《Debts Come Due!》Day-52 The twisted queen.

This entire place is a twisted maze with no way out other than over the bodies of your friends or through the maw of hell. It is not a place that is conducive to living. Not a place any sane person would ever dare go. It was however where this expedition had taken a lot of miserable outcasts and a young noble. It was where they would find if all this was worth the trouble. They had prepared as best they could. Now all that was left was to blow the last bit of stone away and go to their fates.
"I want this place breached at the same time in all the locations followed by the main door being destroyed ten seconds later. We put up barriers so that everything we throw into the room gets trapped inside and flood the place with area spells. No mistakes people, there will be no second chances." Sasha said as everyone prepared for the next part.
The front line would be fighting past the barriers, buying time for the spellcasters to burn the thing to death. They did not know exactly what was inside but they knew for sure that it was big, powerful, and had more minions enslaved to its will than they could count. Some suspected that there was in fact a hivemind built for killing and based around an insectoid creature from the Underdark hidden there. Waiting and biding its time for what was to come. The challenges that would one day kill it.
"Breach in three, two, one. Go, go, go."
All hell broke loose as seven openings came through the walls at the same time followed by a blast of ice magic, fire magic, acid, rot, decay, wind, and temporal displacement. The idea they had decided on was to slow and twist time so that the monsters inside could never fully escape it. Only made more dangerous by the fact that everyone in the group had been warded against all them magics that could be inside.

Since they did not have the pleasure of deciding where the fight would take place and highly suspected that this monster was not made just to endure like the last big one but to be a killing machine. To slaughter all that came for it and to overwhelm with sheer numbers, truly the monster from the mind of a mage that had stared far too long into the darkest of nights.
There it stood a towering monster with chitin as strong as steel and scythes for arms before the main doors could be reduced to rubble it was already attacking the barriers and had almost broken three of them. Highly resistant to damage it had weathered the spells, not without damage but it had weathered them well. The fire burned along seven of its arms and barely left a single mark anywhere though it did damage the insides.
Not much but enough that by the time Sasha made it there and was impaled through the gut she could really do a number on it with her healing magic. The magic that had made her infamous in her order for crippling anyone but herself. For doing more damage the whatever had hurt them in the first place. What's more, was the fact that her blood of stone fire was soaking into the thing. It attacked it as a living thing and ravaged it from the inside out.
It took the small amount of damage from the magical barrage and healed it up perfectly wrong. Even with the monster's natural regeneration, it could not fix this easily. Only with the damage happening again so that it could heal properly would it ever truly go away. Add to that the fact that she was still impaled and holding on with all her strength, healing both herself and the monster while her blood burned through it. Keeping the damage that came in healing wrong the entire time was her sole job on this hunt.

This was the type of thing that she had saved so much of her strength for. Tess started growing flowers out of the way that released poison pollen to damage its internal systems. Arrows with pinpoint accuracy were hitting it in any weak spots that they could find, the damage that would ordinarily be fixed almost as soon as it came. A fight that would only end when it had been completely exhausted or everyone was dead.
Normally it would not even be slowed down until that point but with Sasha there they had an edge. It started to show with the first of its limbs got cut off by an ax wielder. It healed back almost as soon as it hit the floor but it did not move right afterward. It was now dead weight, a glaring flaw in the perfect killer that was a Queen Kislts. Sasha smiled through blood-stained lips, it was all coming together.
"Damn it, damn it, I hate this plan so much. Heal her before she dies. I know that she can recover herself but if she dies we all do so pour it on her and do not hit the damn bug or I will gut the lot of you!" Drassisa shouted at the top of her lungs. Even with all of this if Sasha died the monster would be able to undo the damage done to it easily. It might even just molt and undo it all at once.
"I have almost finished getting it ready. Be very aware that this thing is going to get way angrier than it is right now." Teamasa said.
She reached into its brain, she had spent a lot of time aiming for its brain, and did the simplest thing imaginable. She set it on fire with electricity. Burned its ability to plan and higher thinking out of its head. The effort left her exhausted but the deed was done. Sasha made sure that it could not be easily undone the very next second. Now they just had a natural-born killer that was also a berserker. Now they just had to finish immobilizing it and it was as good as dead.
With the help of some fire mages, Tess turned some broken stones into lava and force-fed the thing after they had managed to pin it to the ground. It would deal constant damage to the inside that Sasha would heal. Its energy was almost gone and it was slowing down so much. The only problem was that Sasha was in just as bad a shape. She had been put through the wringer and only every healer combined was keeping her alive. Only her own will was keeping her awake at this point.
It was like that the most perfect killing machine nature had ever made and enhance by a wizard so insane he had come around the bend to sanity again fell. In the end, it took seven out of the fight and killed three more before they could be saved but it died. It died hard!

Hero
Kuren is just your average boy. He's just been asleep for one thousand years. Heroes and grand epics. Kuren doesn't have the time to think about things like that, nor does he really care. Join Kuren as he wanders the fantasy land of Alurca in search of his lost memories and the reasons behind his lengthy slumber. This is sort of a reboot of Anomaly, the first novel I tried to write. I gave up Anomaly after going to college. I thought about going back to it, but... when I look at it now, it's not very good. It was very edgy and not much substance behind that edge. The story wasn't quite going anywhere since I hadn't given the main character a goal. I had planned out a story, but I forgot to to plan out the details between the beginning and end. So this one's for real. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
