《MONA》Chapter 6

Mona
First he was staring at me, downright ogling at my... my precious and now he is leaning in for what... a kiss? That's it. I am done with pretending to be good to him. This dude is so dead.
I stretched my right hand in an attempt to reach to my knife when the door suddenly banged open and both our faces jerked in that direction.
'Who was this chick?' A short height blonde girl stood there and she didn't looked just surprised to see us together but downright mad.
"Baby I can explain." I heard the boy in front of me gulp and felt his hand tremble.
'Uh-Oh... Girlfriend!'
The girl stomped her leg and walked out of the house. "Baby...wait!" The boy got up and fumbled after her.
Finally, some drama. God, I was so bored. These days I did nothing but fight, I was missing some entertainment.
Loud noises drifted from outside the door and suddenly I craved popcorn. I stood up and slowly walked towards the kitchen cabinet and grabbed a bag of potato chips that I bought today morning.
I came back and sat on the couch making myself comfortable and popping a single chip every next second.
Suddenly I heard a muffled sob. Was he crying? Gosh, this is ridiculous. Does he even have a backbone?
Just when I was about to get up and get another packet of chips he entered the house. His head was down and he was wiping his face.
His eyes found me and he turned red. "Wait... I'll get you something to wear" he walked briskly towards his room. Aww... was he shy now... Idiot!
Sleep from my eyes was far away today. My body was still in pain and my mind was restless.

What have I gotten myself into? I shouldn't have taken this job to begin with. The Gaos were dangerous and I knew it. Working as a spy in there was suicidal but I still agreed to do it.
Now I can't notify anyone about my whereabouts and neither can I go home. I have to hide here till I am done with the Gao gang and God knows how long that will be in my current condition.
Argh... this couch is so uncomfortable to lie on and it's freezing out here. Can't he see that I am going through pain because of this?
Guess I'll have to talk to him into putting me somewhere warm inside the house. The idiot will obviously oblige.

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I am also not a professional author. This is simply a rough draft and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, this fiction is rather slow-paced for a rather long time. But compare it to a bundle of dynamite, you wouldn't want that to explode right in someone's face, would you? Infatuated, he studied historical martial arts, became a battle junkie, and even won a sponsorship to Europe by dominating tournaments. Clyde’s best friend introduced him to a live action role play group, and after becoming mechanically skilled in the system and mastering every class and ability, he was pulled into another world- which just so happens to operate with the same rules for its magic and classes as the LARP group!
