《The Coin of Fate》Chapter 48 time for family

"Oh dear, this is bad. Not too bad, buuut... kinda bad? No, it's really bad. Probably not too bad... Lets hope it's not that bad.
I was cleaning up my library and... I lost misplaced the writing pen that Mother gave me.
There are kinda too many of us faeries around... and Mother is kinda busy so she does not tell us 'happy birthday!'.
But she gives us a gift the moment we are made. That gift is different for every faery and it's really powerful!
My writing pen can... should I even write this down?
My writing pen can use Mother's power to control the Plane of Creation.
Not like Mother does obviously! There is a teeny tiny part of Mother's power inside my pen.
It can change the reality with what it's written with it."
-Bee May, the faery of knowledge
"Lets hope I just left it somewhere and no one took it!"
Sidon rushed to get Little Wolf. While Mira fought Little Wolf she always stopped when he fell unconcious and the tether that connected his back to the cocoon where Fianna was in never disappeared before. It kept sending a trickle of Demonic energy to the cocoon, this time Mira did not stop, she was not playing with Little Wolf anymore, she was seriously trying to hurt him. Sidon jumped to his feet and tried to stop the young woman but the water was faster. The cocoon was still there but he did not know how it really worked so, he carried Little Wolf to the cocoon and let him touch it.
Sidon could feel the slow and powerful heartbeats coming from inside Little Wolf's body. He just hoped that the Demonic energy inside the cocoon was enough for his wife and the interruption did not cause problems to it.

He certainly could not predict that when Little Wolf's hand came in contact with the Demonic energy cocoon, the cocoon became undone and the Demonic energy flowed into Little Wolf. As the cocoon disappeared, Fianna came into view of Sidon. She was on her feet exactly like when Safe stabbed her some time ago, her eyes were closed. Apparently she was still unconscious and because there was nothing to sustain her, she started her descent to the ground.
Sidon caught her and laid her on the grass near Little Wolf, he made the two hold hands. It might do nothing or it might help Fianna. Even if it did nothing, Fianna loved her son, their closeness might help her anyways. Sidon stood watch over the two beings that meant the most to him for a while. Little Wolf was still unconscious while Fianna... She did not look dead, she did not look alive either... She did look like a younger version of her.
After trying to nurse his two loved ones for a while, rather uselessy too, Sidon remembered where they were. The Pond of Life! The water might help Fianna! So he ran to the pond, used his big hands to gather some of the water and splashed it on Fianna's face. The only evident result of his action was that his wife's face was... wet. That did not mean it would not work if he used more water. So for what could be a couple of seconds or minutes... Sidon rushed from the pond to Fianna's side, he did not count how many times he threw the 'magic' water to his wife. He just had to throw some more... Throw! How could he be so stupid! He jumped inside the pond, the scar on his chest shone crimson red, with the extra strenght from the Demonic energy coursing through his body he started to splash what was basically a tidal wave towards his lover and son's body.

The water from the pond was unending and Sidon gave his all to try and deplete it onto his loved ones. Fianna woke up, she tried to sit up but the strenght of the water threw her back to the ground.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" She yelled as she jumped to her feet. "SIDON! ARE YOU FUCKING TRYING TO DROWN ME!?"
Sidon stopped throwing water and his scar stopped glowing blood red.
"Fia! You are alive!"
"Yeah, you suck at drowning people! If you wanted me dead you could have just thrown me under the water!"
"Oh, right I could have put you inside the water..."
"WHERE YOU REALLY TRYING TO DROWN ME!?"
Fianna shook her fist towards her husband.
"Wait, why is my hand so pretty? And why is my voice so... young?"
She rushed towards the pond, she was so out of it that she did not notice that her other hand was still held tight around Little Wolf's hand. So she dragged him with her on her journey. The pool of water was so clean she used it as a mirror.
The first thing she noticed was her wet hairs, they were back to her vibrant fiery red. The silver streaks in her hair were gone, now there were some blood red locks in their place.
Then her eyes, her green eyes now had the same scarlet reflexes that adorned Sidon's brown ones.
After that she focused on her face, there were no more wrinkles, her skin was so pure and clean that it could challenge Little Wolf's.
She put her hands to her face, just to check if the water was really showing her the truth. In that exact moment she noticed that she was still holding Little Wolf's hand.
"I-I-I'm young again?"
"Yes my dear and, quite strong too."
"Oh, right."
And as she let go, Little Wolf fell to the ground.
"Owie, Mira... Could you please let me rest? You hit me hard enough for the moment."
Little Wolf cried and tried to turn the other way, maybe if he did not see his tormenter, she could not see him.
"She is gone son, the water took her inside and she disappeared."
"What? Really!?"
Little Wolf jumped on his feet.
"The water is so clear that I can see the bottom, she's not there!"
"It's true, I saw it happen, the water spun around her and dragged into the pond, then she disappeared."
"I can believe it, this place is really strange, this water is really strange." Added Fianna. "Now that I think about it, I can't drown in this water... So, you were not trying to kill me!"
"Dad! Did you try to kill mom?"
"No son. Fia, I just tried to save you. And please, don't put strange ideas inside our son's head."
Said Sidon, after all of his hard work to keep his family alive... How could they doubt him like that!

Fermboi was a man of one ideal: make the weak strong. When his rebellion against the king proved futile, he was given another chance at life. This time, he sought to do nothing after realizing the hopelessness of it all. Aventina wanted to do nothing more than to follow her father’s footsteps. On a retaliation raid against her tribe’s enemies, her brothers perished. Spared by a leader of her enemies, she returned home to find herself the chief of her tribe. Bolahulag, half-civilized and half-barbarian, half-lowborn and half-royal. Raised in his mother’s civilized tent in a sea of barbaric shelters, Bolahulag was hesitant to follow his paternal way of life. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.
