Percy's POV

As we were charging our way through people with me riding Adam's...back, I leaned forward a bit and noticed him frowning,

"What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Nothing, It's fine"

"It clearly isn't, speak to me"

"When I was in your head I saw something, I don't know what it was but it was calling for me from behind the tree. Hiding it's full body even though the tree did next to nothing for it. Percy do you know what's inside you?"

"I'm sorry, I really don't know. When I woke up beside you I knew it was because of me but I don't remember exactly why." I say while getting off him and deciding to walk instead, in reaction he puts his arm around me when I stepped too far for his liking

"Bit possessive aren't you?"

"You're mine, you aren't gonna get out of my sight that easy" he grins to himself while looking down on me, knowing he could damn well overpower me whenever he wants to.

"It should be this room on the right." Adam making a tight turn and opening a grand door while placing his hand along my back and tapping me foward

"I smell an unmated Luna" Thomas jokes and immediately makes me smile at the recognition that he's alive

"THAT'S MY STORY TO TELL YOU APE!" - Percy

"Well that's good to know even your throat seems a bit too healthy" - Yasmine

"Know what? Adam I don't wanna see these people I'm satisfied now. Can we go?" I pout while pulling on his shirt looking for some kind of recognition.

"I'm sorry baby, they're right and you know it. I can fix that though!" He so happily says while lifting me way too high and then back into his chest

"Okay okay but it's gonna be a secret yeah?" Hushing it into his ear but failing to remember the super sensitive hearing of a wolf and looking over to see Yasmine and Thomas smirking at each other. "You two disgust me, die"

"I almost did die I have you know and all cause I was trying to save your fatass, what would you do without my sweet embraces?" - Thomas

"I'd have room to breathe, and extra room in general back home." That last part not clicking, I realise that I'm going to be the Luna here...I won't be able to go back home to stay. I'm gonna have to leave Thomas and Yasmine on their own.

"Adammm can they stay here?" - Percy

"It's entirely up to you pup, although Yasmine being the delta may be a problem if she were to come over here." - Adam

"Are you just gonna keep calling me different nicknames?" I ponder at the new one

"Yep, so far I've got little monkey, little one, little sheep-" I cut him off and jump up to close his lips for him

"Little, little and little...hmm what choices I have here. Don't tease me too much with the value behind them all, I'm only like...just under a foot smaller"

"Alpha genes truly are a cheat code huh" He completely ignores my monologue as he walks over to Yasmine and sits on the bed beside her, "HEY! I WASN'T DONE" I exclaim and he quite literally covers his ears and pretends not to hear me.

"Yasmine, you mentioned you came from a cursed zone. Point to it on this map"

"About...here?" Her finger shaking at just the remembrance of it

"He said to come back once Percy was awake" Thomas adds on

"What do you mean he?" Adam's head slowly turning to face Thomas with pure interest in his facial expression

"I...don't know. The voice sounded deep and he spoke slow and calm despite the raging storm surrounding us."

"Well I don't know anyway to say this other than, there isn't a cursed zone there. I've been to that area personally and I haven't seen anything. Cursed zones can't just appear, I don't think so anyway." Adam speaks while sounding conflicted with his own words, probably still in doubt of learning about the existence of other Gods and not just the Moon Goddess.

"Man ever since we left the pack house we've just been seeing abnormal after abnormal...Lucas" Yasmine mumbles but continuing to fiddle with the sheets of her bed

"What do you mean abnormal?" Adam asks with curiosity

"Our young friend...we just met who was guiding us to the Moonlit sky. He had an additional gift of fire but cause he wasn't from Daybreak his body had an incompatibility with it...and his sister got killed by the humans. But he used the power knowing the consequences and bless his soul, fucked them up perfectly." Yasmine tells the story while a little gleam in her eyes lights at the thought

"Burdens? I've heard of the concept before however, even if a wolf were to go past their limits I doubt a child would be able to release such a potent amount of strength" Athena walks in, intruding on the conversation

"What do you mean?" I ask her in anticipation

"Anyone can absolutely pass their limits despite an incompatibility and emit an extraordinary amount of power past their usual amount, but to take their own life as a result? There was something more to that we don't understand yet."

"Bu-" Yasmine being interrupted by Adam and Athena suddenly dropping to their hands and knees.

"What's wrong!?" Running over to Adam who's visibly shaking

"MY FUCKING HEAD!" His golden eyes revealing themselves as Athena begins screaming on the floor in pain.

"FUCKING TELEPATHY!" Athena screams out while getting up and running out the doors with her hair wrapped around her head

"Can you guys help carry him? I'm gonna chase after Athena"

"Percy...don't...get in her way" Adam warns me without a malicious intent but I can't help but feel threatened by it. "I won't!" I breathe out while sprinting towards the doors. What does he mean by that, Athena wouldn't do anything irrational just based off the short span I've known her in...yeah I barely know her actually.

Faintly smelling her I follow the trail until a familiar scent hits me, blood.
