《D.W》chapter 1: A Mutual Understanding

as the revelation of becoming a dungeon manager fades A high pitch voice sounds inside my head screaming to me
"Finally a new dungeon manager"
As that irritating sound left my mind I scream
"Who's there and get out of my head" in a tone to express my extreme rage in the situation the high pitched voice rings again but not in my mind like last time but from the dungeon core
"Sorry abut that its just Ben so long since I spoke with another so I forgot that other species use sound not mind contact, anyway where's Francis hes my friend an I can't sense his presence"
With this sentence I can presume that this Ryan is either the old manager or likely the dog that I just used for the ritual so I replied with.
" that depends, is Francis a dog or was he your old manager"
In the next instance the core answers with
"Francis was both, he was a pet of a adventurer that came here to take me away but Francis stopped him before he even touched me and weirdly the adventurers body died against my pedestal that turned the closest living thing into my manager"
From hearing this I am sadden by the story of Francis the dungeon dog manager but this also explains the state of the dungeon since all of the improvements needed for a dungeon need a sentient beings mind to operate so this lead to the stagnation of this dungeons growth, without beating around the bush I outright tell the core.
"well that is saddening since for the ritual for me to become the dungeon manager I used the old grey dog that was here when I arrived so i have to tell you Francis is dead"
at the moment i say dead the sound of tears falling can be heard from the core but not a single of droplet is formed, this causes me to show guilt upon my face before the core replies with the light sound of sobbing mixed into its voice.

"that's sad to hear, he was such a good friend with him telling me of the outside world but he was a old with little life left in him so he was gonna die soon"
A inhale sound can be heard " but i would guess he would be happy to help me one last time, so who are you"
I reply to the grieving core with
"my name is Ryan colours, I was a human noble before my parents kidnapped me and here I am your new dungeon manager."
the dungeon was silent for a moment before saying " well hello Ryan my name is core 5837 but when Francis was alive he gave me the nickname Megan"
the naming taste of this dog must of been really weird if he called a dungeon core Megan but it is a lot quicker than calling it core 5837 so I'll stick to using the nickname.
"So Megan how old are you as a dungeon anyway?"
She responds too quickly for any other person to actually respond with "I'm around 7 years old and my core type is F-287-EN which means my personality is a female variation with the current capacity too hold up to 287 monsters an my core is embedded in my pedestal"
With the sudden dump of information given by Megan this leads to even more questions about her so I reply with.
"Well it's nice to working with you now" I say with the first smile on my face in the years of my life where i was abducted by my parents. . .
