“A power that can devour anything…hum…some angels and archangels have a variant of that power, but nothing on the level of being able to devour a God’s power…Perhaps only the previous late God of Creation could accomplish it.” Arkun solemnly said.

“Late God of Creation? What ever happened to him, I’m curious?” Silas asked.

“ Well, obviously, he’s dead…there was a rebellion led by the first most powerful Archangel, Morningstar, who hated the humans and wanted to create a world devoid of humans as the new God of Creation. The God of Creation had expended all his energy to create the universe and the humans. Morningstar thought it was a good time to strike and with his army, strike he did. The God of Creation died, but before Morningstar could claim the power of God, he was betrayed by his twelve generals who shared the power of God among themselves. Morningstar was then cast into hell along with all the angels who sided with the humans.” Said Arkun.

“I see…that Morningstar fellow sure is pitiful, he must be crazy by anger by now, yet he’s helpless against everything.” Silas shook his head.

Arkun then interjected, “Why feel pity for someone like him? His hatred for humans is an infinite time greater than anyone who’s ever lived.”

“Where do you stand then? Do you hate humans?” Silas asked.

Arkun took a long time to find the right words. In the end, he didn’t say anything and only sighed.

Silas smiled as he stood up from the basin and headed for the nearest closet to get a towel and some clothes. As he walked, he said, “I understand. You were never against humans, you only chose the strongest side. The winning side. Or else you would have spent eternity in hell. If you didn’t fail when you tried to eat the soul of the Evernight Goddess back then, you would be a God now.”

He donned a blue attire and turned to Arkun and said: “Now that everything is out of the way, I want to know, exactly how long have I been in a coma?”

“Ten years.” Arkun answered.

“What happened during that time?” Silas could read his memories, but he didn’t know how to do it and was even afraid of trying lest he left Arkun’s soul in shambles if he attempted to.

“When we came back to Misthaven province, your father was furious. He made preparations for three years by securing help from the Rauwan Kingdom and hiring every mercenary he could find in all the neighboring kingdoms at a high price. He then waged war with his half-brother Jaden Stewart. The war lasted a year, and, in the end, Jaden and his cronies died. He purged the entire Lynn capital of anyone who defied him. He then took his rightful place as the King of the Eralis Kingdom. We are now in the royal palace in the Lynn capital.”

“I see. I want to see my parents now, where are they?” Silas asked.

Before Arkun could say anything, a middle-aged woman ran into the room and then embraced Silas while crying profusely. A middle-aged man then entered the room with a solemn look, but it could be seen how excited he actually was.

Silas looked at their aged faces and then felt sorrow deep within himself. He also remarked that the wait of ten years had been tremendously taxing to their minds and wellbeing. But he was here now. Everything would be okay as long as he was there.

What followed was a feast that lasted three days and three nights. The entire kingdom celebrated the wellbeing of the crown prince of the Eralis Kingdom.
