《MONA》Chapter 3

I can feel her burning gaze on me as I sat on the dining table munching my noodles nervously. She doesn't speak anything and her dark brown eyes were blank.
I was so scared of her that I didn't dare ask her anything about her condition. I can tell that she was badly stabbed by knife which caused that 8 inch gash on her stomach.
There were also scratches on her face and hands which meant that she was involved in a fight. I am curious enough to ask her but I am not an idiot to not guess the consequence of that.
I asked her before if she wanted to have some soup that I could heat up for her but when she didn't answer I chickened out and never asked her twice.
You guys must be thinking that I am such a scaredy cat (which I generally am) but you can't blame me here.
How would you feel when late in the evening a mysterious girl, dressed up in all black and looking destroyed, bleeding to death turns up at your house? Yup, the feeling is very shitty.
I finished my dinner and washed the dishes. The thought of getting her out of my house seemed illogical and life threatening so I decided against that.
"Well, there is soup in the fridge. You can warm it up in the microwave if you feel hungry at night."
No reaction.
"You can also leave if you feel like it" I smiled nervously when she glanced at me sideways. "I am just kidding. Of course, you can't leave in that condition. Take your time." I blabbered. Hoping that I have saved my life for now.
"I have work tomorrow. So, yeah, goodnight." I ran fast across the hall and locked myself inside my room and took out my inhaler pressing it to my mouth.

In the morning I opened my eyes to the soft sunlight passing through the curtains.
I was so happy today. Finally, I will be working my dream job and will no more be dependent on my parents.
I spaced out and started thinking about yesterday's events. The injured girl, sleeping on the couch in the hall, in my house.
'Oh shit!!' I jumped out of the bed and ran out to the hall.
Nothing. The couch was empty. Just to make sure, I looked around the whole house. No one was around. She was gone.
My shoulders slumped and I was surprisingly worried. She was not in a great condition, how can she just get up and leave? Was the first thought that struck me but then I felt relieved.
She was dangerous and I am just glad that she spared my life and left.
Anyways, I don't have time to feel anything right now. With quick steps I got ready for the first day of my work.
Hmm... the smell of omelette and toast teased my nostrils, my stomach started to rumble. I am so hungry that I am smelling non-existent things.
With drool sticking to my lips I stood in front of the kitchen counter. With widely opened eyes I looked at the mysterious girl, now dressed in one of my full sleeved, grey hoodie above her ripped jeans, plating the freshly prepared toast and omelette.
"Breakfast is ready" she chirped and stretched the plate towards me.

Winter Sovereign
Serra Recquir, a boy born in the world of Sierra, was born with weak and with mediocre talent. Despite the odds, he pursued the path of cultivation. He faced numerous trials, deadly foes and great friends. Eventually, he stepped into the world of the Divine Realm. Breaking past the limits of the world and traveling to higher planes. After millions of years, he finally reached the summit. Becoming a Sovereign Paragon. Longing for the world he left countless years ago, he finally returns to his own world. Author's Note: This story is different from other wuxia novels. If those novels focus on characters that struggle from the bottom and reach the top, this story is one where someone already reached the top. I figured it would be interesting to start a novel from this concept so I started it. Well, however this plays through, just like how I finished my previous novel, Doll's Smile, I'll finish this novel too. Of course, I'm writing this novel just for fun. I like to write lighthearted novels like this. Novels that I would read while listening to music and eating snacks on a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. Do forgive me if I'm slow in writing.
