《My Life As A Magician》Chapter 35

Clarrie was making her way up the hill. She sat down beside Josh. No words were exchanged. It was clear that she had told him my side of the story. They both knew I had been disappeared.

“I’ve been visiting him in hospital,” Clarrie said.

Josh looked at her.

“He can’t bring her back.”

Josh blinked, and looked back down at the university.

I could see in Clarrie’s mind that she was working in the hospital, healing Mr Bishop. She knew that his anger was expressed through magic. She understood it all. Ripples of light ran through my body as I felt she was in her element, making good for herself as a healer in the world.

Clarrie put her arm around Josh as they stared at the buildings below.

I sat next to Josh, hypersensitive to this physical world, and hypersensitive to feeling their feelings. A warm glow filled my heart, and I felt nothing but love and compassion for my best and only friends I ever had. It was almost as if nothing had changed, but everything had changed.

I had become the magic I always was. As warmth filled my body, a rainbow formed over the town.

Josh and Clarrie looked up.

“Maybe that’s Arcadia,” said Josh.

I realised it was me. I am the rainbow. The atmosphere. The quantum. The element of magic.
