《RE:Origin》C11 Training II

"My, you're finally here. I almost thought you won't be visiting me anymore." Lisa muttered with a sad look on her face the moment she noticed a familiar figure walking into the library. It is none other than Takahashi Enryu.
"I'm sorry, the Commander seems to have taken a liking toward me as he keeps being persistent on sparing with me despite me being weaker than him. I wish it was someone beautiful instead of that fierce-looking uncle," He sighed when he recalled the strange experience he had moments ago. Even though he tried his best to be low-profile, the Commander didn't let him go until everyone's finally left exhausted.
Now that he thinks about it, he should have kept the fact that he learned martial art a secret. Because he felt he was in a rush—rather, he didn't see any point in learning something he already did back in the previous world. He asked the Commander which earned the latter's chuckles. Afterward...one can easily guess, Raymond was surprised that a Hero like Enryu actually had some combat experience. Though his opponents had been small thugs, they are still an opponent nonetheless. In the Commander's eyes, it gives him enough experience to protect himself at the very least.
Essentially, he didn't want to stay too long in the castle if possible.
"Fufufu, I see. Alright, I understand. Then, not wanting to waste time any longer, shall we begin your training?" Lisa nodded her head in understanding. Before she can start, she can tell he was holding himself from speaking. With a smile, she looks at him.
"I have a question before that," Enryu said as he raised his hand, he understood that she was signalling him to speak what was on his mind with her smile. Receiving a curt nod from her as a response, he then continues.

"My class is Monk. From where I came from, a Monk is something like a close-combat class which focused more on physical than magic. You might not understand what I'm saying but I gained this knowledge from games. That's why I have this question in mind, can I learn magic with this class? Is it even possible?"
"It is," but before he could get all excited, she shut him down with her words, "But that depends whether you're talented or not. If one really wished to learn magic despite the difference in class, they can. However, they will have to suffer more than people with magic related classes when learning magic."
"So, what you're saying is, if I work hard, I can use magic eventually?"
"Yes, but actually no. Like I said, it depends on your talent. Without any talent in magic, even if your class is magic related, you won't be able to use magic. Sometimes, people are just that unlucky. Since you're one of the Heroes, perhaps common sense of this world won't work on you. Either way, we shall see. If you can learn magic, then great."
Enru nodded. A thought crossed his mind; if he can't learn magic, the knowledge he learned by then won't be a total waste as he can use it to train his sister instead. She's a magician, if she still can't learn magic by then, perhaps he can be of help to her. A smile tugged on his lips at the thought, he then shook his head before focusing on the matter in front of him.
Magic—rather, Mana. It's an energy invisible to the naked eyes, and it exists since the Age of God where Gods walked among men. As to whether Gods still walk among them in this day and age, that's a mystery for mankind to explore. Before one can conjure a spell, they have to be good at controlling the mana inside of them.

"Here, take my hand. I'll slowly release my mana into you bit by bit, try to feel the unknown energy coursing through your body. Once you get the hang of it, you will be ready for the second step." Lisa said while showing her hand for him to hold. Without questioning her, Enryu took her hand.
For people of this world, it would usually take them months just to get the hang of it, and possibly years to master the first step. That's because this practice can't be done excessively as it would only hurt one's body. Mana is something akin to poison to those who haven't yet had their body adapt to it. Once in a while won't do much other than making them nauseous for a few minutes, but too much would result in their body being destroyed from inside out.
Because of the high risk involved, there aren't that many magicians in this world. If any, they are all great to the point that countries would do anything to bring them to their side.
Looking at the frowning Enryu as her mana slowly slipped into his body, she couldn't help but wonder if he would surprise her with his talent. Though he appeared to have zero confidence, she still thought he might have hopes, didn't matter how faint it may be. After all, Heroes are an existence known to be separated from the common sense of this world.
She faintly remembered the Heroes that appeared in the distant past, and they are all beyond common sense. They were weaker at first, just like how Enryu and the kids that were just summoned to this world. But once they were given enough time to grow, they became a force to be reckoned with. That was why many empires and kingdoms alike had banned and destroyed all books in regards to the hero summoning. That should have been the case, however, a small kingdom like Xathaso was able to summon these many heroes, that person must have been involved without a doubt, so she thought.
Before her thought could run wild, she was surprised when she felt her mana being pushed out of his body.
"You..." Looking at the relaxed yet blissful expression on his face, she can guess what had just happened. It's unbelievable, however she had no choice but to acknowledge it. The figure in front of her, Takashi Enryu, one of the summoned heroes, he already got the hang of manipulating the mana inside his body. How long has it been, five minutes? If she had heard the news from someone else, she would have slapped them hard for lying to her in a broad daylight.
