The next day Chris wakes up and asks Roger to narrate the incident.

Apparently, after the incantation was completed, Chris fainted with none of the elements showing any reaction, Roger had to rush in to take Chris away. There was a lot of uproar post that.

In the evening gala, this became a hot gossip topic.

Chris felt something wrong about Sarah telling him about loving him no matter what and William's distant reaction. In fact, both of them were nowhere to be seen.

Chris couldn't help but notice the sympathetic look from his servants as well. He asked himself "What did I miss?"

Life went on for Chris in the big mansion, he wasn't playful as before. His servants thought it was because of the naming ceremony that Chris acted such, they didn't bother him much, even the uptight and strict Roger went easy on him with his classes

What they didn't realise, his reason was completely different, he remembered Eva, recollecting her existence left a big emptiness inside him, "How could I forget her?", "Where is she?", "I want to see her", "I want to touch her". He found himself in this loop that didn't stop. What made it worse was that he couldn't remember anything else from his previous life, he only had her one memory.

Being lost within himself, he didn't even realise that William and Sarah hadn't come back to the mansion for the last three months.

Then one day when he was outside the mansion, he saw William and Sarah's carriage approaching. Surprisingly, he was happy seeing them, in the last three months he had felt very lonely even with all the people around him, seeing them he felt a certain kinship, he felt the urge to rush towards them, but he didn't do it.

They didn't notice him and entered the mansion, Chris followed. Upon seeing him, Sarah rushed to embrace him. She held him for a long time, trying to hold her tears. Even being a level two warrior renowned for her toughness, she couldn't help but show her motherly side when around him. William kept his distance again, Chris gave him a formal greeting as is expected to be given to the family head.

William acknowledged it and said "We need to talk about your future son", immediately Sarah interrupted "Not now William, let's do that after we settle down".

William agreed to it, and they moved to their chambers, while walking away, Chris couldn't help but notice that Sarah looked a bit larger than normal, there was a change in the way she walked.

The next day, a formal Dinner was announced, a dinner was called "Formal Dinner" when all the three-member of the Dreux family sat at the family table to eat. This was quite rare considering how much William was unavailable. It had all the features of a formal dinner, they will dress accordingly and a feast will be prepared just for the occasion.

William would sit at the head of the table with Sarah and Chris beside him. But this time Chris was asked to sit right opposite William at the end of the table, Sarah as usual sat beside William. He kept feeling that something was wrong and that he was not seeing it.

Once the dinner was over and the table cleared, all the servants were asked to leave, only Roger remained.

William began "Son, you know how important Dreux family is to this kingdom's glory, we come from a proud lineage of Fire mages, with our family founder being a co-founder of this kingdom, throughout history, we have helped maintain peace in this kingdom and helped the kingdom flourish". Chris has heard this many times, this is how most of the time William would speak to him, he looked at Sarah who refused to look at him.

William continued " With our proud history we have a duty to our ancestors, our family, our king, and the people of this kingdom, as the Family head all this responsibility falls upon me, and I must take decisions keeping them as a priority." Chris looked at Sarah who was almost now in tears.

"We must show strength to lead, and only the strong can lead. As the family head, I must do everything to ensure the Dreux family will continue to thrive even centuries after I have gone."

William looks at Sarah, who is now unable to hold her tears anymore. William turns to Chris.

With an unflinching gaze, he looks at Chris and says "We cannot have a nonmagic user as the next family head of the Dreux family, you will not be the next family head, Sarah is pregnant with our next child, and will be the next family heir, this is all I have to say about it."

Without a moment's pause, he gets up and walks away. Sarah looks at Chris with her water-filled eyes and all she could say is "I am sorry", she gets up and follows William.

Leaving him and Roger all alone, Roger doesn't say anything.

Chris gets up walks to his room and allows sleep to take over him.
