard the old man threatening sentence toward him, he almost wanted to laugh until his stomach exploded. Just how much confidence does this old dog has? Even though you’re at peak-Nirvana realm, do you really think you can kill me? Don’t even think about it!

The old man’s head is full with bulged vein because of Hira, this is the first time in his life a youngster become so rude to him! Most of them would tremble with fear when they saw him! Even the best genius in his clan would bow down to him respectfully!

“You’re really asking for it kid…..” Even though Hira’s performance had undoubtedly shocked him, and the strength that Hira had shown is tremendously powerful, it is still not enough to threaten the old man! He had only used 40% of his full power, and still haven’t goes all out. That is why he has a very high confidence in dealing with Hira. And he still thought Hira as a mere brat with a high cultivation base.

The old man waves his left sleeve and produces a blue orb within it. He then grabbed the orb and let it float on his palm. The moment the orb appeared, his golden trident had actually slowly turned into a mist and coated his back. He silently muttered a few scramble words and the blue orb suddenly shine brightly enveloping his whole body!

When Hira saw this event, he immediately increases his guard and form an icy-gale armor for his lower body. Right now both of his arm and lower body are covered with icy-gale armor that unceasingly produce water and wind elemental essence!

Slowly, both of the elemental essence had combine and formed into one essence, the ice essence! Before this, Hira had only use one type of elemental essence and use them both in a multi-tasking way, just like his first battle with Alexandria, he had never combines his elemental essence and only use it simultaneously. But after four years, he had achieved mastery on reading the flow of elemental essence and allowed him to fully control the essence! This had caused him to be able to arrange and manipulate his essence as he like and combine his elemental essence in many different ways!

The icy-gale armor had actually turns into a crystallized armor on both of his arm and lower body! The ice essence also formed a crystal chin-guard to covered Hira’s jaw and chin. He looks like a formidable gladiator with his crystallized armor!

Partial Elemental Overlord Armor, Crystal Form!

His Elemental Overlord Armor has been improved and he doesn’t need to activate his spirit to use it. Different from four years ago, Hira can now form a solid object with only the elemental essence and doesn’t need to form the Shapeshifting Armor and infused it with the elemental essence first. And he also doesn’t want to show his spirit easily because of the hidden danger that can be attracted. Even the guardian of the legacy realm had warns Hira to only use his spirit in a peril situation. He should wait when he reached the Spirit King realm before he can use his spirit leisurely. The other factor is that, his spirit consumed too much mental energy and can causes him to become tired so fast. This is a very bad disadvantage for Hira.

After finishing his transformation, Hira form a straight ice blade on his right hand and slowly form a battle stance while waiting the bright shine on the old man body to dimmed down. If possible Hira would want to immediately attack the old man, but how can this old dog deliberately give him an opening? There must a hidden defense mechanism on those bright shine!

After a few minute of silence, suddenly, the light enveloping the old man body dimmed down and five pure white javelin appeared and thrown toward Hira!

Hira’s eyes shine brightly when he saw the five white javelins! Each of them actually contains a huge mass of mana essence that has been carefully condensed! The width of each javelin are very thin and it appearance are very sophisticated! Hira immediately drew his straight ice blade and perform a wide slash in front of him. This time he can’t take his opponent leisurely! Even if the old man is only at peak-Nirvana realm, he is still an opponent that Hira can’t take care easily! Though, he can escape from the old man easily with his Hidden Sea Summer Step.

The wide slash Hira create had produced five crystal spikes that were condensed from Hira’s ice essence. Contrast to the white javelin, the crystal spike is much wider but has a shorter length. From the wide slash, all five crystal spike shot off toward the opposite side of the white javelin! All of them collided and create a huge shockwave around!

Not missing this moment, Hira immediately blast off from his position and sped towards the old man! The shockwave has leave white mist on the surrounding this had cause both of Hira and the old man sight to be blurred and covered. In this condition, the one who do the first move would obviously have the advantage!

Hira’s speed is increasing in a frightening rate! Each of his step and movement has leaves a streak of icicle and wedge of ice! When he almost reached the old man’s position, he immediately clear the white mist with icy-gale with a wave of his left arm. The white mist is cleared, but Hira’s expression become bewildered when he can’t see the old man figure!

“Where….!?” Hira instantly increase the amount of wind essence on his outer skin to scan the old man where about. Different from fighting on the ground, Hira can’t use his earth essence to sense a lifeform on air. But he has an alternative method, by using the wind essence! In a way, both of the method is same, but using wind essence is different from the earth essence. It is because of the random properties of wind essence that caused it to be a little bit unreliable when it comes to sensing lifeform. Hira can only vaguely predict the old man location by using this method rather than the latter which it gives an immediate response.

Above!

*Shoom!*

A gigantic pure white blade suddenly appears above Hira and it appeared to be striking toward him! All of the cloud around the blade are being cut off and cleared in an instant! Above the gigantic blade, there is the old man who is standing with a proud demeanor while looking down everything below him!

“Mythical Cut! Let’s see if you can counter this technique brat!” The old man loudly roared with a penetrating voice. He has let out 80% of his power and has a very high confidence in this technique! There is almost none who can block his technique in the whole Ilsiya continent! Only few are able to block it and most of other Nirvana realm practitioner would be heavily injured with it!

But different from the old man expectation, Hira only chuckle when he finished his grand performance. This brat….does he not even felt threatened!?

‘A-ahahahahahah! Oh man! That was gold! You call it Mythical Cut?! Ahahahahah! Gosh! This is not “Mythical”, it’s only a pure mass of mana essence you old dog! Don’t make me laugh! Even the law energy in it is so low that I can even barely sense it! I’m afraid your old age might already give you a forgetting disease, try to flip the dictionary back and find the mythical definition before you named your skill! Ahhahaahha!” Hira’s chuckle slowly became a lively laughter and it rang out on the whole area that caused the old man’s face to be as red as tomatoes.

The old man head are full with bulged vein that it already turned into purple color! How can he analysed my technique easily!? Even though it’s only a lump of pure mana essence, it contains a huge amount of it! It already enough to threaten a trifling cultivator like him! But when he heard Hira mention about law energy, he is thoroughly shocked. This mean this brat had already comprehend some part of a type of law!

When the old man examined Hira, he felt that it is not surprising because Hira’s techniques are all completely related to elemental law! At first he thought Hira had condensed every part of his armor and skill with mana essence, but the quality of the essence that is used by Hira is immensely different from the mana essence! That is why the old man has so many doubts about Hira’s method. But how many law does he had comprehend!? He had already shown the Law of Water and the Law of Wind, is it only two? Why do I has this uncertain feelings…..

Before the old man can retort back to Hira, the next sentence come out from Hira mouth completely shocked the old man.

"Well I can’t really do a real “mythical” yet, but let me show you a real Law!”
