Chapter 14- The team 2 – The poison master

Wind sword sect, guest housing area , in a palace, “Elder I think it’s time to return to the sect, I have made my decision” Tian said as he came out of his room in the morning to the waiting elder.

“Did you decide to spent your punishment here”, the elder asked, “No the flaming saber sect was more suitable “, Tian said

The elder had a little irritating look on his face as he left to make the preparation to go back to jade sword sect.

Well it seems that I am not a great travelling companion I thought I was , Tian thought. Tian used the transportation formation between sects to travel so the journey was fairly easy.

I need to find a way to deal with all the participants inside the realm, I can’t fight them head on, I don’t need to beat them, I just have to keep them away from me so that I can take the golden lotus. Something quick and effective that can take out most of them without a sound, like a tranquilizer. Suddenly Tian remembered one of his fight in the tournament where a disciple used poison arts and he could not get close to attack that disciple it was a inner disciple who was in core formation stage, (in chapter 8) and he used poison darts at me, but if I could evade them then the other participants could do it, but if they don’t know it , a poison gas that could put even core formation cultivator to sleep, I don’t want to kill them and have all the powers of huang realm on my ass.

I used my restrictions formation on him, he would recognize me if I used it on him. And any other of my moves that could potential identify me, best if I did not fight at all.

After reaching Tian did not do anything timing was everything. He had two more weeks till the special realm opened and participants entered. He was currently in the Heavenly pagoda , it was like the main library of the jade sword sect where the sect stored cultivation manuals, fighting arts of different kind, spell books for spells, formation, booked about animals , plants, demons, herbs and pill formulas, not everyone could enter any time they wanted they needed to give merit points enough to enter, Tian could enter the first five floors of pagoda whenever he wanted, but the floors above was of limits to Tian.

He was looking through the section of pill formula , he knew very little about making pill but he knew about incense type pills , which could be used as gas tranquilizer, if he went to the core formation poison master and told him to give make him a poison incense he could be royaly screwed over so he wanted to find a formula he was familiar with so that he would have some kind edge, Tian was looking for something with the effect of nitrogen peroxide from the real world, if he couldn’t find anything he was even mixing some nitrogen with reduced oxygen , didn’t knew where he would find them.

Tian had his mask of nothingness on as he made his way to the immortal cave of Wen Liang the core formation poison master in the mountain where the inner disciples stayed. Tian came in front of the immortal cave of Wen Liang and slowly broke formation guarding the place and he went inside, as he went inside more than a hundred darts came at him from every direction and a cloud of poison started to surround him. Tian did not do anything, he waited for the protective formation he placed on him self to do it’s magic and said “I am not here to hurt you, I have a proposition for you, I want your help in stealing the golden lotus and we split it sixty fourty” the torrent of poison attack stoped , and at the correct time as my protective formation was about to break,

I continued “ I know you participated in the tournament for a chance to get in the special realm and list spectacularly” , as I said it another attack came and broke my protective formation

“Now, now , I am the one who giving you a second chance at getting the golden lotus not the one who beat you” seems like he is still sore about me beating him, I continued “ I want you to make me a incense pill” I said as I tossed the formula onto a seemingly empty, dark corner of the cave , he can’t detect me using spiritual sense but I could sense him, poison masters was very easy to deal with at a straight one on one fight but hard to fight in these condition, it was probably a trap that I could sense him at his home ground literally. I was right as he came out of the corner as a net of poison was covering him, he caught it and read it still full on guard against me.

“could you make it “I asked

“Yes I can,” he said

“Are you interested” I asked him as I slowly reached for the memory wiping powder.

“ Yes, I am “ he said “but this could knock us out too “he said. As he said that I threw another formula to him “that is the antidote”. “Ok” he said as he looked at the formula, “how do we do it” he said

He is very enthusiastic “before that I need you to swear on the heavenly dao that you won’t alter the formula and you won’t betray me and try to kill me to take the lotus for your self”.I said

“I swear on the heavenly dao that I won’t alter the formula you gave me and I won’t betray you and try to kill you, in the condition that you won’t try to kill me after I am of no use to you, and I get to come with you to the special realm, only for five days after the special realm opens, “he said

I looked at him questioningly “ only for five days”

“I don’t even know who you are , what if you are a enemy of the sect or became one in the future , or if I killed you in the future without knowing your real identity it is a very big risk of taking a oath to never kill another person who I don’t even know. You turn”. He said

“I swear on the heavenly dao that I won’t betry you or try to kill you , on the condition that you won’t try to kill me or fuck me over, only for five days after the special realm opens”. I also made the oath.

“So what’s the plan, “ he asked

After explaining plan I placed a teleportation formation in his immortal cave “ this teleportation formation will help you get in, this is an one time use specific location formation that only works in one way so we can’t use it to come back, I will get in using other formation on my side, and the both of us will meet in the special realm, after acquiring the lotus we will use the teleportation formation on the island near the special realm using this special tailisman that is required activate it and then escape together to the safe location, while not getting killed by immortals, any questions “.

“No” he said

“Good , and don’t mess up, I will see you in ten days in the special realm ,” I said as I give him a ring, full of resources for the pill.

Tian left Wen Liang immortal cave

“Now I just need an alibi , I haven’t seen my cousin for a while”.
