《World of Six Civilizations》Chapter 23 - Gulag and Death Dungeons

While the orc caravan was going to the new settlements under the leadership of Dimitri, another group of two people set out for the commercial city. In the caravan led by the locomotive of the merchant, Pigtail was walking with his people, who were in charge of the Orcs, while Sangre was traveling with Dimitri.
"My dear friend, I have no plans to withdraw from my promise. Please travel comfortably."
Seeing his apprentice holding the hilt of his sword before the orc, one hand on the bow, the merchant spoke to soften the atmosphere a little.
"No need, my master ordered me to execute you both at the slightest sign of treason. I look forward to your mistake. "
Sangre, who wanted to go to the city with his master, was left behind to wait with his merchant and his apprentice, and this situation made him hostile to the two.
"This time, I have to hold back at my master's request. The next time we meet, you can be sure that I will separate your head from your body!"
Subjected to insults and threats on his property, Sasha spread a heavy killing intention. Because of this oppressive atmosphere in the vehicle, Dimitri started praying that the journey would end as soon as possible.
The two Orks on their way to Nikonia were busy making the necessary preparations to enter the city. They would introduce themselves as two Orcs from the local orc tribe to present a core of conscious wild creatures to the city lord. While giving his gift to the city lord, they planned to kill himself and escape from the city. After talking about the last details about the assassination, they approached the door between the walls.
"Stop! Take off what's on your head and show your face. "
Guarding at the gate, city guards stopped the two in hooded cloaks at the entrance. When they saw that these people who took off their hoods were Orcs, the guards' behavior began to take a completely different turn.
"Look at this! Two ignorant Orcs have come to our city! Didn't we tell you that if any Orc tries to enter Nikonia, he will have to leave his head here?
Alyon, who learned from the captive soldiers that the trade city and the Orc tribe in the region were at odds, knew that they would not be welcome, but this despicable treatment seriously offended his pride.
"I'm giving you ten breaths of time. Either you get out of my way, or I pass inside of you!"
While Nafız, who understood her partner's feelings, took an attack position, the air became heavy like a bullet. By the end of the allotment, Alyon grabbed the Warhammer by his back while the gate guards surrounded the two orcs.

"What's happening in here? Who wants to explain to me? "
The guards suddenly froze as a tall skinny man in a gray cloak shouted at the crowd of soldiers. A senior soldier in the group immediately knelt before the voice's owner and began to speak.
"Lord Gulag, these two Orcs were trying to enter our city. When we wanted to prevent them, they wanted to resort to brute force. "
Nafız, who overheard the conversation, was cursing inside.
"How did we coincide when this man would be here?"
Thanks to the intelligence they received, they knew who they were. The Gulag was inspecting the city, with a battalion of soldiers behind him suddenly appeared. Seeing that the situation was getting worse, Nafız quickly spoke.
"Lord Gulag, we are the people of the orc tribe who came to the Supreme Lord Godfrey to negotiate. We want to appear before us to present the fully conscious monster essence we bring with us as a gift. "
Nafız knew that they could comfortably kill three times as many of the soldiers gathered around them, but the noise could prevent them from killing Godfrey. It would be much more sensible to keep the low profile right now.
As these thoughts passed through her mind, Nafız would be shocked by what she heard.
"They will be rewarded for decapitating these two here. Catch them alive and take them to my private dungeon."
As the soldiers who received the order attacked the two, Alyon finally recovered on his nerves. Throwing his hand on Nafız's shoulder and said to "We're surrendering!"
They did not like the enemy's surrender without resistance as the enraged soldiers were dying to kill the miserable Orcs. Even though their desire to kill had peaked, their order was about to catch up alive. Knowing very well the meaning of disobedience to the Gulag's orders, they set out to take prisoners with purple alloy handcuffs on their wrists to the dungeon.
Seeing the Orcs surrender, the Gulag turned to the soldiers behind him and called out.
"You all return to your duty. I am going to the dungeon with the prisoners."
The soldiers waiting at the gate were pleased with these words. One of them could not contain himself and yell to "You wish you were dead in our hands, you scum!"
The group that brought the prisoners to the dungeon stopped when they came to a large black door after the long march. The door, which seemed to be closing the passage into the mountain on which the city rests, opened with a loud noise. Inside, people with masks made from the heads of wild creatures came out and greeted the Gulag.

"Release the prisoners and go away!"
When the soldiers heard this cold and soulless voice, they took a few steps back involuntarily. Except for its subjects, only these strange creatures could be found in the Gulag's private dungeon. The group called the Hellhound was known as the Gulag's slaves as a result of experiments.
After Alyon and Nafız were taken into the dungeon by the Hellhounds, they went through a long tunnel to the wide opening. Carved into the mountain, this place consisted of a large courtyard on the ground and cells spread over several floors on the sides. When suspicion struck Nafız, who was looking around, she met with Alyon.
Since they were captured, they planned to kill that inside as soon as possible after entering the dungeon and wait until dusk for assassination. But for some reason, they both agreed to wait a bit.
When the group got to the center of the square, they stopped walking. The dungeon's contents were at a crossroads when the Gulag turned and called out the two captive orcas.
"Fools, you want to have yourself killed?"
Unable to understand the words of the skinny man who spoke very calmly, the two tried to understand what was going on.
"Guys, untie your friends' hands. They will be our guests until darkness falls!"
When the sound of the Gulag echoed several times in the vast void, some faces began to appear from the gated grooves. Shadows of women, men, and even semi-conscious creatures were slowly coming to light. From the small caves in the ground, a boy ran to the Gulag's feet.
"Uncle Gulag! Gulag uncle! Will this brother and sister live with us now? "
"No, Joshua, they will be gone before dawn. You know, we don't have enough room for too many people. "
When the little boy got the answer, he looked up at the ceiling of the cave. Here was a hole through which only enough light could enter to illuminate the square. The insiders could take turns taking turns in this area to take advantage of the daylight.
The demons had taken off the masks from their faces as they walked towards him to unclamp Nafız, who watched what was happening in amazement. Witnessing the acting of these ordinary and amiable people in front of the door, Nafız could not hide her admiration for them.
"If you come for handcuffs, there is no need, guys."
The demons, who saw Nafız cutting the handcuffs with the daggers coming out of her bracelets, stopped suddenly. Meanwhile, Alyon spoke after he smashed the metal alloy with brute force, which restricts the movement of his arms.
"We planned to kill you after you were in the dungeon, but it seems that exciting things are going on here. You have one chance to explain everything clearly. "
The Gulag was the first to react to the events.
"My friends, in these dungeons, what I can save from those who will be persecuted by the city lord Godfrey are living. Using my experiments as an excuse, I can hide and protect this place. "
"I haven't seen any Orcs in all these people, is there a special reason for that?"
When Nafız looked through the crowd that had begun to surround them, she had never really come across an orca.
"The city lord has an ingrained hatred for the Orcs. Unfortunately, I could not save any of them, as he ordered them to be executed where they were seen. "
Although Nafız, who received her answer, was satisfied, something was puzzling her mind.
"To what do we owe our being here, Mr. Gulag?"
The Nafız wondered about the purpose of this skinny man who had imprisoned them in defiance of the city lord's orders.
"Because of the words you said to me at the city gate, I took the risk of bringing you to my dungeon, which I hid from everyone. Do you have a fully conscious wild beast essence?"
Feeling excited by the Gulag, Nafız continued to speak.
"Let's say there is. Why would this concern you?"
"For a long time, I have been able to create semi-conscious wild creatures by feeding them the corpses of evil people, but for the end of my experiment, it takes the blood of a fully conscious creature. I have to stop the cruel city lord. Can you give me the beast essence?"
Nafız, who had thought about the words she had heard for a while, turned and smiled at Alyon.
"We don't need to waste the monster essence for this job; if we take the head of the skinny and show the city lord this dungeon, I'm sure he will start trusting us. As soon as we approach him on the pretext of giving his gift, we finish his job. "
