《The Mysteries of the Dungeon》Chapter 2: Dungeon A.I

Dungeon Core A.I: Rise and shine sleepy head. Allen, you have to wake up. You idiot.
The sound of a male voice loudly echoes withinside Allen Walter's head, as he slowly woke up from the slumbering state.
"I'm up. I'm up. Stop yelling at me, David." Allen Walter is waking up, he grew slightly annoyed at being yelled at by that said person, so he called out the name of his younger brother.
Dungeon Core A.I: I'm not David you nincompoop. Well, I'm not even your stupid brother at all.
The dungeon core a.i itself loudly lectures Allen Walter himself.
"If you are not David then who the fuck are you... huh?" Allen Walter loudly shouted as he finally opens his closed eyes.
When he opened up his eyes, the first thing that he saw was the dark ceiling of the 3×3 meters small cave that he is currently trapped in.
The only source of light within this dimly lit small cave was the ambient light radiating off from the dungeon core crystal, located in the center of the room.
A dungeon core crystal is the heart of the dungeon itself. It is linked to the soul of the Dungeon Lord.
If it is ever destroyed or broken, the dungeon itself will be completely eviscerated, and the Dungeon Lord will die along with it.
However, if the Dungeon Lord is killed in action, whilst protecting its dungeon core. So long as the dungeon core is still intact and with plentiful of mana left within its mana pool.
It is possible to fully resurrect the fallen Dungeon Lord, or even possibly create a new physical body from nothing in expense for its large mana consumption.
'Huh? So where the fuck am I? Did I really get isekaied?' Allen Walter thought to himself, as he is under the impression that he was transported to another world, and he was indeed right about it all.
Dungeon Core A.I: Of fucking course, you've been isekaied. You stupid marron. This is no longer your bedroom... Can't you see the obvious signs?
The dungeon core a.i itself shouted loudly at Allen Walter, its voice echoing inside his head. The loud voice entering his head is starting to give himself a headache.
"Alright, alright. I get it already. Would you please stop shouting? You are starting to give me a splitting headache." Allen Walter said as he starts to survey the cave room.
Dungeon Core A.I: Fine...
The dungeon core a.i responded.
"So where the hell are you, you mysterious voice?" Allen Walter asked.
He turned his head around as he slowly surveyed across the entirety of 3×3 meters small enclosed cave room, but all he found was the sole dungeon core crystal floating amidst a stone pedestal, located at the center of the room.
"Where are you?" Allen Walter decided to ask the mysterious voice again.
Dungeon Core A.I: You are already looking at it. I am the dungeon core crystal located at the center of this room.

"Huh... So you are that blue thing that is located at the center of this room." Allen Walter said. He repeated whatever he just heard, with a face displaying visible shock.
Dungeon Core A.I: Yes and no at the same time.
The dungeon core a.i spoke to Allen Walter himself.
"What do you mean? Please explain yourself blue thing?" Allen Walter was visibly confused, so he asked the dungeon core a.i itself.
Dungeon Core A.I: Calling yourself a blue thing is extremely degrading...
"That is not possible. You can't possibly be me, because I'm me. There can only be one of me in this world." Allen Walter felt a bit insulted, as he tries to find reasoning on what the dungeon core a.i just said.
Dungeon Core A.I: Let me finished whatever I say first before you suddenly jumped to conclusions.
The dungeon core a.i itself then asked Allen Walter to be patient, as it would later explain whatever it is and how it suddenly came into existence.
"Alright then, I will listen to you for now." Allen Walter said as he sat down and comfortably find a seat right next to the dungeon core crystal.
Dungeon Core A.I: Whatever I've said before about me being you and you being me is technically true.
"How is this possible?" Allen Walter asked himself a question.
He scrutinises his brows to visibly showcase his confused facial expressions.
Dungeon Core A.I: I am technically a part of you, Allen. I am your subconsciousness... When you were transported to this world, a piece of you was ripped out from yourself when you successfully become a Dungeon Lord.
"This..." Allen Walter is visibly at a loss for words, as he could not find a suitable word to truly explain himself now. He is filled with so many complex emotions right now.
Dungeon Core A.I: The tore out subconsciousness of the host will then fused with the dungeon core itself, thereby developing its own artificial intelligence. The dungeon core a.i is installed with all the necessary information, help info, and details in order to aide their original self.
The dungeon core a.i itself is designed after the original host. So it contains all of the host's personal memories and their personality.
"This. This is a lot to take in right now." Allen Walter said, as his hands and arms are visibly shaken.
It's not fright that he is experiencing right now. This emotion. It's excitement. He is not experiencing fear right now, but excitement. A sense of joy.
Allen Walter is certainly amazed at what he just heard from the dungeon core a.i made from himself.
Dungeon Core A.I: Well, take your time. I have plenty of time here in this world by myself already.
The dungeon core a.i said to Allen Walter.
"Wait a minute! Since you are technically me a part of me, calling you an a.i don't felt right to me." Allen Walter said as he starts to thought up some plan.

Dungeon Core A.I: Oh, so what would you suggest to call me then, original me?
"Since you are me and I am you. So let's go with this..." Allen Walter said, "Since I am the original and first one, I get to keep the first name. So I'm Allen and you get our last name, Walter. Together we will be Allen Walter, our full name."
Walter: Well, that is a lot better than I could think of. It would save me some time. If it was me, I would just suddenly come up with a random name out of the open.
The newly named dungeon core a.i Walter spoke to Allen with some enthusiasm.
"Well, that's good then," Allen said so with a happy smile plastered on his face. "So what now?"
Walter: With the formal introduction over and done with. We should get on and start improving our dungeon space if you haven't seen the place. We are plainly in just a 3×3 meters cave room. It could hardly be classified as a Dungeon.
Walter, the dungeon core a.i then commented on theIr current situation.
"So what do we do now then?" Allen asked Walter on what to do.
Walter: The first thing you should do is to check your status screen first. To access your status you must first open up the dungeon interface. To open up the dungeon interface just need to think of the keyword 'interface' to open up the dungeon interface.
Walter gave Allen a detailed explanation and some simple instructions to follow.
Allen followed the precise instructions as he thought of the keyword 'interface' inside his head, and a blue screen then pops up in front of him, which is the dungeon interface, thereby displaying him a list of options.
Dungeon Interface Status Skill Inventory [0/100] Loot Trap Summon Creation Expansion 223 DP = 223 MP Currency 0g 0s 0c
Allen then presses on the status option of the dungeon interface screen in order to open his status screen.
Dungeon Points are the same equivalent to Mana Points. A dungeon obtains DP through the consumption of another being's mana points.
Let's say a mage with an adventurers party of three enters a dungeon. The more the adventurers use their skills to which consumes their mana to slay monsters withinside the dungeon, the more DP the Dungeon Master gain.

All starting up dungeon start at the lowest rank of them all, rank z-.
The dungeon rank will slowly increase over time as the monster that is found inhabiting your dungeon. Stronger monsters and sentient creatures will allow you to get more points to increase your overall dungeon rank and rating.
With each tier of dungeon rank, you go up; with the more floor and rooms you built in your dungeon, the dungeon Lord will grow all the more stronger.
However, within this world, there are two types of dungeons. The ones that are relatively known as true dungeons, born with a sentient dungeon lord to operate the dungeon.
And the others are known as pest dungeons, the relative collection of grudges and negative emotions from deceased monsters and creatures that comes together to form a hive mind.
Pest dungeons are known to be extremely hostile, lacking any sense of reasoning and intelligence. It will try to attack anyone indiscriminately.
However, just like him, there are special circumstances, if a capable individual or monster is strong enough to subdue the aggressive consciousness of the pest dungeon. They may be able to become a Dungeon Lord by some means, enabling the pest dungeon to transformed into an actual true dungeon.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
