《MONA》Chapter 7

Kevin
I tossed and turned in my bed the whole night. I knelt in front of Rebecca and tried to explain her the situation but she was just deaf to my words and left.
Now I don't even know what my relationship status is? Are we done or not? Shit! She could have at least given me some clarity before leaving.
Today the mystery girl made breakfast again and we didn't talk, again. It feels awkward. She stays in my house, helps prepare breakfast for me and we don't even know each other's name.
I'll talk to her about this when I return back from work today and hopefully she is not in a mess.
The whole day was busy again and I completely forgot about Rebecca until I saw her missed call while I was changing after my shift.
Coming out of the hospital I called her.
"Hey Kevin, busy?" She sounded okay and that made me sigh in relief.
"Work just got over and I am returning home. You want to talk about something?"
"Yeah. Can we meet today at the club? I am really regretting of my behavior yesterday and would like to spend some quality time with you, discuss about yesterday. So... can you come to the club?"
"Sure. I'll be there in an hour."
I rushed home and didn't found the stranger anywhere. For all I knew she might have left so I didn't bother much and got ready for the club.
Inside the club within the flash of colorful lights I found Rebecca sitting along with her friends laughing heartily and having a glass of drink. Strange. I thought it was going to be just us here.
I made my way towards the table and all the joy and laughs just vanished all of a sudden. I surprisingly looked at everyone there and broke into an awkward smile.

"Wow Rebecca, he really is shameless," a girl sitting beside Rebecca commented.
"How did you even fall for this idiot? Look at what he is wearing." Another boy snickered at the black casual hoodie I was wearing.
Rebecca just sat there giving small smiles at her so called friend's statements.
"What is this Rebecca? Didn't we meet here so we can talk about yesterday?" I asked her in a calm tone but I can feel the tears poking in my eyes.
"There is nothing to talk about Kevin. I am breaking up with you." She stood up from her seat and came closer to me. "You are a dog Kevin, my dog, who wags his tail and carries on all my command. I kept you around because of the rich parents you had and nothing else. So, take a hint and just leave."
Two of her friends got up and started pushing me away while the others sat there and laughed at me.
When I tried to resist them and looked at Rebecca pleading her to talk to me, the guys started to hit me and that undid me.
I fell on the ground and tears started pouring out of my eyes. I am such an idiot, I thought to myself. All these time she was just mooching off of me and I thought it was love.
How blind have I been? In all these two years she only spent time with me when she wanted something from me and I thought it was my fault, because I stayed busy in studying, getting a job but how wrong I was.
With all these thoughts roaming wild in my head and eyes blurred by tears I didn't notice the knockout punch that came flying towards me in time and shut my eyes tight waiting for the impact but that never arrived.

Just a Rock
There was once a writer that felt like creating a story about a rock. A rock so amazing that its story just needed to be told. How amazing? Not amazing at all, on the contrary, quite ordinary. Don't believe me? Then read on. Edit: Resumed the story. Can’t do any more audio versions for now. I plan on editing some of the now non-applicable author notes and maybe rearranging the two side stories or combining them with the deleted chapters.

Not to mention all the different franchises and characters I am going to mention, I don't own a single one of these nor do I claim to by writing this, I just want people to have something to enjoy since I am drained on my other work.I hope you enjoy, and to say it right off the bat since this is something that upsets me, I don't mind if you're critical of the work, but jesus, don't be rude. I love criticism but I hate people that go and put a 1 star with no reason, but if you put 1 star and give me a good reason then I'll use it to grow as an author! Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoy the story!
