Trampas immediately asked for a case of Coor's and another pack of smokes.
Ever since Trampas found something called a roujiamo he had been dying to have a real American hamburger but near as he could find there were no tomatoes therefore no ketchup. The cheese he found wasn't quite right, but any port in a storm they say. He found sweet cucumber pickles which he cut for his purpose. Onions were easily found as well as spicy mustard. Without ketchup, he knew he'd be missing something important, but he wasn't going to commit sacrilege and put mayonnaise on his burger like some kind of European piece of garbage.
He couldn't find any potatoes here, so he made a side of onion rings to go with his burger. The bread they made was weird, but after talking to a couple of the sect's bakers he found a guy that could make a proper hamburger bun for him. He had to grind his beef to get the proper consistency, but thankfully with his cultivation, it was an easy job and only took a couple of extra minutes.
The hardest part was finding the right tools. He had to visit a blacksmith to get a deep fryer and a proper grill. The smith helped him make a good burger flipper as well as a frying basket for his onion rings. Nearly the entire day was spent visiting the baker and the blacksmith just for this dinner. The ladies didn't understand why this was all necessary and spent the day cultivating instead of going along.
Trampas taste tested an onion ring and smiled as he licked his fingers clean. "I weren't sure about the timing on frying these, damn if they aren't the taste I've been craving. That is what America should taste like right here. Deep-fried food."
Trampas brought out their plates one by one and then brought out his plate. On one side was a large cheeseburger with grilled onions, pickles, and a small amount of spicy mustard. On the other side were a dozen beer-battered onion rings. Trampas sat down and popped the top on a can of Coor's.
Tutor Chen asked, "What do you call this?"
Trampas licked his lips and then clapped his hand together and rubbed them, "This here is a good ol' fashioned America Cheeseburger and onion rings!"
Tutor Chen looked at the other ladies and then asked, "Tea Dubuya, what is an Amarikana Chisubirukera?"
"First of all you got to break that down, you see, then you start with America, greatest country on Earth. That stands for freedom cause unlike your communist China we got capitalism which allows a man to earn a living from his hard work.

Then you got the Burger. What makes it a Cheeseburger is the cheese. You take a slice of cheese and lay it across the top of the burger just before you place the top half of the bun on. A real burger is supposed to have ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions. There ain't no ketchup here so I went with mustard, grilled onions, and pickles."
They each took a bite and made a surprised face at the taste. Zi Chyou was the first to say, "Tea Dubuya, this is amazing!"
Tutor Chen nodded in agreement and said, "The onion rings go well with it!"
Fairy Bai made a face and said, "Tea Dubuya, it's so hard to eat without making a mess. Are they always so big?"
Trampas smiled at her and then said, "In America, everything is bigger and better."

Trampas whistled and then said, "I need to take first place in Red Runner Clan rankings."
Fairy Bai smiled and said, "I heard that the top guys on the list are at the 5th layer of Foundation Building."
"Well, shit then I better get to cultivating. I am only at the first layer." Trampas sighed as he looked at his half-eaten cheeseburger. "When does the tournament start?"
Fairy Bai swallowed a bite of her burger and then answered, "In two days, Tea Dubuya. It takes nearly two weeks to crown a champion. They take a day off between fights so that everyone can fight at their full strength."
"Ladies, do you plan on taking part in the tournament?" Trampas asked not caring about which way they answered.
Tutor Chen looked at the girls and then said, "I only have a cultivation at the 4th layer of Qi Refining, but the girls insist that my cultivation will be at the 9th by tournament start. So, I figure I should at least get a ranking near the bottom."
Zi Chyou nodded and replied, "My cultivation is at the 7th layer right now so I might reach the Foundation Building realm."
Fairy Bai grinned and said, "Same for me, I have my cultivation at the 8th layer already."
Trampas nodded and then said, "If y'all like we can take some time each day after Tutor Chen's lessons to practice some fighting techniques."
The women looked excited and nodded happily.

"Alright then, y'all go in and start cultivating something fierce, I'll do the same. Tomorrow morning we'll have Tutor Chen's lesson like normal, then in the afternoon, we'll have my class on American Wrestling. We'll let the elders know, cause they want to learn it to teach the other disciples. Plus, we can use the elders to practice on so y'all don't end up hurting each other."
They finished up dinner and then took a few minutes to clean up after that before finding separate rooms to begin cultivating. Each of them made significant progress in their cultivation. The sounds of people breaking through layers were heard from all corners of the house.
FfffffaaAaaAaaaart! Squeak! Pop! BOOM! FaaaaAaaAaAaaaart! Squeak! Boom!"
There would be a line for the bathroom for sure. Trampas knew he'd have some extra time to cultivate knowing that the women would need extra time to clean themselves and wouldn't be willing to suffer from impurities on their skin the way he could.
When morning rolled around Trampas had managed to break through several layers of the Foundation Building realm. He released his aura showing a 3rd layer Foundation Building cultivation. When Fairy Bai finally made her way out, he could sense that she had just reached the Foundation Building realm. Zi Chyou was at the peak of the 9th layer of Qi Refining and Tutor Chen had made it to the 8th layer.
Tutor Chen taught politics and history with an emphasis on politics in history. Trampas wasn't very keen on learning what he called, "Commie BS." But he stuck it through and even seemed to have grasped much more than Tutor Chen thought based on his body language. Just after they had lunch a group of the sect's elders arrived.
The oldest member of the group was a short pudgy elder who looked to be around 80 years old with four gold lines in his black circle named Elder Zhang. He introduced several other elders who were all interested in learning his battle techniques. Most of the elders who came were 3 line elders and one who was a 2 line.
One of the elders gasped out loud and then approached Tutor Chen, Fair Bai, Zi Chyou, and Trampas, "Elder Zhang! I am afraid all of our intel was wrong. These aren't people new to cultivation, they are all at the 8th layer of Qi Refining and above... Two of them are already Foundation Building powerhouses!"
The elders looked shocked and then extremely excited as they now felt differently about these women who accompanied Trampas. The elders as a group gave a martial arts salute and bowed down to Trampas and his women. Elder Zhang chuckled and then said, "It looks like my Red Runner Clan didn't just net one genius, but four! Good good good!" He cleared his throat and said, "You young people may not understand what this means for us, but our other core disciples are all in their 40s. The Blood Sword sect will only allow us to send cultivators under 30. You four will be the first disciples to represent our Clan at their entrance exam in 100 years! This is a great honor for the Red Runner Clan. It means great things for us."
Trampas gave a thumbs up and then said, "I'm gonna teach y'all about American professional wrestling today. The greatest martial art known to man." He looked everyone in the eye and then continued, "I saw all that karate shit y'all do, but if there is anything that decades of UFC MMA have taught us is that y'all need to understand your wrestling if you want to win against a man one on one. What good is having all that strength if you are just gonna throw out simple punches and kicks? When a man lays his hands on you, you won't have room to throw a pretty kick or a fancy punch."
He looked at the elders and then asked, "Which one of y'all thinks he can kick my ass in a fight, raise your hands?"
Every elder raised their hand.
Trampas chuckled and then picked out one of the elders. The biggest and strongest of the bunch an elder with a black circle with three white stripes. "Could you give your cultivation and name please?"
"Of course, I am Elder Ma, and my cultivation is 4th layer of Foundation Building." Elder Ma bowed and gave a martial arts cupped fist salute.
"If you don't mind, Elder Ma, I would like to demonstrate how wrestling works against your karate shit. Go ahead and attack me like you normally would. We'll do it once at full speed, then we'll do it again at slow speed so you can see exactly what is being done." Trampas said.
Elder Ma smirked and then unleashed a powerful palm attack aimed at Trampas's upper body.

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.
