《No Strings Attached [Rewritten]》Ch 8: How to survive like idiots

Day 2 of training
I've woken up on the training grounds after yesterday's harsh study sessions. My hands are tied behind my back this time with a bit of blood leaking from my mouth. Probably cause by an injury from moving me here. I'm guessing Iro left after I fell to sleep as she isn't here tying my legs together. In front of me is a piece of paper that says the following, I've asked the chefs to prepare breakfast for you and I placed it on the dining room. If you want breakfast, try to escape using only your hands and on't even try to use your arachne legs, they are all turned to stone. Good luck hero.
This should be easy, they are just like shoelaces made of rope. All I need to do now is just move my hands from behind my back. I wiggle around to try to loosen the ropes, this should work because I saw it in a movie. My left becomes free and I use it to untie the ropes, this was very easy know that I think about it, what's the catach. I start to walk away with a worried look on my face, this shouldn't be easy. My body reaches the archway then it happened, the rope is back around me only tighter this time. I knew this wouldn't be easy, I called it. So self-tying ropes that learn, this is interesting at the very least..
I get my hand free again but the rope wraps around it, pulling it down back to my waist. Well that didn't work, can I cut the rope though? I try to bring the rope up to my teeth, but it's harder than it looks. My body may be flexible but the rope is to low to reach with my teeth. If only I could use my spider legs, than it will make this 5% easier. Well, I always have my spit to rely on. I spit on to the rope and test out to see if it works by giving the first command.
"Release me."I order, It of course releases me, bu then it starts shaking. It probably was made to only keep a person tied up, not to release them. Hm, what if I could recreate this using [Sticky Substance]. I dissasemble the rope into it's string form. Don't spider eat their own webs sometimes to fill back up their webs, so can't I do the same? Well I am a bit hungry so let's try it. I start eating the strings, which is harder than you think when it's moving while trying to decide to capture or not to capture.
New skill unlocked
[Sentient string]
When activated, your strings will do whatever they want. Warning: Emphasis on WHATEVER. Cost 1 mana to activate, once activate theres no calling back until no one is around.
Aw god, another thing that can go against my order. Although it might be useful if I ever need to stop thinking and giving orders. Wait, how do I even produce strings, also webs, does my spit count? I will have to test this later with the only mana I have. For now let's go to the dining hall for now and eat the chefs' delicous food.
While walking down the hall, I find myself nearing the dungeon. Curiousity got the best of me so I entered and walked towards the 6th cell. They were chatting about something, but at least they seems less nervous then last time I came down here. As soon as they see me, thye stop talking giving me a look like I shouldn't be listening.

"Go on don't mind me, I'm just passing by to see how you guys are doing, heh." I say nervously. The atmosphere in this place is really tense all of the sudden, I am not prepared for situations like these, is this what they call awkward silence. I just wanted to talk, so why is it like they're purposely going out of their way to avoid me. They are still silent , I guess I should just leave, I'm really curious what they are talking about though.
I head out of the dungeon, well I was about to until they started talking again. How do I hide myself, it's not like I could turn invisible or cloak my presence.Well if I could stick to the bath without getting washed away by Satan, then I should be able to stick to the ceiling. I extend the legs long enough to where I can hang from the ceiling but still be able to listen more accurately to their conversation, now that I think about it I hope I get some sort of sneak skill for this. Man this is a weird way to few things, everything is upside down so it messes with my senses a bit. I get near the quartet while making sure to keep my breathing quiet.
New skill unlocked
[Silent Breath]
Your breath becomes quieter. Each level allows for a quieter breath.
This skill is very self explanatory. Now that I think about it, I am getting a lot of passives aren't I. The only active skill I have is [Sentient string] but that cost all my mana for a spell that simple. Whatever, it's time to eavesdrop on the quartet. I mean in closer while not trying to get close to the anti-magic barrier. Wait, how are my legs working, did Christina lie to me about turning my legs to stone. This is no time to be thinking now, I want to eavesdrop.
"So we are being sent to the place called The WIlderness for punishment huh." My ears pick up.
"Apparently yes based on what the guards say."
"The name wilderness doesn't sound that bad, it sounds like they're just releasing us."
"No based on the way the guards spoke about it, it sounds terrible."
"We probably should've asked that arachne what The Wilderness is."
"I knew we should've spared those demon slaves. You should've listened to me." It's really hard to distinguish the whispers now isn't it. I should visit the Technians some day to ask for a listening device.
"Well they belong to the nobles, they are their property."
"He's right getting on the good side of nobles is important, but giving them back to their owners doesn't seem right."
"I know, but still I just think if you own something, then you should have it back."
"Then what if that arachne fellow became a slave, he did say he was once human to. Would you free him, kill him, or send him back." Hm, they are talking about me. But why would someone enslave a useless arachne like me.
"I don't know about him, his backstory is suspicous. I knew we should've questioned him."
"You didn't answer the question, what would you do if he was enslaved?"
"Can I not answer the question, I rather not talk about it."
"Fine, we can not talk about it, in return you have to kiss me."
"No kiss me instead."
"No me!" Are they seriously doing something so naughty inside a dungeon. They must be deviants of some kind before getting captured. Welp, there's no point in sticking around here any longer, might as well head towards the dining hall. I move my legs silently, trying not to alert the quartet. Finally I reach the exit of the dungeon and continue my walk towards the dining hall.

By the looks of it, 13 minutes has passed since I entered. I should hurry, my food is probably cold by now. I switch to my beetle movement and start scurrying across the floor. Why the fuck are there so many obstacles in the way, there's pillars, loose flooring, even scattered shattered rocks every few minutes.
I finally reach the fucking dining hall after having blisters all over my hand and bruise bumps on my head. Then I see it on the table, the food that the chefs prepared for me. It looked like steak with rice with some water, but I knew better from the chefs of the castle. I quickly grab the fork and dig in. The first bite was so great, it taste like-
{You have been drugged: You will suffer from [Sleep] for 24:00:00}
Jay's face feel into the steak he didn't get to eat. A couple of guards walk in and start to carry him and throwing away the food. Christina planned all of this, and she of course has plans after this. They enter the dungeon and find the heroes doing some pretty nasty things. Of course Christina was turned on by this, but she didn't show it. They turn off the magic barriers and hand cuff the heroes with anti-magic shackles.
The heroes see Jay knocked out and they were shocked, they didn't think Jay would be there. They are thrown onto a telepad while Christina enters the coordinates.
"Any questions before I send you off to The Wilderness." Christina says.
"Why is the arachne here? Isn't he a demon too?" The petite female says.
"He is just not any arachne, he is the destined Hero of Demons, or so says his occupation." Christina responds.
"So he's a hero, so what. Why are you sending him out to The Wilderness. Speaking of, why makes The Wilderness so special that it's a punishment." The hero says.
"What makes the wilderness so special is that it's a forest with a high magic concentration, it's full of dangerous S rank beasts such as Lycanthropes or rogue Giants. As for why we are sending the hero, he needs to train for the upcoming test." Guard A says.
"Why does he need to train, doesn't he have a speical skill like the other heroes." The neko female says.
"I knew you would say that so why spoil the fun. You would just have to figure that out yourselves, for now you just need to take a look at him." Christina says.
"Wait, aren't you going to send us with supplies at least, what if your hero dies? Why do you leave him in our care?" The human female says.
"Don't worry about the hero, he can't die that easily," she remarks, "But if you purposely harm the hero in anyway, consider the punishments raised." she says. The coordinates finally lock in after a few minutes and the heroes and Jay are finally able to go. After a few confirmations from the guards, the heroes and arachne are teleported away.
The heroes and arachne are teleported to a very dark part of the forest with now light to be seen coming through. They are scared at first but the hero comforts all of htem while the arachne is still on the ground, dreaming about food. Through a 'unanimous' decision, the petite female ends up carrying the arachne. She sighs and slumps him over her shoulder, much to her suprise though, he is very light despite how heavy his legs look. They wander around the forest looking for shelter to set up temporary camp at. They find a cliff over hang with plenty of space to start a campfire. They decide the roles of each party member and this is how it ended up: Hero defends the camp and gatherer, Neko gathers and hunts, Human forages for supplies to improve camp, while the petite woman takes care of the arachne. The arachne is really going to weigh them down if he doesn't wake up soon so they start by doing that.
The Neko tries to slap the arachne awake, but that barely does anything. The Human then gets an idea so she starts scavenges the forest. She then brings the arachne over to reveal a river, then she throws him in there nearly drowning him. Everyone there then procedded to scold her for nearly costing their lives. The Hero gives it a shot and uses his cheat skill, [Dreamscape] to enter his dreams and wake him up from there. [Dreamscape] is a cheat skill for two reasons, it can mentally harm an opponent and forces them to go to sleep. When the Hero enters he is treated to the arachne's human past at his old school. However the Hero is caught off track with the school deliquents so he gets out of the dream without waking up the arachne. The Petite female then gives it a try by using her simple magic [Cure] which cures 1 status condition.
The arachne wakes up, but then goes back to sleep thinking he was in a dream. The party is at least relieved that the arachne woke up but a bit dissapointed he went back to sleep. They decided there was no point in trying in waking him up again so they decided to just gather supplies until he wakes up naturally. The hero and Neko move out to gather food while the Petite and Human take care of the arachne. The hero duo found a S-rank bear with defense magic so they are busy hunting it down while the arachne caretakers are doing their job at the very least.
The caretakers wonder why the arachne needs training so they finally decided to use [Identify] on him, and of course they were suprised to see what makes him so special.

Description
A boy summoned by the Devil himself, with the great honer of being hero of demons. It's a shame his stats are pitiful.
To make matters worse, he is an arachne, a slave race. The perfect toy to play around with.
Before he was summoned he was a spoiled rich boy with adorning girls who followed him.
Due to an 'accident'(definitely not cause by me), he is now here.
-(-??-) aka The best god ever
"What the fuck, does this guy seriously has no stats." The Human says.
"What are these skill, beetle, inventory entity, SUPERIORITY COMPLEX. This don't even sound like real skills, not even titles." The Petite female says.
"We've got to show this to Tanya and Glenn, they'll flip."
"Is it really ok for us to show his stats though."
"What do you mean?"
"This guy must try really hard to keep his stats hidden from others who aren't in the castle."
"I don't follow."
"What I'm saying this guy is supposed to be the Hero of Demons, must be heavy weight on his shoulders to help those in need with those type of stats. If anything he might feel like his weighing everyone down."
"You do have a point, he must feel pretty bad about himself. But I want to tell them so badly."
"Just don't say anything about this, when they ask just try to ac-"
"Hey guys we're back, guess what. We just hunted an S-rank bear," Glenn the hero says, "So what have you guys been up to?"
"N-nothing, we were just talking, right Aria?"
"R-right me and Jane were just talking." Aria says.
"Why are you guys nervous, did anything happen to arachne-kun while we were gone?" Tanya says.
"Nothing happened to him, and stop teaching her your old language Glenn." Jane says.
"I can't help it when she asks me everynight, with also the fact that my Japanese just slips out." The group starts to argue again, but they stop once the arachne wakes up.
"*Yawn*,"Jay says"Hm?" Jay looks around him. "Why are you guys here, in fact WHERE ARE WE?!" Jay starts panicking as many thoughts ran through his mind while the Jane trys to calm him down. It calmed him down a bit and sooned after they've explained the situation to him. He calmed down completely and was ready to help anyway he can, he may have been spoiled back on Earth but he at least one stat from all of this. Though he still wants to be lazy.
Jay decided to help everyone out by trying to make some sheets for them using his strings, or at least he would if he knew how to eject them. He probably shouldn't have made any false promises but at least he has a goal now. He decides to help Aria by gathering materials from the tall parts of the forest. Night time was quickly approaching so they had to hurry and get the camp fire started.
Everyone meets back at camp with the following supplies: Sticks and rocks, a lot of them. They try their best to make a fire with the materials they have but fail miserably since no one knows where to even start.
"How did they even survive while traveling to the castle." Jay thought. With no other option left the hero and his harem huddle up together for warmth and fell asleep, oh Jay, he just wandered around making defenses until he got tired and fell asleep in the corner, ALONE.
Day 3 of training
Jay was the first one to wake up, it's probably because he couldn't sleep because of the cold. He heads out and grabs materials to improve the defenses he made. In the meantime, the groups split up again doing their assigned roles, everyone besides Jane since she had no idea where Jay even went. Jay comes back after some materials to build an actual working fire, or at least he hoped. Jay met up with Jane and soon they started discussing about how to stop beast from coming in. He may have built defenses, but they probably won't be able to stop an S-class beast.
Aria overhears the conversation and helps Jay gather materials to improve and fortify the defenses around the campsite. They now have a fence and alarm systems in place to protect against beast. How it works is pretty simple, Jay used his spit to connect a line of wood into a barricade so if the connection is severed, then Jay knows something knocked down a fence. Only problem is Jay has to stay near the campsite in order for the fence and alarm system to stay so they scracthed that idea pretty quickly. After think long and hard to come up with a way to improve their defenses, they just decided to use [Sticky Substance] and stick the barricades together.
Jay tried to seperate from the two to go exploring, but they ended up following me anyways. He decided to go to a deeper part of the forest to try and lose them, and it was almost successful until a stick poked his top right eye which caused him to whence in pain. They saw him and carried him back to the campsite to heal a bit. The reason he wanted to seperate from them was because he wanted to test out his new skill, [Eye color: Green]. The skill apparently allowed him to have night vision while cosmetically changing his green. He really wanted to use it, but he was unsuccesful in his escape attempt.
Aria and Jane try to help mend his blue eye as best as the can, but their rush only turned into chaos since they have different approaches to healing. Jay chuckles a bit since it reminds him of when he got sick and his harem came to visit, they all tried different ways like herbal medicine, modern medicine or just regular treatment. This obviously left Aria and Jane confused since they didn't know what was so funny, but didn't care as long as Jay is healed, so their punishments don't get raised of course.
The sun goes down and Glenn and Tanya were impressed at what Jay managed.
"Did you really build all of this while we were gone?!" Glenn said while standing in shock. They just came back from hunting a S-rank tiger looking all smug at what they accomplished, but it was shot down as soon as they saw the camp.
"Yeah, I woke up earlier than everyone and decided to gather materials to make barricades. If it wasn't for Aria I still would've been trying all sorts of countermeasures." Jay said.
"Is that how you injured your eye?" Tanya said curiously.
"No it was from something else."
"From what then."
"A stick." Jay says bluntly. Glenn and Tanya both look at each other than just laugh it off. Jay looks over to his left and realizes what was missing in the fire pit the girls made a while back, an actual fire.
"Um, does anyone have fire magic." There was silence for an awkward amount of time until Glenn thought of an idea. He grabbed 2 rocks together and started to bang them together like cavemen. It went on for quite a while until he gave up due to lack of energy. Jay went up and gave it a try, and got it on his first and only try. Glenn then started to bow down towards Jay asking him to teach him the ways. The hero and his harem go to bed on the still hard ground but Jay went out again. Jane woke up to the sound of Jay's spider joints and decided to follow him again, but this time without him noticing.
(Jay's POV)
"Finally they're sleeping, now I can test the skill out." I activate [Eye color: Green] and look around me. This looks exactly like night vision except more clearer. I walk around the forest while using [Order} on the pointiest of sticks. I met some S-rank rabbits, but they weren't much of a threat to me, but they probably provided good leveling exp. I more intrested in the things the hero and his neko are fighting, since it will probably be good training, I don't know why, but I am starting to feel more confident, did my [Ego] have a huge boost? My status menu opens and I scroll through to see if it's true and sure enough I was right.
{[Ego] now at 891/1000. You are experiencing a buff called [Superiority]}
When the fuck did my [Ego] get so high, was it from Glen- I mean the hero praising me. Must've been, where else would I get this huge boost other than my personality. I feel great, like I can kill anything I want with no worry of losing because I know in the end I will win. Guess I must get going now, there's beast to slay, skills to get, and exp to steal.

What if someone told you that there were dimensions alongside ours? Innumerable and impossible to even fathom. That no normal man could ever hope to understand, or even find a way to peer across the everdistant parallels that pervade the multiverse? Now, what if that same person told you that there existed a race that lived outside all dimensions? A race so powerful that, instead of being forced to play along with the rules of your own dimension, they could rewrite all aspects of reality with only a thought. Of course, you would laugh at them.
