《Criminal Lord》Chapter 8. Enter The Dungeon

“We were to work together on this, so why, why did you do this,” Terry asked as he pulled back his dagger from the body of Gilian.
“Cough, when I swore my undying loyalty to Heckel, the condition was so that we would live together and die together. Now that you succeeded in killing him, my life has been forfeited. But I trust you and decide that you are the one I shall truly give my life for. I wish for my death to mean something instead of dying in bed,” said Gilian as blood continued to trickle fast outside of his body through his pierced chest.
“Well, the major damage was done by himself as his magic was running rampant and since his level was likely much higher than mine, I merely used his own strength against him. But still, as I have killed him, my level has increased massively and your level should naturally do the same. Well, I admire your decision, you wish to die by making me owe you and I assume you wish for me to manage your refugees, right?” Terry asked with a sigh.
“I made the right decision to die by your hand. The group is currently making their way into the castle while being led by the best. While weak, they are very valuable and I assure you that they will not be worthless,” responded Gilian.
“Wait what? Why are they all coming here instead of fleeing?” Terry questioned angrily.
“You have killed Heckel, the mighty king of DInstorm. Yet he was also the weakest as he was required to keep his level low for the Left Hand of Thomalus which is said to overload a person if they are too strong or too weak. That's why you were able to win against such a towering foe. Now that he's been killed, you must flee into the dungeon and use what I've prepared for you to survive,” the man said with a slight laugh.
“I shall at least listen to the words of a dying man, tell me, what kind of dungeon is it? How many refugees do you want me to watch over? How do I exactly-”
[Level Up! 69/100]
Terry stared upon the body that he held tightly in his grasp as it began to slouch and Terry felt no more pulse. Terry looked at Gilian’s arm which connected to a clenched fist that began to open to reveal a thick armband. Terry grabbed the arm and placed it upon his arm with a click!
[(High) Spatial Storage ArmBand acquired, currently full, do you wish to open? Yes/No]
Hmm, Terry thought. Considering how I’m surrounded by a bunch of people who want to kill me, I think I’ll wait before opening my presents. “Heh, he’s dead, and right after just shoving a bunch of info at me which I tried my best to process. Now I’m naked, bloody, bewildered, and most importantly, I’m excited!” Terry yelled as he gripped his sword from the ground and charged upon his opponents who were readying to kill him as well.
Terry’s skills were still active as he zipped through many once ‘deadly’ enemies who had now become either ‘weak’ or even ‘insignificant’ to him.
“Priests, heal the king, we can handle this fool!” yelled several guards who had finally recollected their thoughts and begun to fight. The soldiers and ‘priests’ began to charge towards Terry in order to possibly save their king and to get revenge upon the assassin before them.
“Wait, how can he be alive?” cried one of the soldiers.

“Look at his skin, he even healed himself, if you have ‘Appraisal,’ use it, he’s no crusader, he’s a vampire!” yelled the soldiers as they used what courage they had to attack the foe before them.
“Now then, I finally have my strength in comparison to the rest of the world similar to back on Earth. While I should take time to think about what Gilian said, there’s no way in hell that I’d pass up this opportunity to kill like I did back in the day!” Terry cried as he began to tear through his enemies.
Slash! Clash! Swing! Bam! Slash! Crack! Swing! Splurt! Clang! Clang! Slash! Whoosh! Crash! Slash!
Terry tore through his enemies with great ease and speed. Although this was his first attempt at using such power and because he had felt such strength, he had been struck by his opponents several times and had also missed several hits. But even with all that, with his sheer strength, he felt no major damage and his wounds healed much faster. His foes couldn’t hope to defeat him at his strength.
Crash! Clang! Bash! Crash!
Terry swung around to meet a massive man, around double his size, swinging a large mace at him. Terry was able to dodge the first hit but had to use his sword in order to parry the next hit before jumping and using his fist in order to punch his foe directly in the neck, choking him and knocking him back.
Within a few minutes, Terry had killed several opponents and so only a few remained inside the room who mostly feared for their lives.
“I feel awesome! I haven’t done a solo raid in a while! Hahahaha! Doing whatever I want is just the best! Haha-”
Crack! Whoosh! Bam!
“Ow, c’mon man,” Terry coughed up as he began to rise to his feet from the rubble. He had been knocked by the larger man with the mace, all the way into a wall, shattering it.
“You’re good, but you’re a damn r*tard. King Heckel may have been killed by you but only because you weren’t expected to be a vampire. Tell me, you weren’t sent from the church and Heckel would’ve known if you were a vampire and dealt with you accordingly on the spot with how cautious he is. So you must be quite experienced. Weirdly though, Gilian, the most loyal man to Heckel has betrayed him. I can’t believe it but I can just interrogate you easily enough,” said the large man. The man was double the size of Terry and covered in thick black armor that made him have nearly no openings. The man also held a massive steel mace that had begun to produce fire. “Soldiers, back off for now. There’s been enough deaths, secure the rest of the castle for now while we take care of him.”
“Heh, you wish to face me? Interesting, but what did you mean by ‘we’?” Terry asked slowly.
“He means me,” whispered a voice to Terry. Terry smiled before simply tensing his sword arm and chucking it upon the large man, completely ignoring the voice which Terry could only imagine to be a woman behind him.
Slash!
“How did you-”
“Heh, no experienced assassin announces their presence to the enemy when they are truly about to kill them. I knew that my reaction was the weapon you hoped to use upon me. These things don’t even require a single skill from one such as I, who’s been the number one assassin for several years. I probably invented many of your strategies, such as…” Terry began as he watched the large man thrown off balance in surprise by Terry’s attack. Heh, he was probably hoping for a chance to strike if Terry got surprised. Well, Terry now lost his only weapon, according to them…

Terry swung around to meet his other foe head on as he grasped her soft neck and smashed her into the ground.
“For the ability to sneak up upon me, you must be incredibly skilled and fast. But also weak. Heh, many of my friends used to always ‘pick up’ girls. But me, I prefer to smash down girls. But I’m a man you see, don’t interfere any further into my fight,” Terry glared strongly into the eyes of the woman before him. She was an assassin, short blue hair covered her head and some kind of elastic and strong black armor stretched across her body. Her chest was quite large and caused her armor to stretch quite a bit. The woman had a thin but quite muscular body which only one of immense skill could notice. She held a pair of daggers, each with enough electricity running through them to possibly paralyze Terry had he given her the chance. But still, he didn’t have time to waste considering how he just murdered a king. There could be plenty of nobles or guards who could slaughter him within minutes from what he had been told. And apparently he also had to help the refugees enter a dungeon under the throne room. Well, he had no reason to help anybody when it would be difficult for him to survive himself, but he needed allies in order to make an army like he had before. And if he saved people and was their only hope, he could utilize them however he pleased.
Terry looked upon the woman in his grasp again and smiled.

Whoosh!
Similar to what had happened in all previous uses, all those in the room fell to the ground which were a few soldiers and people in robes by the mangled king and the massive man before Terry.
Terry began to hear sounds outside of the castle gates while he stood in the throne room, feared by all.
“You, a vampire with the power of a demon king? I, Eldron Jvelgor, the leader of the royal guard, shall not be bested by a regicide with no mercy!” roared the man before Terry as the armor upon the man began to glow. He struck Terry’s sword with his massive mace, shattering it, before charging at Terry.
“You people never learn, I was being merciful out of a dislike to kill such valuable bystanders in order to be more professional, but if you insist. After all, I am the Criminal Lord,” Terry said with a frown of annoyance as he stretched his mouth long before his teeth became fangs. Terry then smiled as he lifted the woman before him to those very fangs and smiled at his opponent who froze instantly after lifting his massive mace, ready to throw it upon Terry, possibly turning him into a burning mush.
“Go ahead, cuz once you do, your head will become a pile of ash and blood,” said the large man fiercely as his arms tensed while holding his flaming mace that lit up like a bonfire. No wonder the large man had such thick armor.
[Activating Read Minds]
Damn it! Why did he have to figure it out. If only Jasmine didn’t decide to use that strategy. How could he have known our strategy to distract him and even be able to use it to reverse the effects back towards us. I can’t just let this bastard vampire suck Jasmine’s blood. Damn it, I promised Beltran I’d protect her! But what can I do with this crazy psycho who’s gonna kill her anyway?! Jasmine is best at killing normal people by using natural psychology and her massive stats but this guy must be crazy since none of that worked. If only she was as strong as me. Damn, I’m glad that Heckel has finally died and everything but I can’t exactly do anything when his sons will kill me and Jasmine just like they did with the rest of my family. This guy is acting all happy but he has no idea that Heckel was actually only the 3rd strongest inside Dinstorm which means I can’t survive by joining this psycho and I can’t survive by fighting him and failing. Why does this sh*t happen to me?!?!
Terry frowned as his head began to hurt quite a bit and he felt a bit dizzy. He nullified his fangs and stared deep into the eyes of his foe as he steadied the terrified woman he held.
“My work is done. I’m not here to kill either of you, in fact, I can sense a valiant spirit in your eyes. Especially after you withstood my skills. I won’t further intimidate you but know, you can’t kill me,” Terry said with a look of respect and pity towards his foe.
“What the hell do you mean, take one more step and I’ll kill you, you don’t scare me,” said the large man.
“Firstly, your skill to make yourself larger is probably weakening, secondly-”
[Activating Spur]
Terry zipped over to his massive foe and handed him the girl in his arms.
“What are you doing?” asked the man angrily.
“Admit it, both of us don’t wish to fight each other. In fact, I’ll come out and say it, I read your mind and know what kind of person you are. You won’t kill me. That’s why I have a proposition, join m-”
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Boss! I've brought the refugees!” called Ryan from behind the massive gates to enter the throne room.
“Well, knowing I read your mind is all you need to know at the moment. And since there’s apparently much stronger opponents for me to face, I assume that Gilian was right. I hope you’ll understand what I mean when I say ‘bust the floor’ for me. Now I’ll allow my reinforcements to arrive even though it’s just a bunch of cannon fodder,” Terry said as he began to step towards the gate where he heard several pounds and voices from behind.
The large man froze in terror and stared at Terry as he walked to open the gate.
“Are you crazy?! The dungeon is what you plan to do?! Not even Heckel, me, his sons, and a massive part of the army combined could survive the dungeon. The first few floors should be easy enough but going further in, we barely survived by being lucky enough to find a hidden exit portal to escape with our lives!” yelled the large man.
“Tell me, would you choose certain death, or delayed death? Although, I refuse to die at the hands of such foolish children. If I’m to die, it will be to reshape this world,” Terry said as he placed his hand upon the massive door. “Hey buddy, you mind opening this, I can’t open it.”
“Why not just break it down?” suggested the large man as he raised his mace above the ground.
“Damn, I’ll never get used to this place. Instead of technology to one-shot everything, I actually use my fists, well, okay then. I keep forgetting just how strong I am now,” Terry said as he locked his hand into the handle of the door before him.

Tear!
Terry stood with his large muscles tensed as he tore a massive door from its hinges. Both the large man and the countless refugees outside were amazed but also began flooding inside of the throne room as if chased by something.
“Still don’t believe me strong enough!?” yelled Terry, amazed at his own strength from reaching such a high level. Never before had he even dreamed of such strength but as he was the strongest in his previous life, a life where everything has become stronger was bound to surprise him with unfathomable power.
“Y-you can use skills of such power without a cooldown?!” cried the large man as he began to dissipate his flame.
“What? Am I expected to just sit for a few minutes in between beating the sh*t out of people? Well, to put you further at ease, all of my skills are maxed, that’s how I succeeded in the murder of your king. So hurry up and bust through the floor so we can survive.
“Boss, we need to go now- what the f*ck happened here!?!?!?!” cried Ryan as he looked into the bloodstained room while many of the refugees had similar reactions but still charged into the throne room which signified how terrified the refugees were from whatever ever chased them.
“I killed the king and a bunch of guards. Don’t worry though, this big bastard is joining us,” Terry said with a smile as he glared at the large man to hurry up.
“Gilian, he’s dead! He really died! Damn, it, this bastard killed Gilian!” screamed many of the refugees as they ran to Terry.
“Back off, while I hate him, Gilian trusted him and we’ll need his help if we’re to live!” yelled the man Terry recognized who guarded the building where Gilian lived.
“Heh, thanks buddy, I’m glad I don’t have to kill those I’m supposed to protect. Well, I’m glad that you guys know everything, well then, you guys ready?” Terry asked as the remaining refugees flooded into the room.
“Plenty of soldiers are attacking us. We can’t exactly fight so many powerful foes so lots of us died, we gotta go now before they catch us!” yelled the man in response.
“Tch! Hey big, black guy, hurry up and bust through the floor to get these guys to safety and tell me where the treasury is! Ryan, you stay here, these guys need all the help they can get!” Terry commanded.
“You can’t be serious!” roared the large man in black armor.
[Activating Intimidation]
“You want to die?” Terry asked with a deadly glare.
“Haah, well, better to die doing my best to save innocent people, it's not like I have anything too valuable at my home either, f*ck it!” yelled the man as he raised his mace high and threw it to Terry.
“Your skills are stronger and easier to use than mine, use this and bust through, then we gotta use the crown to open up the dungeon below here!” yelled the large man as he ran to the throne where the mangled corpse of the king sat.
“Tch,” Terry said as he caught the heavy hunk of metal and raised it high while most of the refugees simply crowded around him except for a few who held large blunt weapons who began hitting the floor.

Wham!
The ground shook fiercely as Terry brought the mace to strike the thick floor with all his might. Many of the refugees fell to their knees at the shockwave that was an earthquake in and of itself. The mace was then lifted to reveal a crater surrounded by dust in the floor. Although a mere crater wasn’t nearly enough, there were probably stairs to enter the dungeon below normally, but sadly, there was nothing that could be done as Terry had no way of knowing where and since he had to get the refugees out of a warzone as fast as possible. Terry raised the large mace again.
Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Crumble!
Terry looked upon the floor as it began to crumble under his feet and he lifted the mace. After jumping high out of his massive fall with great strength, he looked to the large man in black who stood by the throne, holding the king’s crown.
“I leave this place to you fools while I go to the treasury of this place quickly. So tell me, where exactly is it?” Terry asked as blood splattered across his face and even more screams rang throughout the already bloody room.
“What the fuc-”
Zing!
“Tch!” Terry said as he rushed toward the gate which he had forced open. Before him, were the corpses of several refugees as they frantically ran forward, weak, bloody, weaponless. They were innocent, killing harmless innocents was a line that even Terry in the blindest of rages had done once, a forbidden memory.
“Alright change of plans, I can’t waste any time by going to the treasury no matter how angry I become. Human life is far more valuable than all that sh*t. Hurry up and enter the dungeon, I can hold whoever’s out there for at least a while,” Terry said angrily as he charged to meet his new foes.
“Terry! Take your sword, a mace isn’t good for you to use!” called out Ryan as he held Terry's sword which he had gotten from the bunker.
“No, this’ll do fine,” Terry responded as he tensed up his body again. He hadn’t had so much action before. Then again, Terry had an army to back him up on each of his previous raids upon one of great political power. Terry also knew that running away would mean certain death as attacking a fleeing foe made a battle half the difficulty.

“Now I can finally see who’s been messing with my plans of reputation,” Terry said aloud as he zipped out of the torn gate and onto the steps he had climbed merely a few minutes before. How interesting how any place regardless of how peaceful could become a warzone within such a scoffable amount of time.
“Kill him, this bastard has no armor, skewer him!” yelled several hundred soldiers as they charged up the stairs upon Terry, weapons in arm and covered in armor.
“Wait! From what I can see, he’ll slaughter you all within seconds. He’s way too strong for all of you as he has become closer to my level,” said a short, fat man who walked through the crowd of soldiers and caused all of the soldiers to tremble in fear and respect.

[Royal Prince=Dangerous] Notice, Royal Prince is a Legendary class.
“Heh, you’re just a little munchkin. If I was fat and gay, I would hapilly eat you. But as I am now, I would much rather kill you for ruining my day. Although I am a vampire so I guess I might devour you if you manage to actually lay a single scratch on me,” Terry said with a smile.
Many of the soldiers looked fearfully at the prince as his face became twisted in sheer rage. The man who was barely 4’ 7” sat down in order to calm himself before speaking again.
“Why did you do it? Why kill my father?” asked the prince.
“I can read your mind right now, and it’s telling me that you actually don’t care about your father’s death even if you are a prince. Correction, you are glad that your father is dead because you are a prince. Don’t worry, I fulfilled the mission so you don’t have to worry about a thing,” Terry said with a smile that revealed blood dripping from his tongue.
“What, how could you read my- err, I mean, you’re lying right now. I know you can’t be telling the truth. We all loved our father and would never dare send an assassin to murder him. That’s it, you’re dead!” yelled the small man as his body began to become blackened and larger.
Many soldiers murmured to themselves and turned from Terry to the prince in suspicion.
“Heh, hehehe! You idiot, of course I’m supposed to die, how else are you gonna keep up your reputation as a ‘prince who is trying his best to take up his father’s legacy’? Besides, my orders didn’t come from your dumbass, they came from your siblings who actually have a brain. Even so though, I took the mission because unlike you guys, I have a goal, to rule this world as a king. I mean, god has his throne set upon the heavens so that’s impossible, but a king of the world, that’s the easiest sh*t possible. Especially with stupid n*ggas like you in power who keep betraying each other,” Terry said with another grin.
“You dare make such remarks, die!” yelled the chubby prince as his originally white skinned body became almost completely black and then covered in streaks of red or at least very dark orange. The prince lunged at Terry while many of the soldiers took a while to figure out what Terry had said. Many of the soldiers who were originally attempting to slaughter all in sight were now murmuring amongst themselves in order to figure out if what Terry said was true. After all, Terry didn't care about cleanup work for his assassinations but had to do everything he could in order to survive.
“So then, you admit. Well, I don’t enjoy cleaning up after myself but I guess I’ll have to do so. Now shut up and fight,” Terry said as he stood with his back to the tear in the gate. Terry had begun to notice many of the refugees panicking and such at the deaths of numerous others, but the stronger ones that Gilian mentioned were managing pretty well and moving things along. They were smart people and Terry knew that enslaving them would prove worthwhile. As long as Terry made his way down into the dungeon and could survive the horrors that awaited him.
The prince stood atop the ground in his blackened body as flames began to erupt from the streaks across his skin and out of his mouth.
“Damn, now you are the hottest guy I ever met. Except for that one guy I nuked. Hahahaha!” laughed Terry as he continued to flex his muscles and stretch in order to buy as much time as possible while the soldiers stood and tried to figure things out about if Terry was right about the prince being a traitor.
Fwoom!
Fire erupted from the body of the prince as he charged at Terry at blinding speeds while Terry became still in response.
“Din din, din din, din din, din din, din din, din din, din din, din din, din! Du nu na na na naa! Du nu na na na na na na na na!” Terry sang as he glared upon his foe in the last few seconds before his flaming foe would collide with him at such heat that he would char immediately.

The prince shook violently as terror filled his eyes. Unlike with the dude who Terry had befriended who also resisted Terry’s skill quite a bit, Terry was filled with rage upon his current foe who would dare to harm unharmed refugees and knew that rage directly translated into the skill out of his memory of his first usage of the skill. But even with all that, the prince sped towards Terry at uncontrollable speeds which were still just as dangerous. The only difference was that the prince was trembling insanely but knew that he could win and kept himself going.
“Good job, but don't forget, playing music makes a baseball player play much harder,” Terry said as he swung the massive mace he held across the flaming body of his opponent with a loud crack! before launching him through the massive army of soldiers, burning and knocking many to the ground within seconds.
Terry groaned in anger and pain as he felt his burning charred skin peel from his once frigid blood and flesh. Had Terry been a normal person with a warm blooded body, he would’ve been incinerated before he had gotten the chance to strike back.
Terry had suffered major damage from the prince and looked at the large mace in his hands as it had a massive dent at the point of connection along with the fact that it was drooping dangerously low to the ground from melting. The power of the flames were much higher than with Ryan as the weapon Terry in his hands was specifically meant for controlling fire which was of incredible power when Terry’s opponent had used it. Yet when a prince simply took a hit instead of even inflicting, the powerful mace was damaged quite a lot, rendering it heavily damaged. Although, Terry was still very lucky to have succeeded in even that.
“Boss, for better or for worse they’ve all jumped inside the massive hole you made. The drop is several meters down so I’m not sure they survived but we got nowhere else and some guards are entering through the castle itself. We gotta hurry up!” cried Ryan as a few more refugees continued to enter the massive hole in the ground that Terry had made with several strikes.
After looking at his disrupted opponents who were unable to figure out what to do next, Terry leapt back into the throne room and neared the hole in the floor.
“Grand lord of metal, pierce through my foe and rend him into two that his heretic existence may be purged. Guillotine,” said a voice far behind Terry as he felt his lower body become separated from his lower body and he fell deep into the hole while covered in both the blood of his enemies and his own blood.

“Heh, hehehe! The rays of sunlight cannot reach this deep. Even better, the majority of dungeons exist deep into the earth or in another dimension which allows me to keep this form for quite some time. Me and Terry can have a serious question. Still, I never expected that he would have such a goal, since he was betrayed, he wishes to enslave all who live in this world and rule over them. Well, I’m glad to help with such a dream, as long as I can ravage the Temple and all in it. Now then, time to enter a dungeon, I haven’t been inside one in a while but this’ll help us out quite a lot in order to survive. Hehehe! I can’t wait!”
