Percy's POV
"Attention everyone"
A sudden voice caught all our attentions as the room silenced in order to pay respects to our Alpha, Keyon. "I would first like to talk about the event that occurred two days ago to one of our pack members. I was informed by our Beta that not only one, but two rogues were present on the special day we held for our pups to shift for the first time." Shifting in my seat uncomfortable at the gaze of some knowing people falling onto me in wait for Keyon to mention me, but I guess he's just going to drag it on for a bit for whatever reason.
"Luckily they remained unscathed as our brave pack member Percy! Guided them into safety and in turn caused them to focus on him, as it breaks my hurt to mention he was terribly hurt as a result and was rushed to the pack nurse for immediate healing." He continues in a soft and gentle tone, gathering some awws from the pack sluts hording in the front as he flicks his long black hair out of his natural blue eyes. Speaking of pack slut, incoming the Queen of them all-The Luna. Minerva comes spinning around his legs like a snake coiling around it's meal, everyone knew she didn't actually love him unconditionally as a mate would but he just had to sit there and take it. Because an Alpha can't become a true leader without his mate, unfortunately for Keyon his true mate lost her life just before the previous Alpha disappeared. Since then he just hasn't been himself, his true yellow eyes that should be burning gold like the sun just dulled out into a diluted mixture of sadness and emptiness. Maybe the Moon goddess can bless him with a new mate one day and revive his lost soul, but not everyone get's two mates in a lifetime.
And now you're aware of why this pack doubts his leadership and I can't blame them. "Continuing on, I would like to assure everyone that this event will not happen again as guards have been increased in that region of the territory as well as increased patrols." audibly hearing the cinders in his voice struggling against the cold wind in his mind fighting to continue on with his duties, it pains me to hear him try so hard for us. "Concluding this announcement I'll like to praise all of you for your hard work in making this pack a true family, so thank you for everything", before he could walk away, everyone began to applaud him and help give that boost he needs...until that viper turns him around for a deep kiss, sucking all the attention (and probably his soul) onto herself.

"You guys call that an applause?? HARDER, CLAP HARDER FOR YOUR KING AND QUEEN!" Minerva curses out into the canteen full of now unwilling and scared members. Her plain near pitch black eyes turning a deep hazed purple eyes as she glances over everyone, "Fucking love me, all of you. I am your queen, there is nothing else to love but me" as she walks around Keyon in a drunken state, spinning around him like a fly caught in her web, believing there's beauty anywhere left in her.
"Please, everyone you can go back to your celebrations or daily duties now" Keyon dismisses us with a look that's almost a cry for help as he steps down back through the doors he appeared from...and the rock Minerva slithered from. They say touching someone sexually who knowingly isn't your true mate can feel like acid burning through your skin, and I can see it wearing down on him emotionally. "Sad. Alone" I hear squeak next to me, only to turn around and see Kevin looking towards the Alpha.
"What do you mean by that Kevin?" - Percy
"I see it" - Kevin
"That's really observant of you Kevin, I'm happy you're growing up so fast!" I pat him on the head in approval, apparently positively reinforcing children makes them do better the next time, even if the first time wasn't too good. Yeah I read books filled with random facts...probably too many.
"Food" Kevin states while pitter-pattering away with his small feet along the wooden planked floor
"I guess we have more work to do now so I'm gonna head off, see ya next time Percy. Try not to have two males fighting after you again haha" - Mercy
"Can't help my presence is just so irresistible to others, now can I?" Raising my eyebrow at her for our stupid jokes.
'Alright where to now...' Thinking to myself as I really had nowhere to be for a while, maybe a nap after my 2 day long coma should suffice for a distraction.
-
Heading back to my room..."I'm lost. Again"
"I swear to god this house hates me or something, my goddess please just grant me the gift of direction in this place cause I'm gonna have to start leaving a bread trail or something" Mid monologue I bump into something hard and...humming? I begin to fall back from the force but something stops me, yeah no this wall has arms. It's my only conclusion and only one I will accept, fight me.

"Oops, my bad Kid" hearing him groan as I'm being held against his chest and slowly brought up to eye level with him. "Hey uh, you didn't hurt yourself just then did you?" he speaks again, finally drawing my connection to his face which I wasn't familiar with, his scent too wasn't clicking to me so I had to ask.
"Who are you?" - Percy
"Not even gonna answer my question when I'm worrying for you? Haha I'll play along. I'm Alex, Alexander if you wanna be specific." He grins to himself almost proud of his own name, hey you can't hate the guy for having confidence so I'll give him that much.
"You're not from this pack are you? I was just in a room full of pack members I didn't recognise most and I admit that but, you stand out too much"
"Oh boy looks like a smart one has appeared. Lemme just show you instead of explaining" he says while pressing himself against me and looking straight down into my eyes. To my surprise but ultimately calculated guess, from the rare green hue in came the Grey like a rock thrown in the pond it kicks up dirt and swirls around in his eye till it stops at a dark shade.
"A beta?" spiking my curiosity, I'm assuming he was invited here cause...'otherwise this would be a breach of territory'
"Yeah I was called here, don't mind me honestly" He uses his hands to gesture a peaceful manner
"Cool" and with that I kept walking
"Waiiit! where the hell do you think you're going? I wasn't done speaking, it feels good to speak out loud once in a while" Alex says, gesturing to his lips as if his face feels stiff or something
"What do you mean?"
"Smart one, you're losing points rapidly here" He states which adds to my confusion more
'I just wanna nap, no offence though cause he seems nice' The thought sliding through my head
'He hears you, dumbass' - Crest
'What?' I reply
Suddenly my attention is drawn to this man in front of me who's...patiently listening? He begins to point to his head giving me hint.
"I forgot you people existed" Slapping myself at the pure stupid episode I just had
"Yeah! we get that a lot no worries. But now let me actually introduce myself. I'm Alexander, Beta of the Rainmakers pack" He begins to show his authority in his tone as our guessing game ends.
"What did you mean by "Speaking out loud feels good for once", it's killing my curiosity"
He chuckles and explains that in his pack they don't communicate verbally, it's all done telepathically. I remember reading a book in the pack library on Rainmakers, supposedly their entire territory is filled by a never ending torrent of rain that comes pouring down. Guess that makes it easy to identify intruders cause it'll be impossible to hear each other without the telepathic gift...god am I so jealous at their whole other world of living.
"Now that you know who I am, I hope to see you again sometime, maybe even introduce you to some of my pack's members" he says as he extends his arm into the air to wave at me
"Oh that's a definite dream, I won't keep you waiting too long" Walking off into different directions of the pack house. 'I wonder if other territories have something similar...' I start wondering off into thought.
-
"Oh, that's my room. HELL YEAH I DID IT, ON MY OWN!" Jumping up to the top door frame slapping it in success.
"Percy, you're aware it's literally night time now right?" Thomas gestures to the now pitch black night falling back and laughing at my short lived celebration
"I...do not want to talk about it" pulling down the skin on my face in aggravation and admitting defeat to this living mansion. I sigh and the moment my face flops onto the pillow I get knocked into a well deserved dream of peace. House 1, Me 0.

Battle Royale across the Universe: The Species Tournament
Join the Species Tournament! You might lose your sanity, and quite possibly, your life. But hey, great adventure awaits. Who would accept such a deal and risk it all for glory and the unknown? Well, apparently quite a few. In fact, 1.000.000 life forms will face each other in this century’s tournament. Who will win and who’ll be sent packing? Who will gain strength and who’ll leave with trauma? Find out on this week’s episode of the Species Tournament! ................................................................................................... Additional notes (for those who want more details before giving the novel a try): - It’s a battle royale type of setting between humans, pixies, elves, and dwarves organized by a Television Channel from the Demon World. - The MC foolishly decides to join the competition and will struggle to redeem himself throughout the story. The unfolding events will force him and his friends to mature in different ways. - Each round will be held in a different location/planet. The rounds and the locations will become crazier as the plot progresses. - There will be a mystery aspect to the story, since the demons don’t really like spoon feeding contestants on what is going on. - You can expect some magic elements, though contestants won't have much access to them. - The members of each species will have their own unique worlds, back-stories, motivations, and traits. Some will fight for personal reasons while others for the sake of their people. The needs of many vs. the needs of the individual will clash on several occasions. - Finally, there will be twists and turns at every corner, so one should never get too comfortable. Thanks in advance to all who read my story, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
