《World of Six Civilizations》Chapter 14 - Small But Effective

As the merchant unloaded the weapons from the wagons in front of the chief's tent, the warrior Orcs began to speak among themselves.
"How could the new chief get so many weapons?"
"What about the female orc next to him? Just a week ago, she was trembling with fear in the chief's tent. How she turned into someone who could kill us in a blink."
One of the warriors standing guard inside the tent during the naming ceremony could not hide his astonishment. Unloading their wagons, Dimitri left the tribe at full speed, and his eyes turned golden. While he was traveling through the steppe with his locomotive with the emblem of the mercenaries, he was also evaluating today's events with Sasha.
" Sir, can we trust these two orcs? Could the material they show for payment be fake?"
The anger in him was still not subsiding as the golden-haired Sasha pulled a cloth from his bag and wrapped it around his neck to cover the evidence of the incident that had undermined his honor.
"Sasha, you were just a toddler when I took you with me. Do you remember seeing equipment that can change shape?
Understanding that his apprentice Sasha was affected by his experiences, Dimitri began to explain his plans.
"Our greatest skill as a trader must be to understand the quality and value of the goods we see. It seems that you haven't read the great craftsmen book I have given you."
"No, sir! I read the book you gave carefully from beginning to end."
Sasha was highly excited at the scolding of his master
"I always saw you as a son. Are you aware of what situation you got me in today?
Seeing Sasha lowering his head, Dimitri continued to speak in a fatherly tone.
"The first mistake you made as a trader candidate is that you lost your cool very quickly, my young friend. Our Trade Guild is under the protection of Mercenaries, and this can protect us against theft. But how far do you think the guild can go for merchants in our class if we are killed in the desolate lands at the end of the world? "
Dimitri was an experienced trader. Being a simple person with no background, he built his career by going to places other traders wouldn't bother to visit. After years of hard work, he had reached the level of a 2nd class simple trader.

"Your second mistake couldn't suppress your anger; as a result of the treatment, your nerve blinded your eye. Did you see the reliefs on the equipment that turned into a whip? "
When Sasha pondered these words, he realized that he had not focused his attention on examining his surroundings during the events in the chief's tent. This was one of the most unforgivable mistakes for a trader because no matter how much you know, you cannot value something you cannot see.
Dimitri saw from his gaze that his apprentice had learned the lesson. After achieving his goal, he also gave a hint.
"If I say silver skull, will you be able to know the craftsman who made the equipment?"
When Sasha heard his master's words, his eyes glowed.
"Companion of Death Abarran is the most famous weapon master of Hell Realm. He is one of three people in the world who can make weapons that can change shape and are developed."
"I hope you now understand what our customer has. When you get to the city, I want you to buy a dozen mechanical mail pigeons. These people can open the door to fortune for us."
Smelling the gain, Dimitri felt he was at a crossroads.
Meanwhile, Nafız, who was closing the lid of the chest in the chief's tent, said, "It was good that I took the Minotaur's horns; if I knew it would be useful, I could at least leave his face as a whole."
It had been a long time since the angry bull had become conscious. His materials were of great importance in making weapons. After killing the creature, she threw it in the ring without wasting any part of it.
"We don't have to use the crystal core right away. There may be a situation where it will benefit much more in the future."
Alyon ordered Pigtail to gather the tribal people in front of his tent. He told the assembled crowd the life they lived until today without knowing it; he did not leave any details in the dark.
Realizing that their days were based on many lies, the Orcs were very angry. As the crowd spoke to each other, the tension increased gradually. Especially when the Orcs of the hunter division learned that they were used as live bait, they started to view the warrior orcs differently. The tension of the environment skyrocketed when Alyon silenced everyone with his deep voice.

"The events of the past are a thing of the past, and I forbid any retrospective hatred. From now on, your new life begins, and as long as you follow the new rules, I guarantee that everyone will be treated equally."
The speech of their new chief helped the Orcs to calm down a bit. Having stopped bickering between them, the crowd continued to listen to their leader.
"The Hunter section does not exist as of today. The tribe will only have warriors and supplies departments. The chief of the warriors will be Nafız, and the chief of supplies will be Pigtail."
After sweeping the crowd gathered in front of the tent with his gaze;
"I'm always ready to duel for the chair of the chief. Anyone who thinks they are stronger than me can challenge me. The most significant rule of our tribe; the strong will rule; the rest will obey. The penalty for disobedience is death! "
Having finished his words, Alyon returned to his tent and went towards where the fighters gathered in Nafız. According to the plan they thought with Alyon, she had to train the warriors quickly.
She had to train a group of soldiers who had gained basic qualifications in a short time, like a month, and form a team with unique talent among them. Nafız was the perfect fit for this job, thanks to the brutal training she inherited from the consciousness, her great war experience, and her psychopathic temperament.
"Yes, clowns! Your education is starting; you will wish you were never born when I'm done with you. Now, everybody takes a bow and an ax out of the weapons. After that, you come to the training ground. Those who cannot come in two hundred breaths, let them go directly to the supplies department!"
Pigtail met with the chief as the warriors crushed each other and rushed to the weapons with instructions from their new leader.
"I know you were a fierce warrior in the past. So do you wonder why I made you the chief of the supplies department? "
Alyon caught the expression on Pigtail's face before asking the question; he knew the answer well. Although he did not want to be disloyal to the person who saved him, returning to the department he was in to humiliate him was very annoying.
"This land is unfit to live, my friend. We have no place to provide food since we killed the wild creatures on the Great Mountain. Due to the previous chief's ignorance, the supplies section was not properly arranged. You will rebuild this section with my help.
When you bring the supplies section to the required level and read these books on war tactics, I can leave the tribe to you with peace of mind."
Pigtail was staring at the few books thrown in front of him, and he was stunned by the words he heard from Alyon.
"Chief, how can I be a chef while you're here? Please, these words are not even nice to joke."
"We will not be with you in a month. Nafız set out to train a small but effective group of quality that could accompany us on our journey. You will rule the remaining Orcs over the fertile lands I will take you."
While Alyon told about his plan for the coming days, Pigtail's question marks were erased from his mind. When the two finished their meeting, they started walking towards the supplies section. When they arrived at the supplies section, Alyon called out to the Orcs, who saw a chief here for the first time.
"Our tribe will enter into a change. The Supplies Department, one of the two main departments, will also be affected."
The supplies department orcs could not believe their ears. Its parts, which have been a symbol of a loser for years, were pronounced as one of the two main parts.
"Apart from its current duties, the supplies department will also undertake the production of agriculture, farming, defense weapons, and mechanical equipment. As a result of the selection to be made today, you will start your education according to your abilities. I swear on my name that the one who contributes the most to the tribe with his work will receive the best treatment!"
The process of understanding the orcs' abilities and selecting their divisions took until sunset. Returning to his tent, Alyon found Nafız pacing with an angry utterance.
"What happened? You are running around like crazy again?"
Alyon was laughing, but Nafız was not in the mood. As soon as the chief stepped in, Nafız started yelling.
"There isn't even a useful person among them."
