On his way to rendezvous with Ringorne, Brayno met up with Ulmar. Together, the two looked for Lakish, since he is the one who usually don’t read the messages addressed to him. The two travelled across the road, fighting bandits and other outlaws in their search. They went from town to town but were unable to find him.

“Where could he be?”, asked Brayno.

“Hmmmm…. I think I know where he is right now.”, said Ulmar.

“Alright. I’ll follow your lead then, Ulmar.”, said Brayno.

The two of them went to the town of Quanxo.

“Quanxo? I don’t know why he went back there?”, asked Brayno.

“Despite everything that happened, Quanxo is a very special place for Lakish. He and Angela met Fang at that place.”, said Ulmar.

“Oh, now I understand. If I’m going to guess, he stays at an area near our meeting place.”, said Brayno.

Brayno led Ulmar to a small bar in the town. It was named Mouse’s Hub.

“How do you know this place?”, asked Ulmar.

“Me and Ringorne would stay here from time to time.”, said Brayno.

“So the two of you were drinking when you found Angela and Lakish?”, asked Ulmar.

“Well of course.”, said Brayno

“I didn’t take Ringorne for a drunk.”, said Ulmar.

“Well, he was younger at that time.”, said Brayno.

“I just can’t imagine that. Hahahahaha.”, said Ulmar.

The two went inside the bar, and there they saw a multitude of people. Bounty Hunters, Outlaws, Mercenaries, Merchants, Sorcerers and other travelers were at the bar. Once inside, the two asked the bartender if there are any rooms being rented at the bar. The bartender answered that there are indeed rooms at the upper floor of the bar, but most of them are unoccupied.

“How will we know where Lakish is staying?”, asked Brayno.

“Perhaps, we need some luck here.”, said Ulmar.

“No need.”, said a voice.

The two of them looked around and saw Lakish standing right behind them.

“Hahahahaha. You surprised us.”, said Brayno.

“How’s my nephew?”, asked Lakish.

“He’s fine. You can always visit us. Angela misses you.”, said Brayno.

“I’ve been too busy being a mercenary lately. I will visit you and Angela though.”, said Lakish.

“She does expect her younger brother to visit her from time to time.”, said Brayno.

“I know, I know.”, said Lakish.

“Anyways, were here not to simply chat up with you. Our leader is calling us.”, said Ulmar.

“A letter?”, asked Lakish.

“Yeah. Did you receive any?”, asked Brayno.

“Oh, wait, I’ve just received it a while ago.”, said Lakish.

The young assassin went to one of the rooms in the bar and took out a box. Opening it, he showed the sealed letter to the other commanders of Fang.

“It seems that I was invited as well by Ringorne.”, said Lakish.

“That is what we are trying to tell you.”, said Brayno.

“Sorry. I forgot to read about it.”, said Lakish.

“No problem.”, said Brayno.

“Well then, gather your items, we need to go to Ringorne as soon as possible.”, said Ulmar.

Lakish then went back to his room, and gathered his items, ready to join Brayno and Ulmar. The three went back to Halman. They gathered together at the Cow’s Grave Tavern, hoping to see Ringorne or any message from him.

After a few hours, someone went to their table. When Brayno looked at their server, he recognized the person. Whispering to the man, Brayno asked him,

“Are you a member of Fang?”

“Of course, sir Brayno. Master Ringorne is summoning you to a cave right outside the town of Jiannu.”, whispered the server.

“Alright. We’ll take the strongest beer you have. The three of us would also like 500 pounds of beef”, said Brayno.

“Will do.”, said the server.

After he wrote the order of the trio, the server quickly and quietly placed a small piece of paper in the table, with only Brayno, Ulmar and Lakish noticing.

After finishing their meal and drinks, the three looked at the small paper. There they realized that they would meet with their leader at the cavern of Kalegort. The small paper also contains the directions to the town of Jiannu.

The paper also contains the name of Garowze. It mentions that Garowze has given shelter to Ringorne and has assisted in training him and Binshil.

I hope this Garowze is a trustworthy person, thought Brayno.

“Before we head to Jiannu, I need to bid farewell to one group.”, said Ulmar.

“Alright.”. said Brayno.

Ulmar went to a large building in the town. While the big man is away, Lakish turned towards Brayno. With a worried look on his eyes, Lakish simply asked Brayno,

“How is sis? Is she alright?”

“She is fine. She and Carl are safe and sound in the village of Caltron.”, said Brayno.

“Good to know. So, how is being a father and a husband?”, asked Lakish.

“Being a husband can be really hard, but it can also be a fulfilling life. Seeing your wife smiling and happy is worth the hardships in life.”, said Brayno.

“How is baby Carl? Does he tire you out? Travelers would always complain about babies tiring them out and lessening their rest time.”, said Lakish.

“He is a handful, but the two of us can handle him. Hopefully…”, said Brayno.

“It’s nice to know.”, said Lakish

The two reminisce on their time together during the height of Fang, and how eventually, they would go on their separate ways. Brayno in particular realized that his time as a Fang commander is limited, since he has a family that he will take care of. Lakish on the other hand, wants to explore the world on his own and would try to get stronger.

“I guess we would outgrow Fang at some point in our lives.”, said Brayno.

“I know. However, Fang needs us. At least for now, we will help Fang.”, said Lakish.

“Yeah Yeah.”, said Brayno.

“Can you promise me one thing?”, said Lakish

“Sure. What is it?”, said Brayno.

“Please don’t hurt my sister. Make her happy, don’t make her cry. She needs all the love in the world. She took care of me when I had nothing. I know you are a good person, and I know that my sis made the right choice in marrying you. Please, take care of her.”, said Lakish.

“I will. Angela is everything to me. I will never harm her.”, said Brayno.

“I am going to hold you to that promise.” said Lakish.

“I promise it then.”, said Brayno.

As the two shook hands in recognition of the promise made by Brayno towards Lakish, Ulmar returned to them.

“Hahahahaha. They are such crybabies, but they’ll be fine. Ulgar and his men are strong enough to guard this town.”, said Ulmar.

“Ulgar?”, asked Brayno.

“Ah, he’s the big guy over there. He usually guides people through the Amarino Forest to ensure that they don’t get lost.”, said Ulmar.

Ulmar then pointed towards a large building, and there, Brayno saw a large man commanding what appears to be a group of men in some sort of a gang.

“Don’t worry about his group. Ulgar would make sure that they won’t harass normal travelers. The group is only there to ensure that the town won’t face any large threats.”, reassured Ulmar.

“Good to know.”, said Brayno.

“Alright, let’s pack up and go to Jiannu.”, said Lakish.

“We haven’t seen the leader in years.”, said Ulmar.

“It’s nice to see Ringorne again.”, said Brayno.

After the three commanders packed up their materials and started on their journey to the town of Jiannu. It was a long and dangerous road, filled with deadly elements, and bandits who would attempt to attack them. However, their year long training appears to be paying off, since they were able to fend off their attackers.

“Looks like our training during our exile has paid off.”, said a confident Lakish.

“I truly hope so. We need to be strong enough to defeat someone with the caliber of Slephenne.”, said Brayno.

“The map is pointing at this direction.”, said Ulmar.

After looking at the map, the three stumbled upon a small town. For Brayno, the town appears to be smaller than the village of Caltron. The trio went towards the town to rest for the night after a somewhat long journey.

Just a little longer, Ringorne. We will meet again. We may be able to revive Fang. thought Brayno.

“I wanna see Binshil and know if he is strong enough to be a full member of Fang.”, whispered Lakish.

“He’ll be fine. Ringorne is personally attending to his training.”, said Ulmar.

The three rented out a room in one inn and took a rest. During the night, the three decided to take a heavy rest. On the next day, the group left the inn and saw an old man. The old man told them that his name is Garowze.

“Come, I will lead you to Ringorne.”, said Garowze.

The three decided to follow him but stayed on their guard for fear of another ambush. Garowze led them outside the town of Jiannu. They were led to a small farmlot near a cave. Pointing towards the cave, Garowze told the group,

“That is the cavern of Kalegort. There, Ringorne is training with Binshil.”

“Alright. I’ll go inside first.”, said Brayno.

He also whispered to his companions,

“Keep an eye on him.”

“Understood.”, whispered Ulmar and Lakish.

Brayno went inside the cavern and was greeted by a young kid. Recognizing him, Brayno ran towards the kid and hugged him.

“Nice to see you again, Binshil.” said Brayno.

“Likewise, Mr. Brayno. How are you?”, said Binshil

“I’m fine. Raising a child and continuing to train. How about you?”, said Brayno.

“Hahahaha. Getting better. I hope I become as strong as you and Mr. Ringorne.”, said Binshil

“Don’t worry. You’re still young. Don’t rush too much.”, said Brayno.

“Mr. Ringorne is looking for you. Come with me.”, said Binshil.

Binshil led Brayno towards the center of the cavern. There, Brayno saw a familiar face. The two leaders of Fang embraced each other and exchanged greetings.

“Nice to see you again old friend. It has been a year.”, said Ringorne.

“Nice to see you again old friend. How is Binshil’s training?”, said Brayno.

“He is progressing well. Furthermore, it appears that our group could rise again.”, said Ringorne.

“That’s good to know.”, said Brayno.

“I’m going to ask you for a favor, old friend.”, said Ringorne.

“What is it?”, asked Brayno.

“Could you help Fang for a while. I know you and Angela have a family to raise. But the group will need you for at least a few years. Don’t worry, you can always go back to your family. I just want you to help me train a new batch of Fang members.”, said Ringorne.

“New batch of Fang members?”, asked a curious Brayno.

“Come with me.”, said Ringorne.

Ringorne led Brayno to another area in the cavern. There, a group of people were training. Seeing the potential new recruits for Fang, Brayno’s eyes widened. He saw groups of men and women, young and old, ready to fight.

“Don’t worry, all of them are of the right age. They would guard the ones who need help the most.”, said Ringorne.

“How did you get many recruits in a year?”, asked Brayno.

“Apparently, after the fall of Fang, many people decided to take the cause and help us. Finding volunteers is the easy part. Finding a place to train is the hard one.”, said Ringorne.

“So, how did you manage to find this place?”, asked Brayno.

“One of the volunteers told me that there is a large, abandoned cave here in the town of Jiannu. With the help of Garowze, I managed to set up a training field for the new volunteers of Fang.”, said Ringorne.

“How did you meet this Garowze?”, asked Brayno.

“After I disbanded Fang when Slephenne destroyed us, me and Binshil helped Garowze deliver some goods to the nearby towns. After doing so, he offered to give us a temporary shelter while we are recovering.”, said Ringorne.

“Hmmm. Alright, just keep guard, old friend.”, said Brayno.

“I will. I promise myself that I won’t get betrayed again.”, said Ringorne.

After their conversation, Brayno called Lakish and Ulmar, and invited them inside the cavern. There the two were just as shoked as Brayno when they saw the number of volunteers that Ringorne has managed to recruit.

“This is amazing.”, said Lakish.

“I know. Fang might rise again soon.”, said Ulmar.

“I hope Fang gets strong enough that Brayno and my sister can have their own lives. My nephew needs to live in a world of peace and free of suffering.”, said Lakish.

“Hahahahahaha. I hope you are right, Lakish.”, said Ulmar.

“I always wish for the best. No one should have the experience that I and my sis did.”, said Lakish.

Now that the commanders of Fang save for Angela are gathered at the same place, Ringorne made an announcement to them.

“I summoned all of you here since I have an announcement to make. Brayno, Ulmar and Lakish. Fang of the Sabres is back, and we are going to continue our operations. We will establish a base in this area, and we will help those who will need us. Just like before, our group will provide shelter to those who will need it.”, said Ringorne.

“Hahahahahaha. Figures, Fang will never die.”, said Brayno.

“Of course, it won’t. The idea of Fang is bigger than me or you.”, said Ringorne.

“I hope we don’t reach a situation where we will fight each other.”, said Brayno.

“We won’t. I guarantee that.”, said Ringorne

ON THE PRESENT DAY

“You broke our promise, Brayno. Why would you side with them?”, said an angry Ringorne.

“I’m not siding with them. I just want you guys to stop with your attacks and raids.”, said Brayno.

“You were the one who told us to go after them!”, yelled Ringorne.

“I know. That’s why I want to stop you. I’m responsible for this attack, and I want you to return to who you really are.”, said Brayno.

“The old me is dead, Brayno. It’s too late.”, said Ringorne.

“We’ll see about that.”, said Brayno.

SWORD ATTACK: MEGA SLASH

With brute force in his attack, Ringorne swung his sword towards his opponent, cutting down more trees, but barely missing his target.

Barely escaping his opponent, Brayno leapt away from Ringorne.

He really is strong. But I have to defeat him

“You never defeated me, Brayno, and I will make sure that stays put.”, yelled an angry Ringorne.

Swinging his blade towards his opponent, Brayno attacked Ringorne. However, the attack was blocked by his former leader
